So I did my part as translator, just one question: I translated the name Charlemagne to Carolus Magnus, do you think it's a good idea ?

EDIT: if you are happy with my translations I could do REGNI BOHEMIAE POLONIAE HUNGARIAEQUE (BOHEMIA ; POLAND ; HUNGARIA) too.

@Eternal Phobia :

Wow, so aggressive!
I think we need to clarify one thing, I did at first the mod (and what you see here is after 4 patches, including one dedicated to the Byzantine empire) with my classes, my knowledge, my books, and the help of my friends who work in historical reschearh on Middle Ages. Therefore, I initially had a lot of items and information about France, Spain, Slavic world and the Empire. That is why it's missing a little on English and Scandinavian side. When I started the patch on the Byzantines, even though I had read a book by Alain Ducellier (a French specialist of the Byzantine world), I found that my knowledge was not sufficient, so I borrowed three books, including two on ideology and the Byzantine state (Helene Ahrweiler), the last being the monumental work of Georges Ostrogorsky, which was very useful to me.

Thus what then? I should work on the Islamic world knowing that my only knowledge of Arab world is the read of a memory of a friend on the Nabataean army ? Yes, as stated by Loup, the next patch will focus on the Muslim world. But I need to read, assimilate, understand, which takes time. I've also started some elements, such as the names of the "empires" and "kingdoms" are now on Arabic / Persian, and the Padishahlari-i-Rumeli script (for Turks) after I read articles on Persée, the French database of historic articles.

@ApolloX : All right !
I send you the work, thanks !

@Yvanoff : Thanks ! I thinks yes, it's a good idea, and i send you the next part soon.

Oh, the irony

Epic greentext bro. It's like I'm really on /v/! I do not see your point however.

Just so this doesn't devolve into people throwing ad hominems at each other, could we please reroute the discussion to the mod?

wow,this seems like quite an interesting mod.

What stops me from playing it is the french language(of course) and the question : "Does the Ai know how to use these decisions? " I mean are they just player only,or will you teach the Ai to use them as well ?

@AndreiTLC : Yes, the AI know how to use, and use it. I'll show the screens that a player has sent me, amazed at his party, the IA Castille claimed (thanks to the script) and obtained after a war against the king of the Romans, the imperial crown :

In my Russian party, the ia byzantine emperor send me a "porphyrogénète" (i don't know the english word, it's the word for " Born in the purple") princess for open the varanguian road.

very interesting indeed.Do you plan to include this into a bigger mod ?aka hip, or ck + ?

So, Farathorn, what's actually in-store for those who want to play as the imperium Romaniae?

Amazing Work! This is the DLC that paradox should have done many months now! Really at last someone who knows history and has the skills to make it come true...great ideas...you ve really almost everything that is missing but please translate it to english..

and will there be anything more on Regnum Siciliarium besides that permanent casus belli against the Eastern Roman Empire?

@AndreiTLC :
Thanks !
No, no plans for that. But if the developers or others want to take a few elements of my mod, they can, it's free. In addition, I think there would be contradictions between some of my mechanisms (such as the two Roman empires in the Christian world and nothing else, but hey, I can not help it, it's like that in medieval thought)

@JohnKR :
Thank you ! Yes, i have a historian formation, but i'm moar on classic history (My main research is about the relationship between Epicureans and the political ideas of the Roman Republic, for those interested), but it's help a lot for reading good book. For modding, I admit that it was difficult at first, but it's coming slowly !
The translation is on the way, don't worry. I think even make soon a small preview in English :D

@Byzan : Nope. I confess I have not read much on Sicily, except that said my books on Byzantium, this is why there are a permanent casus belli who transcribe the heavy threat that were Normans, and Charles of Anjou, then Aragonese (Ferran de Mallorca).

Farathorn, please correct if I am wrong. The reason why the Pope had the power to recognize the emperor was because an old forged document that gave to the Pope the WRE. In that sense he never gives the title of emperor in fully to the HRE, he just make him temporal emperor. But upon vassalization he could theorically, right? If yes will this be reflected somehow on your mod?

@Joel :
Sorry, I do not quite understand your question is about the theme system?

@oritemis :

Very good question. In fact, it is true that the Donation of Constantine (which is false) somewhat played in the imperial coronation west, and also very strangely to the Byzantines where the patriarch (Photios I think) used to be for influence the coronations of the Eastern emperors. But the question is beyond these simple facts, it is first a copy of the coronation of the Byzantine emperor by the patriarch, but behind there is the theme of legitimation of power by God. And the spiritual representative of God on earth is the Pope. Prevails between the temporal and the spiritual is another question.
But I intend to devote an update on the Papacy, with several elements that i already thought, such as Dictatus Papae and bubble Unam Sanctam, better Quarrel of Investiture, nominal vasslity of catholic kingdom (as Aragon or Sicily historically, or the England of John the landless) possibility for the King of France to bring the Pope in Avignon ect.
In fact, my goal for this update is clearly to encourage the christian player (and other religions) has to be very careful with the Pope as ambitious Popes may try to assume the temporal direction of Christianity (it's the deeper meaning of Dictatus papae), and they succeed (but I'll make this difficult), an Uber Pope will reign on the Christian world !
In fact that's my plan for all the next updates:

- First, the "Dar-Al-Islam" update, which will take me a long time
- then update "orthodox margins" (Ethiopia, Georgia, Armenia, Alania)
- then update "Dictatus Papae"
- then update Rajas of India.

And what type of CB will it be? Allow swathes of the Empire to fall, or just conquest CB? Because it would be interesting to see Charles' ambition to be actually implemented. Where he married his daughter to the former Latin Emperor's son and would attempt to resurrect the Latin-Empire. Or just go on and make the Mediterranean Empire on his own account and force the Union of the Churches - which is partly why the Pope supported him. Other reason is because the Pope only became Pope out of Charles financial support.
