Hey Nendur, thank you for releasing the standalone version of the customize appearance. I've tried my hand at getting it to work with AGOT, and I think I got ca_events working (I've been using blgccagot files as a reference), but I'm really stumped on the interface files because you changed a lot in both the new Customise Appearance mod and in blgccagot and I'm not sure how to combine them together.
Usually when there is a modifier = { factor = 0 ... } block, include an exception like NOT = { is_variable_equal = { ... } }.
For each clothing/headgear property add a modifier like:
Code:
modifier = {
	factor = 100
	is_variable_equal = { which = ca_headgear value = 6 }
}

So I did try a lot of stuff including what you said with the modifier and exception, but I don't think I'm doing it right at all. I guess I'll just wait for someone else to make a patch for both. Thanks though!

@Nendur I posted a submod request on the Citadel, but I don't think anyone is going to make a patch because the post has been buried already. Do you think you could make an exception and create a version of CA for AGOT? I would really appreciate it. I hate to ask this of you, but you have a better understanding of what changes need to be made than I do.

Okay I waited for a week now, and you're obviously reading my posts here, considering you have been able to respond to people on Steam Workshop for CA... if you don't want to make one for AGOT, I would totally understand--why not just give a simple yes or no? You didn't respond to me when I asked about the YiTish portraits and now you are doing it again. I don't understand why.

I don't like just repeating the answers I gave before. I didn't want to make more Customizable Appearance versions due to time getting spread thin over multiple projects already.

You wouldn't be repeating, I thought you would maybe consider it again, so I told you what happened on the Citadel and hoped for a reply. I guess it's my fault for thinking you might change your mind.

The portrait properties have gotten through a large rewrite, so now it's time to get them extra playtesting. This is a release just for the base game without the submods, and not compatible with the previous submods.

Changelog:

Portrait properties fully rewritten:
- Modern code style.
- Repeated and variable parts moved to scripted triggers.
- Easier to change and maintain for different mods.
- More detail added.
Societies and other portrait overrides moved to scripted trigger use too.
Update some disease and wound graphics.
Moved furniture artifacts to separate layer to only show on indoor backgrounds.
Replacement for parrot to old-world parakeet.
Meso-American headgear finally updated with tiered wargear.

I haven't tried the new one yet, but you can try updating the dependency in blgccmythos.mod.
That seems to have helped, thank you! I thought it was odd that it wasn’t working since they haven’t changed much.

EDIT: This is somewhat related since it’s still about Mythos, but people playing with both BLG and Mythos should probably turn off New Character Variation and maybe Newborn Child Handling in the game rules. Some races (particularly dragons) will end up having a human ethnicity despite having the dragon trait. Not sure how this would play out among dragonborns and children of dragonborns (which can come out as dragons I think), or other half-breeds. Everything else works fine, though, from what I can tell.

Better Looking Garbs

Better Looking Garbs is a portrait overhaul mod combining portrait DLC and custom new material to add diversity in clothing and styles for many of the games cultures. The faces, clothing, hair and beard-styles of each source has been recombined to create new portraits.
These new portraits fill the holes still unserviced with cosmetic DLC and add gradations to the existing portrait sets.
In addition to the portraits there are updates to the army and councillor avatar models.
While based around the use of DLC assets these are not required, an installer will add dependent parts of the mod selectively.

Awesome, I'm glad you're still working on it, even with CK3 out.

Thanks, Nendur! That's a very nice update! I still play with an older BLG version and I think it's time to update.
Do you remember the compatibility files you very kindly provided, making the CPR's Great Helmets usable with BLG-HIP?
Could you please tell me if any changes are required? Since it was some time ago. The files you gave me are here.

Cheers!

The imprisoned files will still work. The portrait_sprites.gfx should be updated with the new version, with GFX_character_imprisoned changed to 21 frames.

I'll update the portrait_sprites.gfx to 21 frames then and see how it plays.
Thanks again!

Hi Nendur, a while back I posted about an issue with the coptic portraits being messed up. A few weeks back I finally got them fixed. I don't know why the heck this worked but what I did was Uninstall CK2 and then Reinstall it. I then rolled it back to the Iron Century update and booted up the game. I then rolled the game version forward to version 3.3.2 64-bit. When I did this the mod worked, no idea why or how this fixed the issue but it did. I must emphasize that it was the old beta not the current open beta that worked. I suspect that the final CK2 update left a bug in some legacy code of sorts and a clean rebuild and rollback seems to have fixed it.
