I guess that it was because the cartographer is "Learning" or "health" based (some of my many attempts at fixing Lewa's issue). It is now back to being based on nothing at all, I saw the Court Chaplain turn into a patriarch when I appointed the Holy Man there as you did. But my wife (Bertha, like you) is now still Cartographer.

Now that I gave up on actually fixing whatever cause Lewa's issue, I'll keep the cartographer set to "nothing at all". That will fix your problem and my new event that force councilors will fix Lewa's issue. Bonus point, for some reason, a cartographer with no job assigned will do one of your councilor job regardless of that job trigger... This fix that issue too.

I am testing the councilor appointment event at the moment.
 
Was nobody else seeing the missing council members that I keep seeing? What if it's something wrong with my install of the game that just doesn't show up unless I also have this mod active?

Oh, also, a minor language thing I keep seeing and forgetting to report to you: You have advice pluralized sometimes, but it's a mass noun in English that never uses an s (like water). I recall seeing it with the Orders of Chivalry mission to help in a war.

The verb advise works like you wrote there, but for the noun, you only give advice, not advices.
 
For the Sufi Schools, the trait Content is treated as a positive trait (it ads to devotion gain and is given by events from the society), but it's also one of the traits that can contribute to decadence. I wasn't aware of the decadence thing until it just happened in my game, so maybe you didn't know either.
 
The Great Trade League # Latest Patch Notes
On the muslim side, I assume content mean sitting on your ass going nothing productive.
Sufist are tranquil people on a religious quest, content suit them in my book and it is also a devotion gain for the indian monastic orders. I'll take a look at the decadence code later, but there won't be any simple solution lol. It will be to either ignore it (the sufi societies do remove decadence over time) or remove the content trait from the society.

Being quite lazy myself these days, I haven't updated the Great Trade League on the forum yet. I should get to that. The steam version is updated with what I hope will fix these councilors issues.

There's an event when you have a resource province where you can spend prestige and you're told that there's a 50% chance of earning money (or the resource if you're in the Great Trade League). I've spent prestige with that option at least a dozen times and never had it be successful. I can't say for sure that my results are anything but bad luck, but I'm suspicious that something may be scripted incorrectly there. If you have time, could you check it out?

I am sort-of taking a break of modding a the moment (I'm the kind to go all out or nothing), so I ain't adding new content, but I'll fix issues as they are reported.
 
Mostly my rulers were not in the League themselves. I haven't played enough members of the League recently to have an idea whether the same thing happens in that case.
 
The bounty hunters often end the devil spawn event early, since they go after the witches from it and there's no way to stop it. Would it be possible to prevent this somehow by e.g excluding them from bounties so this event chain works as normal?

The Orders of Chivalry is also flooding my error.log. I don't know if these errors are harmless or not, but there's thousands of them.

After setting it to 100% chance, it triggered. So I guess it was only bad bad luck... I will raise the odds and lowered the prestige cost a bit. Should feel better.

Yo, I just downloaded these mods (to my shame I didn't play them earlier) and I absolutely love them! :D

I've got a list of minor bugs though...
  • The opening event for the Great Trade League has too much text. I cannot see the last line.
  • Any event image with the coins is undraggable. I cannot drag it around the screen. The same is true for the event picture with the trees. Is it already on your radar, because I think I know the fix, if you want it :) (adding some lines to the gfx file)
  • The councillor colours stay put when scrolling down the list of councillors, and the scrollbar is slightly misplaced. I swear I saw a mod once that fixed it, but now I cannot find it :(

Well, you should be able to drag the visible window. On this event, I cannot drag anything within the green border. Which, in many cases including this one, composes the majority of the event window. So that's a bug, right?

What tree picture?
guilds_holo_event.dds I thought it was a forest, but upon closer inspection it seems to be a field of wheat of sorts. In any case, it is without a hitbox. And I have seen the bug before when I was making an event of my own, and I know how to fix it. That same fix may also work for the economy border issue I just mentioned.

And that's a valid policy, but I do not use a zillion mods myself, and I dislike annoying bugs like this one :) Are there any other such bugs that are caused by that policy? Additionally, are you okay if I (or you) upload the fix as a sub-mod, that people can install over the main one - knowing that it would make it less compatible with some other mods, but would render GTL more bug-free?

The vanilla files seem to have a "allwaystransparent = yes" line that mine don't. I assume that this is the fix you mentioned?

But again, the event picture you mentioned do have a "allwaystransparent = yes" tag on my end, like other event pictures I've checked just now. So perhaps it ain't that?

Before taking the ck2 break I am currently on, I was working on a "deeper" stand alone councilor mod that would contain the fixes (supplied by Arko). But that mod is on hold like everything else lol. I guess you could made one, but I could kick myself a bit and release that councilor mod.

About other bugs? I try to work around them by creating my own modifiers and scripted trigger/effect copied from paradox and change those instead (some traits, my wounds modifiers...). The biggest pain was an event triggered every time a mission is removed (failed or by success) that add positive society influence. No way to remove that on_action trigger or event without overwriting a file. At first I simply added my own event to that trigger to add a negative influence mod whenever it triggered, but that would cause issues in mods who DO remove that event as I would be "balancing" nothing and crash the societies influences (Even paradox do not use influence anymore, but the event is still there and still trigger)! I've ended up merging a negative influence mod into the vanilla +influence scripted_effect that trigger for my society only. That fix my problem and if that event do not exist, it doesn't matter.

The only real issue left I can think about is when you are kicked out of a society or promoted to leader, those generate letter events. I cannot stop that either without overwriting the general society event file, so my own events are triggered at the same time and you have 2 simultaneous event when those happen.
 
After the latest update the trade master minor title disappeared from the minor titles menu of my ongoing game, my trade master still has his job and I can interact with him normally, but I can't assign the position to anyone else if I revoke it. Also if I die (using the console) the position re-appears in the minor titles menu title of the next character. Any possible way to fix this?

Nope, the character is not a member of the Great Trade League, he was the leader of Auirus' Imperial Court Society. I thought that there might be some compatibility issue and I've left that society but it didn't solve the problem.

EDIT: I think that I've antagonised the society recently, might it be related to this issue?

There it is. Antagonizing the society will make them refuse to deal with you or people working for you. I'll make that tooltip clearer and properly fire the Trade Master when that happen whenever I'll update the mod. Thanks for the report. What action have you done to antagonise it, for curiosity sake?
