And I'm the one who passed on that Gallo-Roman set to Woody Man!

Oh. You are already in the credits for your contributions on the new cultures thread hehe. :D Brilliant job on the cultures you made btw. I will credit you also in the changelog for the Gallo-Romans. Btw Ofaloaf weren't you making a Roman mod? Are you still working on it?

Sporadically, mostly just posting progress on 4chan's /vg/ until I'm happier with it. Already plenty of Late Roman mods here, decided not to clutter things up further, don't want to tread on Woody Man's toes more than I just did.

Ah, sad to hear that. There might be many historical Roman mods in development but not finished though, or close. :( Had I still had the enthusiasm for it I guess I could put together a Roman mod, but in truth if I ever got the enthusiasm necessary to start a new mod I'd probably go Diadokhoi instead... the main issue is I have zero enthusiasm for doing graphics atm, and all the graphics needed for that... meh I don't even want to think at the time involved.

I've been tapping into the Wikimedia Commons files related to the Notitia Dignitatum for period-appropriate flags. They're fairly easy to rework into 128x128 .tga files, and the designs are simple enough that doing recolors to cover other units is a fairly painless process. Plus, there's so little documentation that if you make up something entirely out of fiction, no-one can call you out on it as long as it looks okay.

Oooooh! Thank you for that link, those shields there can easily be converted to CK2 format, yes. :D I can use those for a variety of things including just plain replacing of some Christian heraldry from the map, not to mention legions heraldry.

I've added a de jure Empire of Gallia. I am now thinking of adding another Armenian culture in the Armenian area given I wanted to split that monumental blob there and I've just put another dejure kingdom in those parts. I might put an Aghbanian or Persarmenian culture in.

Shouldn't empire of brittania extend to brittany too?

@videonfan

Nah, it's part of Gallia here - although I will actually think about it, problem is Gallia has too few provinces from a gameplay perspective.

@zhangku

I am staying away from changing the duchy system for now because I'm waiting on Aasmul's map to be expanded enough (hopefully a month or so) and then I will port Lux to that map... and then I will look into duchies, if I do it now I get more porting headache.

-------------------

I will most likely put in at least a Persarmenian culture of some sort or the Brito-Sarmatians this update. I haven't decided which yet. I'm currently trying to see if I fixed some minor bugs. Also maybe Geats ;)

I've looked at the New Cultures thread, BloodMerchant made some good stuff there I might implement. For now I'm putting Aghbanian in.

I've revised the Brython names list somewhat. I am now implementing the buildings for Aghbanians, I'm thinking I maybe should put them in Iranian culture group because they're Persia's buddy-buddies, can't decide yet.

When is 0.4c coming if you on't mind me asking?

I've added a Vachaganid count in Derbent for the Arsacid Vachaganid fans out there (the inexistent ones hahaha), but I felt I should put at least one historical Aghbanian dynasty in.

I've renamed a lot of provinces in France given some names didn't make sense for Gallo-Romans or Goths.

When is 0.4c coming if you on't mind me asking?

Tonight before I go to bed or tomorrow, probably tonight.

I am thinking of making Wales a titular kingdom and Brythonia the dejure kingdom, or maybe have both as dejure.

I've put in some descendants of Syagrius and Posthumus... happy reforging of Gallia inc. ;)

Infidel!Everyone knows jorvik must rule all of your heretic Brittania and help it's norse comrades by raiding them and after that providing them with alot of money to fight the infidels!:p

@Bad_Haggis

It's going to be hard though, although Syagrius Jr. Jr. Jr. might have a shot.

@videonfan

You're probably confusing Gallia with Britannia. ;) But, I do agree... my love for Jorvik knows no bounds, I might even ninja boost them in the future. ;)

The Domain of Soissons shall RISE!

What religion are they BTW?

It's saddening seeing them fall so easily because of invasions
