Just wondering if anyone has an idea offhand how difficult/possible it would be to add a casus belli to defend/aid the attack of members of your dynasty who rule outside of your kingdom. They can ask me for help but often they are too... stupid, for lack of a better word, to do so.

Where are the modifiers for council jobs? The rate at which marshals increase levy recruitment is way too high (85%), I would like to reduce it.

They are in common/job_actions.

I'm trying to make the empires less stable and one way to accomplish this would be to lower the opinion bonuses from having a huge ammount of prestige. Is there a way to change the influence of prestige/piety on opinion other than lowering the prestige-gain?

Thanks. I've already spotted this bit of script in job_actions (from the BGA mod):

action_train_troops = {
attribute = martial

trigger = {
any_province_lord = {
character = FROM
}
}

levy_size = 0.025
levy_reinforce_rate = 0.025

events = { 941 942 }
}

Which I assume means that both levy size and levy reinforcement are increased by 2.5%, right? However, in game levy reinforce is increased by 85% and size by 45%. Are the increased percentages the result of the "reinforcements arrive" event? Is so, where is this location of "EVTTOOLTIP20410" from this bit script:

option = {
name = "EVTOPTA941"
liege = { letter_event = { id = 20410 days = 7 tooltip = "EVTTOOLTIP20410" } }
}
}

Having problems with event...

When I try it in the console ("event 1000090000") I don't get any options - just the description text. I'm guessing that means nothings wrong with the coding in the trigger?

I want the event to trigger for a Christian duke or king in England when there is an independent ruler in Scandinavia that is not Christian. About the culture and religion tags, I'm using the Terra Normannorum-mod.

Help!?!

Code:
character_event = { # English Missionary To Scandinavia
	id = 1000090000
	desc = "EVTDESC1000090000"
	picture = GFX_evt_emissary

	prisoner = no
	only_rulers = yes
	capable_only = yes

	trigger = {
		religion = catholic
		primary_title = { higher_tier_than = COUNT }
		NOT = {
			random_realm_lord = {
				has_character_flag = english_missionary_sent
			}
		}
		any_demesne_province = {
			OR = {
				culture = anglonorse
				culture = saxon
				culture = english
			}
		}
		any_independent_ruler = {
			primary_title = { higher_tier_than = COUNT }
			NOT = { character = ROOT }
			OR = {
				religion = norse_pagan
				religion = nyi_sidr
				religion = forn_sidr
			}
			any_demesne_province = {
				OR = {
					culture = eastnorse
					culture = westnorse
				}
			}
		}
	}
	mean_time_to_happen = {
	months = 60
		modifier = {
			factor = 0.5
			trait = zealous
		}
		modifier = {
			factor = 5.0
			trait = hedonist
		}
		modifier = {
			factor = 5.0
			trait = cynical
		}
	}
	option = {
		name = "EVTOPTA1000090000"
		set_character_flag = english_missionary_sent
		piety = 20
	}
	option = {
		name = "EVTOPTB1000090000"
		piety = -20
	}
}

When declaring (ducal claim?)war to claim a duchy for one of my courtiers who has a claim on it, when you win the war he becomes duke of it but he also becomes independent, instead of becoming a duke in my nation, which is what I want.

So how do I change it so they instead become a duke/count for me?

How do you add and remove buildings by event or decision? Is it something like
Code:
gain_building = ca_wall_q_1
and
Code:
remove_building = ca_wall_q_1

Thanks a thousand times over.

I currently play as a king of ireland but his culture is norwegian and i cant find a way to change this. Ive seen Burghers change to his culture but no intrigue/events the other way around. Im not a modder but ive looked through several of those txt files and scoured the forums. Do i need to create and event?

I've tried to write a decision for that one for a while. There is a decision for a vassal to change to his liege's culture, but I think what is needed is one to change to the culture of your capital province.

Hello guys,

I want to make 4 little changes to my game. But unfortunately I'm lost with the modding aspect and which files to change

1) I want to restrict the Holy Wars to Neighbors similar to CK2plus
2) Halving the conversion chance for the lord spirtual.
3) disable the cultural change if the province are heathens, I don't like to see a bunch of german and french shiite provinces in the levant.
4) Halving the troop replenishment rate

Thanks in advance.

1) You can change wars in commons\cb_types. Look for Religious or Holy Wars. You could just copy the relevant parts of CK2plus' cb_types and put them in the vanilla file.
2) Look in commons\job_actions. There you can change all the council jobs.
4) I think this can be found in commons\defines.lua. Search for levy_reinforcement and reinfrocement_multiplier

Does anyone know if you can change the opinion modifiers for having a huge ammount of prestige/piety?

Thanks.

You could make a new trait for both tied to an event once you have exceeded a certain threshold that gives a bonus... I'm not real good at the modding, so I don't know if there's an easier way.

Does anyone know what the opinion modifier is for the negative -20 penalty for holding too many duke titles as a king?

I saw it was added to the defines according to the 1.04c patch log, however I could not find it. I did find the rule for the max amount of duchies held and the rule for max amount of elector titles held, but found no opinion modifier in the defines. I figured it would be in the opinion modifier file, but alas, I could not find it there either.

Perhaps, I am looking at the wrong place or I am mistaken in that it had been added.

Can someone help clarify this for me?

Much obliged my king.

That would be
Code:
MAX_DUCHIES_LEGALLY_HELD = 2, -- Max duchies that a king or above can hold before vassals start getting angry
in /defines.lua.

You can raise it up and up and up but I wouldn't comment it out.

Thanks Redrooster, but I said I already found those variables.

I´m looking for the variable that changes the negative opinion gained for each extra held duchy above the rule. Which is currently -20.

I think the 2 duchy rule is quite fair, however I think the -20 opinion PER duchy is rather harsh.

I want to change that to -10 rather than -20.

I think that it might be de_jure_hog on the opinion modifiers file. That one's -20.
