The concept is good, but TOG has kind of made it... obsolete. Not to mention it rivals Ard Ri in terms of ridiculous obstacles to an otherwise-typical process of empire-building. I give riknap just as much <CISPA'd> when he does that :p

I'm having a bug with this. Whenever I start the game with the mod (and only THIS mod) enabled, the loading screen will start, but two seconds later the game will quit to the desktop.

I'm running this on mac osx btw. And yes, I did edit the .mod file.

Totally agree with Futuregary on this actually... the Norse mod, for its best part, has lived... maybe that's something SELINian ;) (when you go in religion files you see all these exceptions for Norse it gets annoying!!!)

The special references to Norse religions will likely stay the same, aside from events and actions being removed. The Norse religion group is still special, and has received a lot from TOG. That being said, there is no norse_group, only a norsegerman_group. Thus, the specification :)

@Azarias59

I'm not replying not out of laziness but lack of Mac experience.

We're trying

@ Cesar
You have no idea how helpful your images have become :) Many thanks.

You're welcome. I've been hoarding them since CK2 came out, but I couldn't put most of them to good use. Normally because, for some reason, I can't modify event pics. Photoshop keeps telling me that they're not the right size for a .dds, which makes no sense since they are that size already as .dds pics!.

I like the druid especially.

Hi Guys I am going to close this thread for a bit while we sort out some issues with Maker of the Mod, related to the distribution of DLC assets.
I am sure it will be back up shortly, my apologies for the interference.

This thread is now reopen for business.

Almost had a minor heart attack when I saw the thread was locked :eek:hmy: Glad to see it back so soon, keep up the awesome (and neverending) work oh servants of various shades of light!

Glad to see the mess is solved.

They are pretty good, I really like the Ormazd/Ahriman ones... I have to use those eventpics somewhere. Gamma! I summon thee, brainstorm me!

Also I lol'd at the fact the gay lovers event pic are excusivelly Loras Tyrell and Renly Baratheon in both pics.

I could not think of any other Medieval gay couple xD. I guess Edward II and his lover, the one that goes through the window, also would qualify... or Derek Jacobi as Richard II in the BBC series, but they don't have much quality compared to the GoT series when it comes to image treatment.

- when I mentioned the Zoroastrian mod, I thought only of the more superficial aspects like counselors' names and some of the events / decisions, maybe religious-specific traits. I don't remember now what exactly it has we could use, but in any case it should be only a "lite" version.

Not on topic exactly, but we should also use the Saoshyant mechanic for restoring/founding the great empires as different people... for example, the Zoroastrian Sassanids resoring Eranshahr would get the Saoshyant trait, while the Angra Mainyui Parthians would get "Harbringer of Angra Mainyu" or something like that (Gamma, make up some name in ancient Persian). Sol Invictus leader unfyng the entire extent of Rome would get the "Sol Invictus Incarnate" and so on... I need to think more on this idea.

This is why you are an asset, to say the least. That is a marvelous idea, perfect for emphasizing the kind of power a god-king is supposed to have! Don't forget Almaqah and Solomonic Christ as well.

What, you want random old Persian terms?
That's just lame, we should be using Parthian or (in the event we can't actually find such a term) Avestan
