If anything the only suggestion I can make, as I too have noticed a bit of "stagnation" (playing the Crowned Stag Scenario as prefer to kind of always start out in peace team and let things develop), will be defiantly to add more flavor events and building options since it seems you've formed a good working relationship with idib816‎ (Prince and Thane Mod)

The problem of stagnation depends on several factors IMO
- ruler traits, Targaryens are more "unstable" than Barethons("madness trait")
- high fertility and low mortality of newborn babies
- rulers high life expectancy(60-75 or more)
So, if you have long live king with good skils and traits you are unlucky and boring game for many years

On current patch(mod wersion) Westeros is more stable Robert almost always wins, and that the reason

Another thought... perhaps an event or an ability to give land to the hedge knights you can recruit? Maybe they offer to take a lordship or a knighthood in lue of money?

but then they wouldnt be hedge knights anymore and would lose the others following them as their small income from the lordship wouldnt be enough to keep them.

Er... Hedge Knights are already knights when you get them. And there's nothing stopping you from granting them land if you so choose.

Ive seen plenty of megawars in my games, just with the throne generally winning.

One thing ive been thinking about, is an Essos for banished people to go to, as currently everyone goes to the wall, even women as its the only place outside of the realm.
Would it be possible to have on the Stepstones province [the one current uninhabitable] an independent duchy [republic maybe to make it unplayable] called Essos, to represent characters from westeros across the narrow sea. With measures in place to make it so no war can be declared against or by Essos so its just there as a place for banished characters to go but cant actually do anything or effect westeros at all.

Tyrosh would be perfect for this. It's on a Stepstone island further west than any of the main landmass of Essos, yet still separated by enough water that you'd need ships to get there. Take away Tyrosh's ships, plus removing all CB related to it like is done for the Night's Watch, and you'd be able to exile people from Westeros.

Is anyone else having a tough time increasing other people's opinions of you? whenever i use the new personal interaction and send them a gift it only increases their opinion by 5 as opposed to +10-49 like before :3

Also, is there any chance of mercenary fleets like in vanilla CK2? and general upping the max size of mercs up from a mere 1500 to a bit higher like in vanilla CK2 as well? (of course with increased cost etc)

I haven't found what the "show my friends/enemies" does yet. i pick one of the 4 and my master of spies says "ok" and that's it, he doesnt tell me who are friends, rivals, etc etc.

I sent one of my daughters off to the silent sisterhood to see what it would do but... is it supposed to do anything besides make her uneligible to inherit the throne and give her that "Silent Sisterhood" trait of -10 diplo, -10000% fertility.

I'm also trying to get a valayrian steel sword into my rulers hands but this is proving difficult >.> The grandson of Arthur Dayne needs one! :p (i married Arthur's niece to him, she had 1 son and died in childbirth and i had arthur educate him and he has 24 martial skill. if only he got dawn when arthur died though :/ (but i already mentioned that once before))

Is there any way to display who fights in tournaments? like a breakdown similar to tournament brackets so see who fights who in what rounds etc? just a thought.

There's no good way to put Essos in the game. There's too much empty land that we wouldn't be able to traverse. And that's only one of the many and sundry problems. Maybe if Paradox expands upon the game in later patches and expansions, but right now there's no sensible reason to prioritize this. Especially when we can just add stuff to Westeros.

It is clear by the map's dimensions that you have left open the possibility of including the at least the Free Cities though, hmm?

I was thinking the steptones because its on the map. What i was asking for is just an abstraction to have a place for exiles to go so it wouldnt need to be in the right place.
If it was to be a new island, if it was in the Mare Incognitum then you wouldnt need to worry about them having ships as its non crossable, and if they have no CBs then ship having wouldnt matter anyway.
Its just that every criminal and conquered, annexed or ousted lord ends up on the wall, with his family in tow and its a bit weird. Especially when you get three generations of targaryens as Lord Commanders of the Night Watch after Robert wins the starting war.
It just feels like the mod needs somewhere else for the unwanted to go, and importantly, somewhere where they wont join the nightwatch, gain and trait and lose all plausibly to return from.

Awesome mod, I really enjoy it!
One question though:
There are new ambitions in play, and a lot of them are kind of ambiguous to me. For instance "become a great fighter". How do you accomplish that? There's no plot power thing, and no new decisions come up as far as I can tell. There are more like this, such as 'Befriend your liege' etc.
How do you accomplish these?

Edit: also some of the mountain clan guys have taken the crossing, and as the Paramount lord of the Riverlands I get a CB to take the Crossing back from them. However when I win the war nothing happens.
In normal CK2 terms: I'm a king and another king has taken one of my de jure duchies. I get a CB to take the duchy back from that king. When I win the war nothing happens.
Is there a particular reason behind this, or just a bug?

This is an awesome mod. Why did you guys have to release it in the final week of school? My grades have probably dropped form solid A-'s to B's.

LOL I played the heck out of it myself, but I am taking a break for new patch. I want to play it now, but waiting for the new patch, but when the new patch finally comes out. OR version I should say, I will probably be lost in this mod for a few days. I feel your pain tho CK2 by itself is so awesome, not sure why more RTS fans don't play it. Now that this mod has came out, makes the game even more awesome! I really can't thank the guys enough that took the time outta their life to make this mod for all of us.

I think the key to making the post-war game more interesting will just be more events, more intrigue, more benefits to being King of the Seven Kingdoms.
We have a ton of things planned for post-war, guys. We're not just banging rocks together. Now, if you guys actually want to write and implement these things yourself, that's a great way to get on the team.

2) Iron Bank of Braavos - As King of the Seven Kingdoms you can take out loans with the iron bank by requesting an envoy from Baaavos via a decision, and will get a value based on your king's stats, traits (diligent etc?) and other factors, and if you fail to pay them back they will offer money to someone else with a claim to the throne under the agreement that they will honour the debt when they get in power, perhaps give them an army (equiv of a holy order or something without upkeep?) and a ton of cash and give them an option of declaring war to provoke more wars for the throne.
We were talking about the Iron Bank earlier today. I think we generally liked the idea of including it, but it's not a priority.

5) Events that encourage pushing claims to the Iron Throne to happen more often and with the megawars system, making heirs of overthrown dynasties much more dangerous to a new dynasty king especially if they are not popular, make killing infant heirs of old dynasty when usurping the throne a common practice in these circumstances, and even adding events swapping/faking the death of child heirs only to spring them back at adulthood as contenders to the throne. Essentially meaning for e.g. the Targaryans may be wiped out but one of those children although apparently dead may be resurrected later and it turned out someone snuck them away, have an event chain that determines which Lord Paramounts support that claim and launch a mega war to install the rightful king back on the throne. this will also help keep major houses in the game for longer without relying on the game mechanics and AI to keep them going. In my experience once a house has lost a major title they never get it back via the game mechanics alone. you could even fake Essos in the meantime by having a huge army of Dothraki or Unsullied spawn at Dragon Stone or somewhere on the eastern shore with an exiled pretender in command, and as soon as they completely capture their first territory award them the title during the war to give them a base of operation.
Modelling a generalized Targaryen hunt that follows any successful usurpation was literally the first thing I designed when I joined the team.

7) Not sure if this is possible via mod, but make Kings Landing EXTREMELY difficult to capture via siege, but also give a whopping war score for it, also add more siege events that can be influenced by pre-war preparations, so contenders for the throne could vastly increase their chances by for example winning the support of Varys or equivalent Master of whisperers before they declared war and getting the gates opened for them. ;D
This is already the case. King's Landing is a 5k tier, same as every other impenetrable fortress save Storm's End. The Open the Gates plot was something we wanted, but can't really do effectively since any_friend and random_friend are broken non-features. I have a mechanic that will model the Sack of King's Landing and the murder of the royal family, only it's a generalized event that will fire anytime you take it. Same for war participant capitals on a smaller scale, and castles in general on an even smaller scale.

I can tell you with a great deal of statistical certainty that this is not the case. I've analyzed close to a hundred game reports of Robert's Rebellion and it's surprisingly well balanced. I'm still a bit shocked at how well it works out, we just kind of stumbled into it.

It is clear by the map's dimensions that you have left open the possibility of including the at least the Free Cities though, hmm?
The possibility is there, for sure. The eventuality of its inclusion is entirely up to Paradox.

So I saw some complaint about num_of_friends and num_of_rivals triggers always returning 0. While this is true on day 0, they are calculated at the end of the first day and should work correctly at any point besides the first day a game is loaded. I believe that'll be changed next patch, but you should still be able to use them now.

But there's still the problem that add_friend and add_rival do nothing and that any/random_friend and any/random_rival are broken scopes. If these are being fixed in 1.06 as well, then christ, I'll have your babies.

Ahhh sorry no I wasn't implying you did not, it was in response to all the talk of Essos has to be in there to spice up the game which I disagree with and think the more that goes into Westeros the better (though Essos would be great too when it's possible, obviously :D).

Question about Jaime Lannister: Why is he Celibate?
