Probably more to follow. I'd like to flesh out my ahistorical "Mitchell survives his pneumonia" event idea for Billy Mitchell in the US and parallel "Mitchell survives his cancer" event for Britain (different Mitchells, obviously, though the name coincidence is a little amusing). For Britain to have had R. J. Mitchell still up and designing fighters into at least the mid-'40s would probably have resulted in a higher proportion of fighters at the start of the Battle of Britain being Spitfires rather than Hurricanes, though how to reflect that is kind of up in the air. Billy Mitchell's survival in the US would at best have been into the mid-40s, but it would probably have meant a more prepared USAAC in the early '40s.
