This can't be fixed by us, since the interface doesn't supply the required scopes in most places. In this case, it always uses the player instead. Try switching to a different religion group ruler and see the text adjust accordingly.

Err...why should it use the player ???
Nothing to do with me.
I saw it in the nearby muslim arabian empire in counties with orthodox religion.

That's what my testing has shown. You weren't playing as a Christian?
In any case, was there a reformed pagan religion with Infidel Tax? The Jizya tooltip doesn't localise anything, instead always mentioning Muslims, as one would expect.

Thanks.
Tested it as well now afterwards.
I was first irritated, as i wouldn't have thought the devs be so...'confused' really....and thought of a misunderstanding.

So yeah i as the ruler of another realm changed religion and the description in the tooltip changed accordingly.
The description is indeed plain wrong that way, unless you are of same religion as the holding owner. *sigh*

If i may make a suggestion then.
Going by your last post i understand it can't be pointing to the holding owner.
So....the text could be changed to "Unbelievers in this province pay more taxes to their liege" or similar.

Simple, short, more or less correct without having a debate about the term "unbelievers" and independent of the ruling
religion of the county, holding owner and liege. At least better than the nonsense there is now.
What do you think ?

I'm using the Theology focus and don't seem to be getting any events nor the seclusion events.

I played for more than ten years now as an iconoclast byz emperor.
Not cynical nor any negative trait, but neither for instance temperate and i still should get seclusion events for piety.
The only thing that does happen is that i'm becoming friends with random priests in the realm, but that's it.
Anything known in that regard ?

2)
IF there is a list on the github of fixed issues since april, the version 1 beta 5 release, can you please tell me where it is ?
Don't want to bug you with issues already covered. Just asking, as i could imagine it to be the case here as well

3)
Another question, would you recommend to play my next campaign with the work-in-progress version from github instead ?

This looks like a great resource! I looked through GitHub and it looked like DLC content is supported. However, I couldn't tell if any DLCs are required to make use of this re-baselining mod. Are they?

I'm happy to answer that! DLCs are only required to make use of DLC-exclusive features. We locked them out in the same way as the vanilla files did. To my knowledge, there are no DLC-exclusive files included in the mod itself.

Currently modding a IMP-CK2 conversion and am giving bits and pieces to the converter team as I go to help them with flavour - can I use cleanslate files with appropriate credit?
Example: will be modding the horse lord raiding adventurer start event to be applicable to many more cultures/all tribals to make the map more overrun with barbarians, thought it'd be better to use Cleanslate file as a base rather than the vanilla.

Yes, feel free.

Would like to report a minor bug with Cleanslate (off the Steam workshop):

I got an error in the CK2 error.log file, about a missing file "1600 - Al-Qusair.txt" in history/provinces
In the zip file, the file was misnamed "1600 - al-Qusair.txt" with the small a, renaming the file fixed it.

- Fixed small issue with Chinese Imperial government
- Fixed some events sometimes firing for players
- Fixed some wrong localisation in two events
- Fixed missing event name in council screen
- Fixed invisible Smallpox trait
- Fixed players not being allowed to join target of crusades
- Fixed wrong opinion modifier applying on releasing characters from prison
- Fixed an opinion modifier about the birth of a bastard child being applied in the wrong direction
- Fixed a few negated values in religion head interactions scoring
- Fixed Bohemia checking for wrong title's lack of holder
- Fixed double laws appearing
- Fixed Nomad settlement pillaging not destroying holdings
- Fixed more internal title ID change oversights
- Fixed a few erroneous scripted war invocations
- Fixed characters spawning with wrong/restricted age (ranges)
- Fixed various wrong river crossings
- Fixed various minor issues

Vanilla fixes:
- Fixed more issues with theocracy conversions
- Fixed issues with Assassins murder plots not firing for plot backers
- Partial rework of pagan religion head title properties:
- Landless-property now set on reformation, if religion head is theocratic or autocephalous. Allows these titles to be destroyed and re-created if the religion is reformed with a secular head of the religion.
- '<Religion Head Title> is secular, can be destroyed and created' depends on the primary-property, but this cannot be dynamically changed, so it's disabled for all pagan religions, else both the secular and non-secular tooltip would be displayed with a non-secular head.
- Added dignity to all pagan religion head titles, to match those that already had it.
- Fixed end of feasts not clearing all flags
- Granting Vice Royalties now affects 'Gain Title'-ambition and Scrying
- Added 'is_healthy_for_travel_trigger'-scripted trigger
- No more CBs with 'always = no', invoked with 'unsafe_war', because that's just silly
- Lots of asserts in error.log cleaned up

- Plock - Kujawy
- Gostynin - Stezyca
- Kerzhenets - Nizhny Novgorod
- Nizhny Novgorod - Murom
- Bacs - Vukovar
- Traungau - Passau
- Regensburg - Eichstadt
- Kumara Mandala - Laksmanavati
- Simplified and mode more consistent various Roman Imperial government checks
- Separated between culturegfx and religiongfx, for purposes of holding pictures
- Fixed lots of stuff applying to non-controlled provinces
- Restrict Imperial Elective to Byzantine and Roman empires
- Various minor fixes, tooltip improvements

Added scripted triggers:
- is_healthy_for_travel_trigger

Is this compatible with HIP?

Considering CleanSlate changes effectively every vanilla script file I'd imagine it is very much incompatible with HIP (or any other major mod).

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but I seem to keep Swaying myself. I've taken a look at the files, but I'm not cleaver enough to figure out why it's happening. I'm only using Cleanslate and Better Looking Garbs. I've tried it without Better Looking Garbs too just in case of some weird interactions. It seems to happen no matter whom I try to Sway. lol

I can't seem to reproduce this issue. Did you start Swaying by using the usual button in the diplomacy screen?

Yes. I was also using the most current Steam Workshop version of Cleanslate and have since switched over to the Github version. The problem seems to have stopped, but I'm going to keep testing to make sure. Thank you for responding, though.

Is there a reason why the two versions i donwloaded (local here and sourcecode version on github) are different in size when unpacked,
apart from the 2 KB difference for the changelog ?

I'm refering to the game files folder alone by the way.
Just wondering why that appears to be the case and i can't find the answer myself.

PS: I see it had been the case before with the 6 and 5 versions.
So i assume i just miss something very logical and nothing being wrong with it, but i feel dumb now for not seeing why.

GitHub generates the source archives, and saves those text files with Unix line breaks, whereas the files I archive and upload use Windows line breaks. Unix line breaks are only one character, whereas Windows line breaks are two. Therefore, the source archive contains slightly smaller text files, which adds up over the several thousand files contained in CleanSlate. It likely doesn't matter which one you use, but I would recommend using the one I personally create and upload to both GitHub and the forums. Hopefully it's also bitwise identical to whatever mess the game uploads to the Steam Workshop.

Oh...interesting. *wowwowwow*
Would have never thought of that, admittedly.

Thanks :)

Not really a bug since it has no gameplay implications, but I've noticed that the comments in positions.txt and the province names in definition.csv don't fully match; see e.g. province 264 ("Toxandria" in positions.txt, "Breda" in definitions.csv). This makes merging a ton of position changes with CleanSlate's province id remapping more cumbersome than it has to be as it makes it necessary to reference the .csv file whenever the comment is nowhere to be found.

Given that the names in definition.csv have to match (the relevant part of) the names of the province history files (unless I'm mistaken), I'd say it's probably easier to update the positions.txt comments to match/contain the names from definition.csv than updating everything to match those comments.
