IIRC, doesn't the UK have cores on India in 1936? That would stop BIN from showing up in the UK's list of releasable countries even if BIN works.

I've do the same for Catalunya.
Probably there is still something that escapes me, or is there something wrong with management of the Revolt.txt
For example :

From the directory of the 1936' scenario i took the file spain.inc than inside it contains (over the rest) this code :

Code:
  nationalprovinces      = { 334 332 333 339 338 341 343 346 347 349 350 351 352 353 354 342 355 340 330 331 356 329 357 535 536 537 961 962 963 964
                             965 348
                           }
  ownedprovinces         = { 334  332  333  339  338  341  343  346  347  349  350  351  352  353  354  342  355  340  330  331  356  329  357  535
                             536  537  961  962  963  964  965  957  955  954  967  971  972  1091
                           }

  controlledprovinces    = { 334  332  333  339  338  341  343  346  347  349  350  351  352  353  354  342  355  340  330  331  356  329  357  535
                             536  537  961  962  963  964  965  957  955  954  967  971  972  1091
                           }

Into the revolt.txt there's this one :

Code:
CAT = { # Catalonia
   date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1934 }
   expirydate = { day = 30 month = december year = 1964 }
   minimum = { 357 }
   extra = {  }
   capital = 357 # Barcelona
}

if i remove the id number 357 from nationalprovinces or from ownedprovinces of the Rep.Spain i can't see CATALUNYA in the list of releasable nations of the Rep.Spain. Why ???

PS : My English it's not the best, sry m8s ! :cool:

Still not home and thus, I can't check. Anyone downloaded it and saw if I missed something?

Also, I added the new nations with the abbrevations BIN, CKR, etc. and that should work now, because we won't have to use the U00-U99, correct?

Check back tomorrow and I'll fix it someone elses doesn't care to post a hotfix.

I've read this one in the AoD's faq (here ---> http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=429657)

-Added 60 more user defined countries (from 00-99 to A0-F9)

Probably I don't understand but i think it's not correct to add for example a BIN (or CAT) tag. For this the revolt.txt doesn't work.

Currently overloaded at work (320/hours in feb and already 70 hours in mars. So far.) but I've "fixed" the problem with nations not showing up as releasble: tags that I used, and thought would work, didn't so I had to revert to use U00, U01, U02, U03, etc. (Thans for the hint, pakotorino!)

Also, I made some smaller changes to the revolt file, so now only a communist nation can release a communist Yugoslavia and so forth.

Will try to make another, new version with some new content during the week once things settle down a bit, but here's the fix if one would like to play a scenario now when there's saturday... and for the most of us, weekend!

Wait, U00? You overwrote the EU?
Hm, maybe it would, for the next version, be better to use the *new* tags... UA0, UA1, that sort of thing.

You're welcome TeutonburgerW and thank you for your pack ! I'm waiting greatly your new release.
Cya

I agree, surely. I think TeutonburgerW will use the "free" tag.

No worries. Didn't take the tag U00 (EU). Just a way to describe what I've done and since there is a U00 tag, I started my example from there.

And as I don't think, that the AOD team will include more custom nations (like EU) or if they do, it will be these nations (that already been introduced by the TT-mod), I like to keep in the current line and add these nations directly after U00 (EU), Communist Yugoslavia as U01 and so forth.

pakotorino @ Thans for the support and interest! If someone uses - and even better, enjoy - what I've done and do, I'm more than satisfied... and feel that I payed off a bit more to the community who've given me so much through out the years with all mods, aar and discussions!

Well, I was thinking more of concern for those converting ARMA mods adding new nations to AOD, and wanting to combine them with MGM- plenty of those do use the early tags, but obviously none use the new AOD tags.
That, and as far as I know, you'd be the first to use them!

Valid point, Lordinsane . If someone would care to redo them (just a matter of changing tags in .csv and gfx) and send them to me by PM, I'd be very, very grateful. Currently at work and my time right now are very limited, so anything "boring" (like reassigning tags for a thrid time) I don't have to do, is very good, so I can make "new" stuff, like a new colorscale with the great support by Titan79!

@ Lennartos,

this one is for you (or, for the dev who worked with map colors/modes). I'm trying to implement a new graphic scale for geographic map by changing the values of the colors the game uses for plains, mountains, urban etc. So I changed the values and made e.g. hills brown, which is good IMHO since thus they can be easily distinguished from deserts.

Everything would run fine except for one thing: the supply map mode. Here yellow (and its various shades) has turned to shades of brown since apparently they share the same color as the hills in geo mode (it's Dark Orange).

Now, my question is: since AFAIK the shades of yellow were originally not used in supply map mode, could we associate another color rather than "Dark Orange" to display them? This would solve the problem I guess...

political and terrain

what i've done with those files, were to remove two of four layers so it would be less glossy and a bit darker, but can't test it at work, thats why I ask for it if my theory that you can remove these layers are correct :)

Here you go.

(I had to convert them to .gif, otherwise they would be very big in terms of Kbytes).

Same procedure as before?

Yes, but without terrain:

colors are as you know the same anyways and that's for a later stage. Now I want to remove the glossiness and lightness of the map... but still want it to be readable names on all provinces (which like grey germany wasn't in the first verison I posted...) then tweaking colors come. Right now I'm just trying to understand the colorscalesscheme and well... it's getting forward. :p
