I am providing options for those that wish to do it manually - I try to give options :)

Just testing out Campaign after adding in the vehicles now. Still a few more layers to add to MDD.

That is very interesting with the shop files! I guess it makes sense I *think* you just need to add stuff to the MDD if you want it to show up in missions...

I'm releasing my mod tonight, too. It's 11:30pm but I am in it to win it at this point. ;)

Looking forward to checking it out!

Glad you like it.

1.03a should be uploaded tonight (sorry to make you reload it so soon:( )

The manual installs work fine - and I have seen variant 'Mechs and Vehicles on the OpFor side in the campaign, as well as items in shops. So, it appears to be working.

I need to retype the directions to refer to the new simpler file names and I want to test out the mod-loader programs a but more :p

I will be starting my new campaign tonight. I'm going to update my Mod Pack with the newer mods that I found, and incorporate your new ones as well. I know I don't want to start my campaign until your new update shows up, so hopefully it won't give you any more problems!

Can I buy you a cup of tea? :)

It LIIIIIIVVVVES!

I was just updating the info in the mod.json files of my mod and noticed that the new version has dropped on NexusMods. :)

As @don Zappo has already noticed ...

Version 1.03a is out

Most of what I was attempting to achieve happened - aside from getting the various versions to work with the ModManager. But, I didn't want to delay releasing this any longer due to my issues with adapting the mod to work with the BTML.

It has been running pretty stable for me, though I am only in the first portion of my new campaign.

Please let me know if anyone has any issues!

The skirmish check run was smooth, had a fun 4 v 4 JK Atlas battle, then I went to exit the game. Locked up and had to manual close it in Task Manager. Ran it again and it worked fine in all stages.

So went on to the campaign install.

Initial start up did not show load options for campaign, only continue. So, I continued and it was my first playthrough saves. Once it loaded that one up, I could ESC to the load menu and see my other play through saves. Everything loaded fine.

LOL - and then they release the 1.04 Beta ;) Doesn't look like it updates too much. MDD and VM look the same from my quick overview. My latest files still seem to work with them too.

Oh boy! We both drop our big mods and then they have the gall to update their own game? How inconsiderate of them!

TYVM for the mod buddy, REALLY enjoying it!.

I just wish we could get some of the hard point layouts from later in the timeline all ghetto rigged with 3025 tech!

Regarding 1.0.4: I just replaced the new Versionmanifest, and Metadatadatabase files with the ones from 1.0.3 that were packaged with the JK_Variants mod, and everything seems to be working fine in my campaign. That being said, I'm very careful to only mod campaign stuff, no combat sim stuff, so that I can PVP without issue.

@Justin Kase -- did I see you were thinking about changing the salvage to only require two partial mechs to create a whole, to mitigate the impact of the higher number of variants?

If so, I fully support that as a stopgap until when/if HBS changes salvage to be by the basic chassis instead of the variant, or otherwise compensates for their own added mechs and variants at some future point.

IMHO I'm fine with keeping it to 3 partial mech salvage.

Even without outstanding mods like this one, there will eventually be so many mechs and variants in the game that something will need to change... you'll be sitting on a storage bay full of dozens of 1/3 and 2/3, and nothing to show for it.
