Are we going to see the Kobyi Ashsi Maru? I am sure I spelt it wrong. So either a ship, or an anomaly?

Not to my knowledge, no. I think the Mirror Universe Dominion doesn't have the xenophobe ethic, if that's what you're after.

Darn, it'd be cool if there was a small chance for an event or something to fire for them to switch to Xenophile (perhaps a changeling returning after you launch the 100 or something)

Also, it's interesting the Mirror Universe Dominion doesn't have that ethic- from my understanding of the beta canon, the Dominion is even WORSE than it is in the prime universe.

"In the mirror universe, the Dominion was much more tolerant and fair than its counterpart in the primary universe.

For example, in this universe when the Founders put the primary Julian Bashir on trial for killing the mirror Odo many years before, the trial was completely fair and just. This came as a shock to Bashir, who had expected to be executed no matter what. The mirror Female Changeling had a conversation with Bashir after the trial, and revealed that in the Dominion all trials are fair and just, with no one, not even a Founder, above the law in the Dominion."

The above is the direction we've taken with them, from Mem Beta.

Oh... well I didn't know there was a novel that did that. The only one I was aware of was this version.

Through a Glass Darkly

In another permuation of the mirror universe, the Dominion is even more savage and ruthless than its counterpart in the primary universe.

For example, Founders of the mirror universe never tolerated the defiance of the Teplan people by merely inflicting them with the "blight". (DS9 episode: "The Quickening")

Instead, they ordered the entire mass extermination of the planet's population by using a different biogenic weapon. Within two weeks, the inhabitants had perished to the last man, and the planet was cracked open to be mined of all its mineral wealth, leaving behind a completely dead world. Such a brutal act was intended to be a reminder to all who opposed the will of the Dominion.

Even the servants of the Founders differ in the mirror universe. The Jem'Hadar are larger, stronger, and even more suicidally devoted to their masters. As for the Vorta, they are far more vicious, and possess more advanced telekinetic abilities to use in their role as either diplomats or assassins.

The mirror Dominion is even more aggressive and expansionist than its primary universe counterpart. (Decipher RPG module: Through a Glass, Darkly)

That version of the MU Dominion as just the same but more evil was a bit lazy in my opinion, which is why we went for the "Lawful Neutral" version.

Josun - I only have one open bug for Mirror Universe in our log, and that's to make the war with the Klingon Cardassian Alliance use a different war goal.

*nods* I was curious. Started up a game as mirror dominion (well, had to start it a second time- had a start with hostile space fauna in one of my owned systems) and so far am enjoying it, even liked the change to that text box thing you get at the start. Loved how the Kareema and the Dosi are both spiritualist so still end up hating the Dominion :p

I’m watching a let’s play of Federation on YouTube, and the xindi ended up blowing up earth, causing the humans to go to earth rememnant faction and xenophobic. So he wasn’t able to form Federation. When he finally had enough influence etc to
Embrace xenophile faction, it still did not give an option to form Federation, is this a known quirk?

Minor bug report:

I'm playing in the mirror verse Alpha/Beta map as Terran Empire. And had a random Rebellion at P'Jem. They call themselves the "Terran Confederacy". Once I landed my troops it didn't do the battle as it should. Instead my troops were added towards the defender pool. While they still belong to me (I can disembark the Planet) I can't retake the planet and therefore can't reintegrate them into my Empire. That being said the same goes for the war exhaustion system. Since they can't produce ships I can't get beyond 20% war exhaustion and can't force their surrender.

Hope we will some day get mirror fed ship variations perhaps even with some custom models so they differ from Prime verse and make the effort worthwhile for actually doing and considering something like that in the first place.

Minor bug-

Had a primitive civilization get risen up by the Karemma in my Mirror Dominion run. However, their race portrait (one of the vanilla game humanoids) does not show up in the diplomacy screen. Instead it seems to use the race portrait of whoever else I last interacted with (which was really weird when one of those was a Cravic robot)

Post a savegame? We can't do anything on description alone in this case.

I'll add to our bug tracker.

Not sure what you mean / expect from "make the effort worthwhile"? There are *some* TNG era MU designs in place, but it's an ongoing task to get the rest given decals. We don't really have space to do this at the moment given the 2gb limit on the mod.

How do I do that? I'd like to note- as far as I can tell, all my stellaris saves are on the cloud thingy, I've never been able to out of game manually delete saves from the save folder.

Could you make additional sub mods that are able to handle extras like that?

Well by that I meant that it's not really a vital feature. It would basically serve only as eye candy. Being a modder myself eye candy might not be reason enough for a mod project of this scale to justify something like that. I suppose custom ship classes (Thankfully Starfleet has many 100 to choose from) would then at least partially make up for the time and effort of your texture and model artists.

But if you say there are already future plans to simply add the mirror decals onto present models that's of course even better and thankfully less time consuming. I wasn't aware that Stellaris allowed sub-models aka different UV sets on it's models. All the better. :p I still pray for the return of the Legacy Cruiser ship. That for sure would make a fine addition to the Archer Mirror Universe.

And ya @JosunUrashima: They can and already did:
ST: New Horizons Content Submod not to mention the music mod, the UI sub-mods.
I suppose in the future we will have to download several more of these packages. Silly 2gb limitation by steam.

One must wonder how they keep track of everything in their numerous packs, kinda impressive don't you think?

Ps: Speaking about the Mirror Universe. I re-uploaded my Terran Music pack. It now contains the Discovery Mirror Universe theme song. Just re-subscribe.

any plans to introduce battle debris, possibly for only the major races, feds, klings, roms, cardys, borg....... its one of the small things that really made Sins a visually pleasing fleet combat game

i know this could be taxing , but you could have the debris disappear after a short time.

would really add to immersion to say have warp nacelles, and damaged hulls float around after an engagement,
