Looking forward to the next update, extremely curious about the Ghassanids!!
I'll only post a partial tree, only people shown in Prosopography of the Later Roman Empire and after them a handful of people including a few fictional ones to connect with Nikephoros I. In a distant future I intend to include this whole list of kings shown in wikipedia, but not right now and when I do add them at least the birth dates would probably not be historical as I am unable to find birth dates. This is one reason I haven't yet posted them. List of Ghassanids in PLRE is pretty straightforward and for many of them you have at least some vague idea on death dates but no birth dates. If I have time I may perhaps finish Apions in 1-2 days as the family tree is complete with main problem being also finding birth/death dates.

Take as much time as you want, no hurry!

How about I post it now :p

A partial family tree for Ghassanids starting with Gabala, the ruler at the end of 5th century and start of 6th century, 24th ruler in this list and ending with Jabalah ibn al-Ayham, the last ruler in the list. Not all the rulers are added and this is mostly based from the family tree of 5 generations from Prosopography of the Later Roman Empire. I may return to this to try to also include a few more of the rulers after I'm done with several but with so many sharing names, it is impossible to make connections between all. For example Gabala ibn al-Ayham is probably the son of al-Ayham ibn Gabala judging by his name and how closely they lived, but is al-Ayham the son of Gabala who died in 554, or perhaps another member of the family with the name Gabala, not enough information to know for certain.

Nikephoros Logothete is claimed to be a son of Gabala ibn-al-Ayham, who was under Muslim rule for a while during the reign of Caliph Omar, but he decided he would not be a Muslim so went in 630s to Byzantine Empire and settled in Khersana near Melitene with 30.000 followers and died there in 645.

Hopefully I'll also send the family tree of Apions in a few days. Before that I may post a list of what else I intend to send for Pax Romana's work(but again, these will be after many houses I'll use for my own work only), historical houses in the game from 11th century that I haven't yet touched.

A family tree for Apions, an important family from Egypt. They were connected through marriage to Justinian's and possibly Anastasius' families.

A member was married to Praeicta, daughter of Praeicta from the Justinian dynasty. The father of Praeicta(the daughter) was either Areobindus the first husband of Praeicta or her second husband, Ioannes from Anastasius' family. Judging by dates, first is perhaps more likely. I may add a few more people later on who are known members of the family but their connections to the main branch are not known but the main line is more or less completely added. Later on I'll also have to adjust some dates for the marriage with Praeicta. I don't know when I'd next post a family tree here but it will probably be some Rurikids.

Checking my files, it seems I've totally forgotten about adding Valentinian and Theodosian dynasties. I started working on them now and I'll probably add them in a couple of days at most, Theodosian family I've already almost completed, after finishing them I'll start on Valentinian dynasty. If I'm not too tired I may even finish them both tonight. After that I intend to add some Rurikids as I mentioned. These are Igor's nephews known through the treaty of 945 with Byzantine Empire, however I couldn't find anything on their parents.

Edit: Here they are

I'll probably send family members of Igor known through the Byzantine-Rus treaty of 945 tonight or tomorrow, along with a family for Dobyryna, maternal uncle of Vladimir the Great. Wife of Dobrynya's grandson Ostromir, Theophana, is also said to be a daughter of Vladimir the Great.
For the treaty:

For the list of names:

For Dobyryna and Ostromir:

Edit: Here they are. It involves some fictional characters due to parents of Igor's nephews not being named and the exact nature of relatedness of some members not being known.

With this I think all that I intended to add that are also related to Pax Romana's work is done. I will later post a list of 11th century families that exist in the game and I haven't yet touched. There could be a few small families (whether I made from scratch or existed in the game with missing members) or single individuals I finished but forgot to post, I would of course post them but apart from that I don't intend to work on new Byzantine families until I finish my own work and when I have more time so possibly at least for the next few months and unless they were really important, in the time period relevant to the game, I certainly don't intend to go searching for Byzantine families that don't exist in the game for the foreseeable future.

2. I couldn't find anything on the origins of Katakylas family besides the first Katakylas I could find being Michael II's nephew and with no mention of relation through marriage, I made him a brother's son. It would obviously be better to start them with an earlier person if there's even the slightest hint of connection.

Hi all, I have absolutely no relation to this game but I ended up on the forum by searching for Katakylas / Katakalon. I think I may help you on the family general history.
I am a descendant of the Caracciolo family from Naples. The family was created in the Xe century by Theodorus Caracziolus ; in my family we know that Theodorus came from the Katakalon family and that this family is heir of the Molossian Dynasty from Epirus. The Molossian Dynasty knew various famous names such as King Pyrrhus I, King Alexander I the Molossian, Princess Olympias (mother of Alexander the Great), King Admetos, King Alketas I, King Arrybas, King Neoptolemos I, and many more. Their name come from their first King Molossus, son of Neoptolemos, son of Achilles (himself), son of Peleus, son of Aeacus, son of Zeus. Making the Molossian Dynasty a part of the Aecidae Dynasty from the Mythical Age.

Hope this helps.
