I thought I'd do it by next weekend but instead of finishing the smaller families, I've focused on the family of Patriarch Xiphilinos. There are so many members and the Patriarch himself has many nephews with mention of only one brother, perhaps two, so I've added him two fictional brothers to distribute those nephews and also made member from 10th century his uncle to branch the family some more and distribute all those members from 11th century. There are a few more families I'm currently working on, hopefully all will be done before weekend and after that I'm taking a break from this at least until this semester ends. I'll still occasionaly spend some time to make some necessary corrections for the stuff I've already posted but won't be sending new families/members for a long while.

Family of unnamed Kekaumenos, the author of Strategikon. Apparently not even a single member of his family exist in the game. He may have been Katakalon Kekaumenos. His maternal grandfather was Demetrios Polemarchios and Polemarchios was not his surname, so perhaps he is Demetrios Katakalon I've posted earlier. I may add him a fictional daughter to make him his grandfather. Just a few more families left on my plate, additional members for Mousele being one.

Below is an addition to Mouseles I've posted previously, there are several fictional ones to connect to 11th century. There's also a Mouzalon family with a similar name, who originates around 11th century, perhaps it is yet another change in the family name, but since I couldn't find anything to connect them, didn't add them. Just a few families left. Remaining families I'll send are Botaneiates family, Basiliakes/Basiliakos family, perhaps a family related to Basiliakos through marriage, Baianos/Baganos family There are at least a dozen other families that I've taken note of to do research but haven't yet started and won't do for the time being, but there may be a couple or so that I've some progress on and may send. I'll probably be able to send Botaneiates and Basiliakes tomorrow or in a few hours if I don't sleep. Baianos I haven't started so don't know.

A small one.
Aponasar, Amir of Chliat, who is probably Abu Nasr, Nasr al-Dawla Ahmad ibn Marwan of the Marwanid dynasty of Diyarbakır (not to be confused with Marwanids of Marwanid emirate in 867 start date), who currently exists in game along with some of his family. It is said he had many sons though there's only one in game. I'll only post one additional son for the time being as I said I won't do any additional research for family members for the time being, even this information was additional research to find his identity.
Below is the member of a Byzantine official from the last third of 11th century whose family name is Aponasar. It can't be "Aponasar" above, as he died in 1061.
Of course it could be someone else with a similar name, however in 1057 Herve Phrangopoulos came to Ahlat but was betrayed by "Aponasar" and captured and sent to Constantinople so it is very possible after this interaction that a part of his family found service with the Byzantine Empire

I intend to finish it all tomorrow or next day at latest with the Diabatenos/Dabatenos, a family connected to Basiliakos/Basiliakes and Bakurianidze families, Basiliakos/Basiliakes family and Botaneiates family. A couple of Bulgarian families and perhaps 1-2 Byzantine families.

### APONASAR ###
# This could probably be one of the many sons or a grandson of Aponasar the Amir of Chliat(modern Ahlat),
# the Ebû Nasr Nasrüddevle Ahmed bin Mervan, from the Marwanid dynasty of Diyarbakır. "Aponasar" Amir of Ahlat aided the Byzantines
# by capturing Herve Phrangopoulos and his men and sending him to Constantinople.

A Bayan family tree. Some of these people are most likely not connected but because they all bear the same name in one of it's variations, and there are so few of them, I've added them all under a single family tree. Boioannes family, which has two known memvers, I've also added under it because it is thought to be related to Boian. I've started the family with Pagan because his name in the Byzantine sources is thought to be a possible misintrepetation of Bayan/Baianos.

### BAYAN ###
# Bayan, Baianos, Boian, Boioannes, Bagainos, grouped together because all except Boioannes are variants of eachother and Boioannes is also
# thought to be connected with the word Boian, because of this I've made all of them a single house and Because the name of
Pagan/Paganos is thought to be a possible misintrepetation of Bayan/Baianos I've made them his descendants.

Family of Theodotos, a Bulgarian who defected with his family to Byzantine Empire before 826. Added him some fictional children. I'll post Basiliakos and Diabatenos next and after that I'm done. Perhaps there could be 1-2 more families of Bulgarian, Georgian, Armenian origin I've missed that are near complete, if so I'll also post them but I've decided not to do Nikephoros Botaneiates' family because he is said to also be connected to Phokas family and can't spare time for researching that.

So I was going to post Basilakes and Boteniates families along with a family related to Basilakes through marriage, Diabatenos. I didn't feel up for it at the time and mostly checked for errors and corrected them and later didn't have time. A few days ago I had some time but put it into making missing members and families I didn't plan on adding. Can't remember all of them but two of the families I've previously not worked on and added missing members for were emperors Maurice and Phokas(the one from 7th century) and families I've added from scratch are the maternal family of Emperor Julian Constantine, family of Procopius whose mother is sister of Julian Constantine's mother and some families related to his descendants and didn't exist. I've also added a few members to families I've previously already worked on, mostly a few more Mamikonians based on the theory that Philippikos (emperor from early 8th century) was a descendant of a Mamikonian who married the daughter of Philippicus and Gordia (Sister of emperor Maurice).

I'm not posting them now because I haven't had the time to check for errors and while checking for errors in my previous work so far I've spotted a few people who were the child of a brother/sister instead of their parents, more than a dozen people being of the opposite gender, and more than 20 people with wrong birth/death dates. This is, I must note, among more than 1000 characters added/changed, so a small percentage but now that I'm not posting as frequently, I would still prefer to send them after checking for mistakes at least once and before I do that, I intend to do the 3 families I said I would. I think I'll have some time I can spare today so I intend to finish at least one of the three if I can.

Edit: Also, I may start Botaniates' family could be dating back to sixth century Phrygia.

And here it is, family of Nikephoros Boteniates, going to 6th century!

20231206150634_1.jpg

I won't add a screenshot of the entire family tree as all of it beyond the branch here is pretty linear since there are no known members from 6th century to 9th century So it's a line full of fictional people apart from Kroubeles Artemonus Boteniates who I've started the family with and is known by name through an inscription dating to 571.

The next known member is in 9th century, Andreas Botaneiates, Basilikos Spatharios and Anthypatos. I've added him a small fictional family for 867 start.

Then the family get a few members known only through name in 10th century: Michael, the great grandfather of Nikephoros who is thought to have married to a daughter of Emperor Nikephoros II Phokas. Son of Michael(and grandfather of Nikephoros III Botaneiates) said to be named Nikephoros, then his son the father of Nikephoros III who was named Michael who in the game was named Leon So I've renamed him.

I've branched the family with another member who would be from the same generation, Theophylaktos Nikephoros Doux of Thessalonike who died in 1015 and his son Michael. This Michael is considered possibly the father of Emperor Nikephoros, since his father is also named Michael, however the name of Emperor Nikephoros' grandfather is said to be Nikephoros so this can't be the case, hence the branching from Theophylactos. Leon the strategos of Dyrrachium from 1050 I've added as a son to this Michael and added two other members known by name and were active around 1066 start as sons to him.

Finally, I've added the first wife of emperor Nikephoros Botaneiates, Vevdene/Bebdene, who was alive when Nikephoros was proclaimed emperor, in january 1078, but died shortly after. I've added them a fictional son because Nikephoros III had a grandson who was betrothed in 1081 to daughter of Manuel Komnenos but because he wanted to make a distant relative his succesor during his emperorship, it is thought he had no children at the time so I've made him dead at 1066 start. I've also decided to add him a daughter as the possible parent of his grandson and made her alive in 1066 (but dead shortly after) so while not in the screenshot, she is in the file below.
I may perhaps add her a son as well because there are a few people that is said to be related to the emperor but their relation is not given so I may connect one such person through a marriage to her.

I will finish Basilakes and Diabatenos families when possible but I may also make Synadenos family before them because a member was married to Emperor Nikephoros Botaneiates' sister. I'll take a look at them today and if there isn't that many members to add, I may even finish them and post them today. After that when I'm available I'll finish Basilakes and Diabatenos and then check for errors the several families I recently made.

Edit: Made notes of all the Synadeni that I could find in PMBZ, DOAKS and PBW2016 and also found a member or two besides. Will make them into a family tree and perhaps may post them tonight.

Synadenos also complete. Half of the members I've found were already in the game and how the rest of them were related to eachother wasn't known so I could connect them to eachother as I wished, so it was pretty quick. I still have some time today so may take a look at Basiliakes and Diabatenos or take a look at my notes to see if I've some work done on some smaller families that I can quickly do.

Two more families, Basilakes and Diabatenos. These were the last two I intended to do until next semester. As I said I've also done work on some more families and also post them but I got to check them first, so can't say when that will happen but I'll probably post one tonight or tomorrow.

#It is theorised that Theophylaktos had a daughter named Melisenna or a son named Prokopius who was the father of an Anna, supposed wife of Leon Skleros
#In 811/812 an embassy was sent to arrange a marriage for Theophylaktos with a Karling princess but it didn't take place, so if he had children and didn't

Maternal family of Julian the Philosopher (from Constantinus dynasty), the family of his cousin (their mothers were sisters) Procopius, family of Anthemius, the maternal grandfather of emperor Anthemius the descendant of Procopius and a partial family for Magister Militum Ricimer who was married to emperor Anthemius' daughter Alypia. Ricimer's mother was Visigothic, said to be the daughter of Wallia the Visigothic king and his father was an unidentified Suevi, thought to be Heremigarius or a son of Hermeric. I've not added a father of him due to lack of the Suevis in game (or at least I couldn't find them) so I've made him a member of the Balthing. His sister was married to Gundobad king of the Burgundians, I've also added but haven't yet changed the children of Gundobad who were her children.

I think this concludes the families I've made a few days ago, will check to see if there are more. With Basilakes, Botaneiates and Diabatenos, also ended the families I said I intended to do for the time being. Of course if I have time I may post a few occasionally, I still have a few that are half complete and more than a few I've done the research for but haven't yet started working on but won't be doing anymore research until next semester(have a whole lot of family names that I've taken a note of but made no research on).

A small one, missing members for Palailogos family in 11th century. Most of these people I've already found out about long ago and there weren't many of them so I decided I should post this family as well, a small search in PBW2016 yielded 3 more members and a search at PMBZ yielded one. DOAKS has 20+ pages filled with Palailogos seals so I won't be digging through that anytime soon, I've already added 6 historical members known by name which is %150 the amount of members Paradox added for 1066 start. Including the 7th member, father of Nikephoros Palaiologos whose name wasn't given but I've deduced to be Georgius/Georgios judging by the name of both Nikephoros' son a member thought to be his nephew being Georgios. So if I had found just another member, I would've added near twice as many members as Paradox did! Included below is also addition of a family to Nikephoros' wife, or rather, connecting her to a family I've previously added.

I may also add a family tree for Saronites today. I'll check later on to see whether if it's something that I can do within an hour, if it seems that way I'll do it as well.

This ones been on my mind for a while but I keep forgetting it, family of Chrysocheir, the Paulician leader. It's pretty straightforward with just a handful of members. I'll take a look into it in an hour or so.

Edit: This literally took 5 minutes or so but I was kinda busy... Having said Kinda, I intend to do a partial (starting from where PLRE stemma starts) Ghassanid family tree and since a Kindaite princess was known to be married to one of the Ghassanids, I'll also do a partial (again stemma from the PLRE) Kinda family. I may also do a family tree for the Lakhmids, a rival of the Ghassanids because 11th century Abbadid dynasty which ruled Seville was of Lakhmid descent. But all of these at a future time. Kinda and Ghassanids in a couple of weeks to a month at least and Lakhmids after that, if I do them at all. I have started on the Apion family and occasionally do 1-2 members so may post them in a week or two.

A small update, Apion family is almost done and Ghassanids are more than halfway done. There are several other families I'm doing as well, for example I've near completed the family trees for two Gepid royal families but Ghassanids and Apion are the only ones that are relevant to Pax Romana's work(well there is also Saint Philaretus' family but Pax Romana was doing that as well). After these two and the Rurikids I'd have completed all the families I'd do that is also relevant to Pax Romana's work(well there could be some imperial families from earlier centuries, but anyone not yet done is low priority for me). There are a few 11th century families that exist in the game and lack members but they are few in number and I may not take a look at them until spring with there being many families I'll do that is relevant to my own work but not Pax Romana's.

I should also post a list of the families from 11th century that exist in the game but I've yet to touch.
