Yeah, Mod34 is probably a safe bet, given that the guy in charge of Mod34 is also the NTL guy.

Maybe this is a dumb question (I'm sure it's been answered before but I've looked through so many pages already), but is it normal for Germany to have 300+% research speed at the beginning of the game?

It evens out. If you look at the techs, most of them have much higher research requirements than Vanilla, especially at the higher end.

Yea, I noticed that and that is what I thought. I just wasn't sure if it made the early to middle game a bit ahistorical because at the end of 36 I was already researching most of the 38 techs (36-37 already being completed).

Thanks for the response!

Notepad post.

Small but possibly significant events for Axis powers in 1930s:

Germany
- Scharnhorst & Gneisenau
* Choose to build with 11" guns (historical)
* Accept delay and build with 15" guns (ahistorical, ships them out as Bismarck-class, but delays production six months)

- Radar experiments of 1937
* This will never amount to much! (historical)
* Emphasize naval research.
* Emphasize Luftwaffe research.

Spanish Civil War
- Naval Seizure
* Nationalists seize the capital ships. (historical, gives Nationalists three CA)
* The ships leave port ahead of schedule (ahistorical, gives Republicans three CA)
- Operation Ursula 1(GER)
* Dispatch two boats to the Mediterranean (historical)
* Dispatch ten boats to the Mediterranean (ahistorical but planned - blueprint for Wolfpack doctrine, supply loss)
* The U-boats are too precious to risk (ahistorical - reduce morale for U-boats)
- Operation Ursula 2(GER)
* Tell the captains to use their judgment (trigger Ursula 2(SPR) #1)
* Tell the captains to be aggressive (trigger Ursula 2(SPR) #2)
* Tell the captains to be as discreet as possible (historical) (trigger Ursula 2(SPR) #3)
- Operation Ursula 2(SPR)
* The Germans are coming! (War with GER)
* The perfidious Italians keep sinking our ships! (Relation hit with ITA)
* Differences between outcomes 1-3 is percentages (50-50 chance in the first one, 75-25 in the second, and 15-85 in the third)

Italy
- Decima Flottiglia MAS
* Train the combat swimmers (historical) (blueprint for Basic Ampbibious Ops, Specialized Army unts)
* Inutile! (ahistorical)
- Mussolini's Industrialization Scheme
* Concentrate industrialization in the Northwest (historical) (bonus IC in Turin, Genoa, Milan each year 1936-1939)
* Concentrate industrialization in the South (bonus IC in Anzio, Naples, and Calabria)
* Concentrate on improving rail service (bonus to TC, infrastructure along entire west coast)
- Italy's Imperial Ambitions (Anschluss triggers)
* Follow the Austrian! (historical, gain dissent)
* Dalmatia is rightfully ours! (cores on Yugoslavia, lose some dissent, gain belligerence)
* Una fazza, una razza! (cores on Greece, lose some dissent, gain belligerence)
* Restore the Roman Empire! (cores on Yugoslavia, Greece, and Turkey, massive dissent and belligerence)

Probably more to follow. I'd like to flesh out my ahistorical "Mitchell survives his pneumonia" event idea for Billy Mitchell in the US and parallel "Mitchell survives his cancer" event for Britain (different Mitchells, obviously, though the name coincidence is a little amusing). For Britain to have had R. J. Mitchell still up and designing fighters into at least the mid-'40s would probably have resulted in a higher proportion of fighters at the start of the Battle of Britain being Spitfires rather than Hurricanes, though how to reflect that is kind of up in the air. Billy Mitchell's survival in the US would at best have been into the mid-40s, but it would probably have meant a more prepared USAAC in the early '40s.

Update

Look for a new thread and upload of Rdd version 1.3 with in the next 24 hours.

We are currently testing and fixing issues that have come up.

Things are looking very promising.

Sorry, got all the E-mails in a rush. Let me know if there's any last-minute work that needs to be done. My time's kind of short right now, but I'll do what I can.

Is no problem c0d if you could download and run Germany taking notes. When you can. That would be great. I will have an updated game files up tonight including revised install steps.

Update

Ok we still have some problems with icons showing up for models over 10 (minefields in particular), as well as bugs in historic tech and weather events. But the game appears to be playable and rather delay the mod anymore we will upload now for all and fix historic tech and weather in a patch asap. Look for a new thread now.
