GREATER NORWEGIAN REALM
Hemming, by the Grace of God, King of Norway and Denmark, King of Sweden, the Wends and the Goths, Sovereign of the Ocean Sea, Overlord of Finland, Over-Jarl of the Norse Isles, and Tsar of Northern Russia :
To Geoffroy, patriarch of the de Flandre family :
Greetings!
It has come to Our attention that you seek unlawfully to deprive Our good and faithful vassal, Gui Yngling, Count of Weimar, of his rightful inheritance, to wit, the lands now held by Joan de Flandre, Count of Celle. We hereby give you notice and warning, that since these lands will come honestly to Our vassal, We will assuredly answer his call for Our aid as We are honour-bound to do, should he have need of Our armies to defend his rights. And in such a case We will come into your lands, and make war upon you with all Our power, and enforce Our fathers' claim on the cities of Bremen and Luneburg, that has by Our goodwill laid dormant for twoscore years and ten.
--------------------------------------------
To Our brother, Geoffrey de Normandie, by the Grace of God, King of England and Wales, King of Scots, Ard Righ of Ireland, Defender of the Faith, Rightful Duke of Normandy, and Lord of England-over-the-Sea :
Greetings in Christ!
Hoping that your dominion in England proper is now recovered from the ravages of the vile Great Rising, We wish to call your attention to your hereditary lands in Normandy, now held by the de Flandre family; and also to the ancient bonds between our two thrones, recently reinforced in honourable combat when Our father sent troops to your aid. Therefore We request that, should the de Flandre family continue its aggression, you come to Our aid, and make such war upon them as is in your power to do, and return them once more to the path of righteousness.
We remain, your loyal ally,
Hemming Yngling.

To the faithful Kings of Christendie :
Greetings and felicitations!
We wish to bring to your attention the rapacious actions of the House of Flanders, which now controls the third largest army in Europe as well as the richest lands, and shows no signs of stopping its expansion. Not only have they taken Normandy while England writhed broken-backed, they seek to interfere with their own law, to deprive an Yngling of his rightful inheritance! Too long have we stood aside and watched this villainous family build up their strength; the time has come to crush the nest of vipers in our midst. I call on the Conclave of Kings to assemble once more, and prune back this overgrowth so we can all breathe freely!
We remain, your brother in Christ,
Hemming Yngling.
