Just to make sure I am reading the new instructions correctly. You just need Modtek now as the install also includes BTML? The only 2 mods I run Amechwarrior's Better AI (Daily Test Branch version) and Basic Panic Mod (has not been updated) work...so it seems I installed correctly. I get the 0.6.0 load button along with the correct Modtek version on the bottom left as well so all seems good.

PS

Is anyone's main menu buttons quiet, like they do not make a noise when you hover over them? This could be a bug from the out of date Basic Panic System, so likely my fault but thats the only minor issue I have,
 
I couldn't get the new modtek to load at all gave up and went back to version 1.3.2 so i can at least continue my game will up date when the new version of modtek is fixed

That is weird I got it to not only work but both mods work properly (Better AI is no surprise as he updates a lot) and the out of date Basic Panic System. Did you delete the old modtek and BTML properly? This has been my issue in the past. Worse comes to worse reinstall BT with the clean uninstall guide and it should work...

same here dude.
1.4 and modtek 6.0 would show game is now loading but didnt initialize or merge anything or actually load any mods.
so back to 1.32 and modtek 5.1 and btml 7.0 for me as well
 
Odd,

All my mods (Amechwarrior's Bettar AI and Basic Panic System) work with the new patch and new modtek....

PS

I do get quiet main menu buttons (no sound when you hover over them) and a CTD when exiting the game every once in a while (likely due to the out of date Basic Panic System)
 
@Torm51 im sure some of the 50 odd mod i run got broken with 1.4 along with modtek/btml
just gotta wait for updates before i repatch to 1.4
 
6.1 might resolve some of the issues, there was a bug in database handling in 6.0 that may have done strange things, especially if you ever force closed after the game seemed to hang when quitting.

I can confirm 6.1 has resolved this very issue. Haven't had a repeat since updating to 6.1

I have basic panic , but am running XAI mod with it's own AI mods. no BetterAI. No sound issues in menu or game, Argo, etc.

are you sure XAI has its own AI mods?
i run XAI also and am not aware of any AI tweaks from it so am still using better AI

Hmm...you may be right. Xeryx would have to be consulted as It may be a roadmap item.
JK's lance behavior is included.
Time to add in better AI.
 
@TripleStrengthMisnomer you also may want to look at adding Helm Core Dawning and Mission Control.

both add much to flavor and difficulty and they work with what you are running now.

TY Brother.....I will do that along with Better AI.
Really enjoying XAI with all the suggested addons as it really take you back to that TT feel with a few benefits.
Had a problem with missions and vehicles post 1.4 and realized it had nothing to do with ModTek 0.6.1 but rather I was running .99 and had to downgrade to .97 with the separate JKs vehicles mod. Now everything is working properly.

It works fine and is designed solely for 1.4
If you roll back to 1.3.2 , you need to downgrade ModTek.
Now whatever mods you are running? Check for updates or notes on the mods or with the modders themselves if they have updated or tested with 1.4
You could have an extensive list of mods and all it takes is one incompatible one to break things.
