excellent...

Excellent....

So maybe I'll get some work done on saturday....

- MVSN

P.S. Yes, I know I said I was leaving.....but there was an internet cafe and I needed a 'coffee'. Yes....a 'coffee'. It had nothing to do with the C.O.R.E. In fact, I'm not leaving this message right now, because I don't care.

Darn it! I won't be at home when 0.6 comes up for download! Oh well.... I'll just have to wait to experience the magic on Sunday....:(

Hi all.

As subject says, the game hangs while loading a C.O.R.E. 0.532 saved game.

It was the first campaign after a clean install:

Flat HoI -> patch 1.05b -> CORE 0.5 -> 0.51 -> 0.52 -> 0.53 -> 0.531 HotFix -> 0.532 Hotfix, then started playing and saving.

Anyone had the same problem? I can provide the savegame file.

Thanx.

and into the discussion we go...

Damn I was hoping that 0.6 would have been released when I wake up on sunday morning

If I got this right it will be released on sunday morning insted?

It all depends when you get up on Sunday. If I read correctly, it said "0100 Sunday GMT." Seems to me if you get up at a reasonable hour on Sunday (7 or so) it will have been out for a few hours by that point. So my advice is to wake up at 2 (I think) Swedish time and download it, and not waste that time sleeping :D MDow

Last time I checked there was 1658 events in C.O.R.E. v0.6, adding up to 2,6MB as compared to about 350kB in regular HoI ;)

Update on C.O.R.E. release: expected release time is 0100 GMT Sunday 21st September, for the US East Coast that should be 2000 or eight o'clock on Saturday night. I had hoped to get it out tonight but I'm caught up managing a difficult customer situation which is NOT what I had been planning to do at nine on a Friday night :(
Outstanding ... I've already reserved Saturday night and all day Sunday for C.O.R.E. And I'll reserve Sunday night for getting payback from a certain very attractive German redhead who wasn't expecting me to be fighting a war Saturday night. :) But, hey!! Gotta have priorities, right? :D

It's definitely worth it, believe me. This mod is the only reason for this game to exist! And 0,6 seems to be the version.
Cheers

I think we will have to forget about going to church or to the stadium next sunday. And girlfriends and wives should understand by now that Saturday night won't happen. So, better plan something cool for girlfriends and wives tonight. :D

Btw: Post #1989 :p

Speaking of versions, how's progress on the Ukrainian Air Force?:)

I think that what people wil marvel at most is the sense of worldwide interest created by the many new events. Many very small countries have a lot more happening with them. I think a lot of people are going to turn the dialog boxes/pause option back on and leave it on. Even a hands-off game carries with it more interest just as a spectator.

Totally right. I almost failed my retake exams because of it. I started a hands-off and wanted to leave the room, but I simply couldn't. It was like a good film, with lots of action and great personalities. And, from time to time, I even saw myself in that film - as an author of parts of the screenplay... :)
Cheers

In the midst of the 0.6 excitement, I think it's good for folks to remember: nearly all releases have bugs, or something else to deal with, simply because a thousand testers cover a lot more ground in two days than twenty can in two weeks.

I completely understand getting psyched up, and I'm not saying that it's unjustified: Steel, Copper, and many others have done tons. But I trust everyone remembers that there are likely to be issues, and that it's a work in progress in which the community is very much part of improving it and testing it--and if there are issues, hopefully people are understanding and supportive.

only two posts left, then we got it.

hope 0.6 will soon be out.

edit : hope no one will post the 2000 reply, i think this should be reserved for Steel or Generalissimo with the link for 0.6 :D
