ok. it should be a bit more difficult to find than for France where most of the 36000 cities/villages have one !

Well, no one ever said that France lacked style:cool:

just to highlight that finding stuff for Bosnia region might be a bit more difficult. France is the easy way, even if sometimes I don't find what I search.

I think you speak about it (missed this post)

In such cases I use historical capital/main city coa, or I take the coolest Coa I can find in the area !

I agree, if nothing else would be available, but if historic coat of arms of duchies* and counties* are available, I prefer those. Although that too is probably easier for Western Europe in general than Bosnia. For instance using the coat of arms of Brussels, Leuven/Louvain, Antwerp or 's-Hertogenbosch/Bois-le-Duc or even one of the other towns with the title of capital of Brabant, as a coat of arms of Brabant, IMHO wouldn't be ideal.

(*= a large number of these are ultimately derived from (former) ruling dynasties)

Good stuff. When I get back from work I will comment that post about baronies and add my suggestions. Speaking of that, does that include temple and cities or just castles?

Provinces look very good. Maybe just province of Senj is stickint too much into Donji Kraji and Zavrsje, but thats really nothing too important...

About Podrinje... Podrinje means like: Along river Drina... so there should be a river Drina? Thats today border between Serbia and Bosnia.

You misspelled the Zavrsje. You put up Zavrjse.

I am still researching about COA's of towns and such... at least we will see the local rulers of provinces, there is famous Fojnica Armorial, every noble family is described and where they ruled. I will translate relevant ones to you as soon as possible.

Best regards.

its preferable to have a mix of every kind of settlement, if you look at the previous page I have the list of barronies I currently have found(please say if some should be scrapped/switched in favour of others) but as you can see I still haven't found enough for some provinces.

I still haven't found out what to do with Croatia(besides giving it Bihac to compensate for Zahumlje)
therefore Im a bit hesitaint to take more of its territory...

Take a look at the province map again, it is there(with Lim and the other small siderivers)

Thanks, hadn't spotted it.

Would appriciate it, im a bit stuck with COA's. I have given Donji Kraji the arms of Hrvantinci, but I have not found one for Zavrsje(so currently its the plate of Ban Kulin, looks nice actually, but a proper one would be better....)

just a word about the lake you added. You might add a sea province to materialize a nice border around it like other vanilla lakes.

Im a bit afraid to use to many provinces:unsure:, but maybe if I combined the finish lakes into one it would leave a few open. Anyway I think I will wait, untill I have redecorated the rest of Hungary(ardipadian age mod, Mercator and my little corrections dosen't mix to well...)

The Balkans is starting to come together, so here is a little teaser of how it will look

I still have a little bit of province border refineing to do but it will end up looking close to this(If I don't get told that I have messed it up that is:unsure:)

Looking at the map, there could be a few places with impassable (for armies) mountain ranges to simulate the Dinaric Alps - in particular, in the south-east and around the area of Zavrsje.

Thats a very good idea, but it will mostly have aesthic effect since the provinces all have a bit of common border where they have low to moderate height.
Will check how it looks.

I've done research for the list of baronies in the Bosnian provinces and Hercegovina or Zachumlie (Hum/Zahumlje) provinces and here they are:

I'm going to do tommorow Travunija (or Travunia) and Polimlje provinces, I need better research for the Travunija province.

As for the Lim province you should change it to Polimlje, because in all historical books that region is called Polimlje which means 'around the river Lim' or the 'Lim region'. Lim is just the river and trust me on all maps and in historical books there is always name Polimlje.

You mispelled Zavrjse which should be Zavrsje.

As for Podrinje, its border shouldn't be next to Syrmia, because Usora comes between Podrinje and Syrmia.

Also Split province is on the wrong position. Zadar, Sibenik and Split are very close to each other so you should push them more together and were Zadar is now (looking at the map you showed us today) there should Sibenik and Split, but if you can't include them all three, lose one of them and put it as barony. I'll try to help with that by drawing on the map you upload it.

will do

has been fixed

As for Podrinje, its border shouldn't be next to Syrmia, because Usora comes between Podrinje and Syrmia.

Thought that it was Soli that should have been there? anyway will fix it.

Also Split province is on the wrong position. Better wait with spending time with that, I still have to deal with Croatia, Dalamatia and Slavonia propperly(the current is accepable but I doubt that it is as ought a be...). Dalamatia should have at least 3 provinces, so if one of them goes I will have to find a new one(might be the best option) when I made Sibenink origianly I merely cut Zadar off in two peices so that each roughly(again the CK2 projection is not very precise) landed in its own province.
When I have added the barronies I will look into Croatia again and see if can deduct what should be the propper provinces(hopefully I will have more luck this time, last was a dead end)

EDIT: I only noticed now that El-Fatih did similar work... oh my. I am exhausted, editing post was opet for at least 3 hours... I didn't bothered to refresh the topic...

And yes, they are sorted by their importance, somewhat... so filter what you need.

Any conclusion on what I should do with those COA?

I also have to make those barronies, what should be the barronies and capitols?

Ok, this is my suggestion, and is based on main map we have regarding medieval Bosnia. And some researching and re-learning some stuff...

With Raška I can't help you now... maybe when I get some map and do research.

Bolded stuff are capitols, or at least important forts at that time. I also took time to see what were cities and where famous temples were located... if you can use it in that way.

About COA's we can only use the families... there is sources for that, but it's all in bosnian language... I will need to get down on those. When I have some results, will report...
