Are they still incompatible? Lately when I've tried running the game with both mods active, my game's crashed every single time. I've tried just about everything to fix it, but nothing's worked... if they're just incompatible right now, I'll feel pretty silly.
No, this issue was fixed weeks ago. However EPE is not compatible with 1.8.2 yet.

About your crashes, verify game files and eventually https://wiki.communityflavorpack.com/troubleshooting/force-reinstall

I could not leave these comments on Steam, so I will do so here. Your ongoing efforts to improve the immersion aspect of CK3 are very much appreciated.

In the past, I put in an extraordinary amount of labor creating (and editing and debugging) scenarios and campaigns for a certain WW2 simulation game that I liked. I did it for the community, free of charge.

At my low points when the frustration and the amount of time and effort were getting to me, I sometimes asked myself why I was doing this. But I always continued and the results were ultimately gratifying.

It's hard to describe why, but I think you know the answer to this question yourself even if you also find it difficult to put it into words. Yet I think you will agree that something that always helped was this simple word:

"Thanks."

I am glad to announce that Tours and Tournaments compatiblity patch is out!

This update is massive with +14000/-26000 changed lines in the code. For you players it should not only transition seamlessly but also look nicer. A few models are definitely gone because they are better in vanilla and many CFP assets have been locked to a fashion Eras and/or to a social rank.

In the end some CFP models will show up only before 1100, or between 1000 and 1150, it almost becomes case by case! By the way, vanilla armor eras have been set to more historical values.

eras.jpg

On the code perspective, the changes are massive. Long story short, CFP comes much more optimised and compatibility proof. The number of overwritten vanilla files is largely reduced and the way AI is assigned with clothing by CFP is fully independant from vanilla code. This means other modders should spend less efforts with their compatibility patches and also that I will have less work to deal with whenever a CK3 update drops.

To conclude, expect a few weeks of optimization and quality of life updates, feel free to report any weird behavior.
I am fairly confident in the stability of the patch, so I wish you all good knights an happy release evening.

Last but not least, CFP is now compatible with achievements!

Thank you for your quick update.

Your mod is the only mod i consider essential- to such an degree that i will not start a proper playthrough of a new release until it´s updated; Which thankfully happens so quickly most of the time!

Now, though, gotta have to wait for a hotfix from paradox.
