I dont think it is a wide-spread problem, its probably just me so that why i'm posting.. I've never had this problem and this is my 4th campaign.

Its mid spring in 1940 and i'm playing as the soviet union (grand campaign) and it just autosaved after the usual 5 months... After it autosaved (I actually didnt even notice that it was autosaving) the game went black, a windo eventually came up telling me that the game was forced to close, and then i appeared at my desktop.

When i re-loaded the autosave it got about half-way and i got a message saying something like this...

"-----Scenario File Has Errors-----
What would you like to do?
Abort? Retry? Ignore?"

Instictively i tried to ignore the malfunction, but alas when i unpaused the game it crashed in the exact same manner as before.

I tried the other options, i tried to change some things in-game and then save and reload before the time begins, ive broused through the save game file and nothing jumped out at me (i'm familiar with it as I have modded HOI and a bit of HOI2...

Of course, nothing works, hence I am here requesting assistance from the technical guru's.

I should add that my scenario file has not been altered except for a mod that I downloaded that removed the deathdates from my generals so i dont suffer the equivalent of the soviet officer purge every single year. If this is it (which i dont see how it could be) then i'll simply remove it.

I could, of course, reload the game 5 months before, but will i get the same error after another 5 hours of gameplay?

Well we do not officially support a game that uses a User made mod.

Obviously the save got corupted. Try the previous save either manually or Auto.

Asking how to fix it or avoid it, IS asking me to support it, that is what support is helping to get something to work. ;)
I tried to be helpful and offered my suggestion on how you could continue the game, you obviously did not want to follow that advice and instead felt the need to post what you did therefore this thread is closed. Contact the makers of the mod you installed for support on their mod.
