I get a CTD at loading databases. I have checked my map files and all of them are properly indexed... There are no errors listed in the graphics.log, but I'll post my setup.log. For some reason it stops at CasusBelliDatabase initialized.

I included the top line because it shows the map has properly initialized (I think). Does anyone have a clue?

After the CasusBelliDatabase minor titles are initialized. Maybe the problem is there?
 
Could it be a problem that my holdings lack holders? I've made holders for all three kingdoms and removed the empire, and renamed all provinces, duchies, kingdoms and holding. Still CTD.
Nah. (Landed) holdings having no owner won't make the game crash. Again, I referred to the fact that _MINOR_ titles are parsed right after casus belli. Title holders is something else.
But the problem is probably, as always, something completely different. The logs aren't exactly helpful to track down CTDs :/
 
Okay so I found this in the exceptions.log, which I had apparently overlooked. Could it be of any help?

Tried scaling down the maps, and got past the minor_title generating during the loading. However, i now get this in the error.txt:
[virtualfilesystem.cpp:707]: Could not open file: gfx/flags/flagfiles.txt, error: Insecure filename

Any idea? I can't find the flagfiles.txt anywhere.
 
Okay I think I fixed the flagfile problem by changing my user_dir in the .mod file. I then got a whole load of errors stemming from the 00_bookmarks.txt, which went away when I created a new character and assigned him as holder. Now I CTD at Loading Flags, in the setup.log, it is right before it loads history and wars.
 
I tried to create a first test-mod. But it always crashes when loading data base. Does anybody know what might be wrong?

I don't have time to play with it right now, but are you sure your .mod file (which I think should be at the same level as the mod folder, not inside the mod, unless that has changed?) wants to replace things like events and decisions? Because then your game has no events at all...

I would advise taking parts of the mod out until you're just changing one thing at a time, then putting them back in slowly once you've established what works.

Thank your for your advice. I have eleminated the wrong pixels and reworked the coastlines, but now it crashes while loading trees.
This is an improvement, but it still doesn`t work. Maybe you have an idea.
