There should be an option to mend all the schisms that have happened within both Abrahamic faiths. This is because of the history of both sections which is as follows.
At the time of Yeshua's ministry, Judaism was divided into four main sects. They were Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes, and Netzirs. Pharisees were scholars, scribes, and teachers that operated under the Sadducees. The Sadducees were the temple priests and in charge of everything regarding the faith. Essenes were desert dwellers that believed that the entire temple system was corrupt and that it all needed to be redone. Finally, we have Netzirs who were the first followers of Yeshua. They were all Torah observant Jews that accepted that Yeshua was the messiah.
After the temple was destroyed in 70 AD, the Sadducees and Pharisees combined to form modern Rabbinic Judaism. Essenes just disappeared. Netzirs were still very much a part of Jewish life. They worshiped in the synagogues and maintained their Jewish identity. Another distinction between Netzirs was that they rejected oral law and maintained written law only.
I'm counting Samaritans not as a sect, but a different branch. They're objection to mainstream Judaism is over the decision to have Jerusalem as the site that Yahweh directed for his temple over Mt. Tabor.
Netzirs were in charge of the church founded by Yeshua and were the primary see for it. It wasn't until 90 AD when Ignatius the Bishop of Antioch separated the Gentiles off from the Church of Jerusalem to form what we now call Christianity. The split became permanent for Netzirs between Rabbinic and Christianity due to the Bar Kokhba Revolt of 132-135 AD. Netzirs supported the revolt until a rabbi declared Bar Kokhba the messiah. Since the messiah already came in the form of Yeshua this was blasphemy to them. They were kicked out of the synagogues and Jewish towns. At the same time, Rome passed an edict that a person can be either a Christian or a Jew. Meaning that Netzirs had to stop being Torah observant and embrace Gentile ways or be executed due to the war.
CK3 should take this history into account and have it to where Judaism, Christianity, and Netzirs being able to mend the schism between the three branches. This is an excellent page that details all of the various sects of Christianity and Judaism. It contains both books by Salamis, a 4th century Catholic priest, that catalogued all the sects around at that time and why the Catholic church considered them to be heretical.
Another excellent book is Nazarene Acts of the Apostles by I Clement. He was a Roman citizen and member of the royal family that studied under Peter. He records many of the interactions that Peter had with others as recorded in Acts.
I would like to ask that there be no trolling in this thread. If you have a disagreement with anything posit your sources that disputes these primary sources.
