Am I wrong to suggest If this gets damaged and cannot be used (per item description) once removed, it should not appear as salvage in the first place and only be discovered within a salvaged mech

@Mr.T tell that JK(Justin Kase) because that's part of his pack, i don't know what his idea was :p
I do not know who that person is or where to find it, but this is integrated in RT, so I am guessing it is much easier for the RT team to get in touch with that guy to solve the mistery...i have been awarded 2 others of that component in the random salvage selection and they stay there taunting me because they are broken ;):D:p
I have no idea which bot they came on...i thought it was the elite highlander which i managed to salvage all 5 parts, but that has the slic suite.
Might have been on the gauszilla atlas elite mech because it was in the same game with my last random salvage of this component

They are on neither of these mechs

And i do intent on keeping the Command Console something you need to be lucky to get it intact on a chassis and not as salvage you can slap on everything
 
Yes, that was my suggestion, it should not be as a salvage component as it is useless anyway, just with the mech if you salvage it with the head intact.

Also per my idea in the past, of rare/legendary spec items, this one could be a legendary type and if you could change the color of the name it would be a nice effect to differentiate them.
Also, other weapons/equipment of similar bonus offering level, should be locked with a mech just like this one.

In this conext @Morphyum the difficulty menu tells them its "Contracts and deployments"

Thank you. Increasing # of contracts, variance and decreasing deployments allowed us to gain more local contracts as we wind our way through drac space.

I was wondering if there was a way in character creation of removing the Aurigan option. There's pirate, gladiator, merchant guard, etc. Sure we could be trained by Mastiff, but what if we decided to be a soldier for someone else instead? Just wondering.

I'm currently playing it stock, and there are alot of "advanced" mechs that pop up on missions (I.e. DHS mechs, SL era griffins and so forth).

Also what is up with the SLDF 35ton commando variant? I'm curious since I've never heard of it.

Note: This mod is done for sheer fun on LadyAlekto's part; any lore adherence is strictly secondary to gameplay.

So, at the risk of gaining her wrath by pre-empting her... she's not gonna bother removing those non 3025-3031 elements.

It's a package deal; either learn to deal with those aspects, or learn modding yourself and remove them as desired.

Tis what I did, since several recent gameplay changes I was NOT cool with; at the expense of having to do my own tech support.

As in, I only report bugs from the non-modified RT portions of my mod setup, and don't ask questions unless I'm truly stumped.
 
This is why almost all the modding that's set up in my install of Battletech is done by me, and not a download of a pre-package -- the only things I'm running packaged from others are the Crab "mini-me" so kindly provided here, and SolahmaJoe's lovely addition of two particular mechs.
 
Oh I get that its her mod. But, at the same time, if thats something that she would be willing to do, it would be cool by me and probably others. I was using several mods to do the 3025 era thing but this is way easier if someone else does the work.

I don't have an issue with the 3031 setting specifically, actually its one of my favorite time periods to play in but so is the pre 3025 era. But it would be nice to be able to tweak the amount of "new" tech vs old tech (a slider would be really great).
 
I think it would break the balance of the Roguetech game experience and not if it can be implemented easy.
Many units would disappear ( a lot of rac, uac, gauss carrying ones are present) , so you would need to script somehow a list of items not to be present and the units as well.
Some of the new components would disappear (lostech) while others would still remain (chainsaws, cargo grips, etc...)
 
modtek creates a database of all items that dont have "AddToDB": false in the manifest for mod.json. Anything in the database can be salvaged, also cmd console is not Blacklisted under item tags so opfor can use it too. I for one like that it can be looted, its a challenge to take them intact so that I can use them wherever I want them.
 
Couple of rogutech gamplay questions.

Why do Gauss rifles suck accuracy wise? I've got a L7 gunner, a Gaus ++ on a centurion and the vast majority of the time he has 30-40% hit chance on targets with some evasion. His PPC armed Lancemates usually do better. Am I imagining this, or are they nerfed for balance?

Recoil on RAC? Does each shot give you an accuracy minus? Or is it just per burst?

Anyone have any background on the Erinya Commando variant? Is this in the lore anywhere? Can't find it on sarna.

Literally the game is crashing every time, no roguetech, clean simple Battletech isn't working anymore.
It enters the main menu but when trying to do anything, the loading circle spins around like crazy, not loading anything.
Some troubleshooting help needed.

Sounds like a bad install or uninstall. Working perfectly for me. Make sure and delete entire mods folder (including .modtek directory), and reinject BTML after installing RT as well.

Sounds like a bad install or uninstall. Working perfectly for me. Make sure and delete entire mods folder (including .modtek directory), and reinject BTML after installing RT as well.

Also don't forget to get rid of saves. Yeah. You'll need a full unusual/reinstall. After install see if clean vanilla battletech works. If yes, then try rogue tech. If no, then it might be BT.
