Sorry, i do not understand.
If you have resumed the game that has already started, you will not be able to produce heavy fighters unless you first search for multirole fighters.
You should start a new one ... or search for the first multi-role hunting step.

I can't understand you. By search do you mean research?

You next might want to work on the Diplomatic Map. It is all green, except for Germany's allies. Non-allies should be grey, or at least something other than green or red. :)

Found another bug. I am unable to order Air Superiority with Level II Interceptors from either Nat. Spain or Hungary. Note that the Spanish ones are mysteriously alredy doing Air Superiority, which had to be an A.I. command before I (Just now) took MC of them. I can order A.S. missions with Int III's from Hungary, as seen in Screenshot 4 below.

BTW, the game allows stacks of much greater than 4 squadrons. Was that your intention? Given that, I'm going to mix in the Int III's with the II's and order AS that way, and see if it works. Can't do that with Spain, since they don't have III's yet.

Enjoying so far. The Navy treaty really messed up my monster Navy builds!

Hello!

Air units now consist of 250 men compared to 1000 in the original game.
I retouched all values appropriately, reduced by 1/4.
So as in history they are squadrons and to make a hunting flock they need 3 or 4 or even 5 depending on the nation.
I therefore led to a maximum of squadrons in an attacking flock of 16 units, in fact they are like the original game, 4 units for total of 4000 men.
This allows you to make bomber formations with integrated hunting escort to your liking.

Limitation of the original game, I find it correct.
You can not make air superiority if you reach a certain level of single fighter squadron organization.
Or if framed in a flock, the hunting squadron with the lowest level of organization, must not be less than a certain value.
This is to prevent the units from making air superiority until their annihilation.
The level of organization can be increased with researches.

For the naval treaty, I'm sorry but it's history and therefore it will remain. :D:p
It does not last forever, it has its logical developments until the end of it, a term that can be by historical date or by the beginning of a war.

Installation instructions? What do I do with the batch file?

Installation instructions - read carefully:

Install the game "Hearts of Iron II - Arsenal of Democracy" on your computer, after installation verify the
location of the main game folder, you will find it under the name "Arsenal of Democracy".
For those with Windows 7, generally the installation will take place in the "Programs(x86)" system folder, so the
path will be similar to "C:\Programs(x86)\Arsenal of Democracy".
Unpack the downloaded file "IRON_FIST_MOD.zip" by creating the "IRON_FIST_MOD" folder with everything you need
inside.
Copy the "MODS" folder inside "IRON_FIST_MOD" into the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder.
Copy the "jsgme_setup.exe" file into the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder.
From the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder, run the "jsgme_setup.exe" file, follow the instructions in English,
they are intuitive, and install the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" in the main folder "Arsenal of Democracy".
Installed the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" you will have in the main folder "Arsenal of Democracy" the file
"JSGME.exe", launch it and the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" will open with 2 windows visible, on the left the
"Available Mods", that is the available mods that can be activated, and on the right the "Activated Mods" that is
the mods that are activated.
Among the mods available, in the left window, there will be the mod "IRON FIST" and the mod
"IRON FIST No Nazi Mod".
Select the mod "IRON FIST" with the mouse pointer and with the single arrow to the right, click and wait for the
"IRON FIST" mod to appear now among the activated mods.
If for reasons of personal sensitivity or respect for the law you do not want Nazi symbols in the graphics of
play, you can activate the "IRON FIST No Nazi Mod" in the same way as before.
The time that the JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler takes to activate the mod varies depending on the computer and if
you have other mods or patches active through JohnSoft.
If you have other versions, mods or patches activated, it may even take a few hours.
I recommend a clean activation, without other versions, mods or patches activated, I only use 20 seconds.
Also close the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler".
Go back to the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder, you will find the "IRON_FIST.bat" file and click, this file
will perform an imperceptible action, delete the various campaigns available in
"Hearts of Iron II - Arsenal of Democracy"
which are not playable with "IRON FIST", leaving only the campaign of play "IRON FIST MOD (1936)".
Return to the main folder "Arsenal of Democracy", select 'AODGame.exe' file and create a shortcut on your destop.
Select the shortcut created on the desktop, between its selected properties change icon, in the main
"Arsenal of Democracy" folder you will find the icon to use 'IRON FIST.ico'.
You have finished installing "IRON FIST", now you can play through the shortcut.
By launching the "Arsenal.exe" file located in the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder, you can choose various
options including: change game language, default language the game is in Italian, skip the intro every time you
launch the game, by default the introductory video always starts.
For those who still use Windows 7 as their operating system, install the "vc_redist.x64.exe" file for 64-bit
operating systems or the "vc_redist.x86.exe" file for 32-bit operating systems.

In the case of a patch for updating the game, I have chosen to never propose only the corrections and
modifications, for personal choice I will always put the entire downloadable game already in the latest version.
Download the new compressed file and unpack it.
Open the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" by clicking on the "JSGME.exe" file you have in the main
"Arsenal of Democracy" folder.
The mod "IRON FIST" that you see activated on the right, should be selected and shown on the left.
Obviously if you have activated the "IRON FIST No Nazi Mod", you must first disable this, then "IRON FIST".
Go to the "MODS" folder inside the main "Arsenal of Democracy" game folder, delete the entire "IRON FIST" folder.
Go to the "IRON_FIST_MOD" folder created a little while ago by unpacking the downloaded file, select "IRON FIST"
found in the "MODS" folder.
Copy that new "IRON FIST" folder into the "MODS" folder inside the main "Arsenal of Democracy" game folder.
Go back to the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler", the mod "IRON FIST" that you see now on the left, it must be
activated bringing it to the right.
The update is completed.

The first few times you play "IRON FIST" it is recommended to read each initial message well, there are details
directions to follow at the beginning of each game, they are very important

Have fun.

Hi boulvard,
I'm running the game as Tibet o_O so that I can see where the countries will be on 1 September 1938. Then I'll create new .inc files for your 1938 scenario. I came across a couple of things that you might need to know or help me understand.
  • Japan attacks Guangxi Clique on 5 July 1936, before the Japanese attacked any Chinese (or warlord) territory. So now Japan has taken all of Guangxi Clique, except for one province, before the United Front event triggers on 7 March 1937. So now Japan is next to the provinces that Nationalist China will fall back to when Japan pushes inward from Nanjing. And Japan never has to declare war on Nationalist China because when the United Front triggers and Guangxi Clique joins the alliance, they are already at war.
  • Nationalist China was down to 13 provinces (all just south of CCP) containing only 7 industries as of 3 March 1938.
  • By 1 September 1938, Nationalist Spain is down to only 2 provinces, Seville and Malaga
  • By 1 September 1938, Nationalist China and all of the warlords allied with them have been annexed by Japan. Only Communist China is holding out in its 3 mountain area.
I will be rerunning Iron Fist from 1936 to 1 September 1938 2 more times to get a better view of what techs, province upgrades, and units each country developed. Then I will use these to create the individual country .inc files and the 1938 scenario .eug file.

Also I am loving these superior Tibetan tech teams and high IC  ...The world will succumb to the massive Tibetan threat.

Ciaoooo

I tried to build a game that could follow history, but also hypothetical new scenarios.
On some thousands of tests carried out by my tester in five years, about 1 time of 7 Japan wins against national China.
After the occupation of Nanjing, the massacre of civilians took place and the partisan militias were born like mushrooms, greatly weakening the push of Japan.
Republican Spain has better percentages, about once in 4 wins.
I have been discussing with my historical advisors and the tester for weeks on end to decide how strong a country is or not.
It was particularly difficult to set up Italy and the USSR.
Italy starts strong in Africa most of the time, then is defeated by the British 2 out of 3 times.
The USSR is crushed at the beginning of barbarossa, many times, worse than in history.
In 1942 he recovered and if the German did not penetrate beyond the Ural mountains, he was overwhelmed in 2/3 years
Germany wins against Soviet 1 time of 3,5.
Better than this I was unable to do.

I should get more realistic results as I rerun the game.

Also, I have been running Iron Fist at Extremely Fast speed and running my AoD at the same on my laptop without any issues. Yes, both games running on the same laptop at the same time. I do run the games with no History Preview bar open and not running "no fog" cheat. Also have 16 GB of RAM. Not sure if this helps you or others that are running into games crashes at the higher speeds.

To tell the truth, it's been a long time since I ran into game crashes at high speed.
I thought I would remove the related warning message.
Despite everything, Iron Fist also seems more stable than the AoD updated to the latest official patch.
I think anyone who plays the HOI II series, some crashes can also be accepted.
What opinion do you give me about it?

I should get more realistic results as I rerun the game.

In 5 years my personal beta tester has collected data on about 5250 full games ...not to believe but I assure you he did.
He is a former bank employee, expert in data collection and statistics.
I made corrections and improvements based on the results he communicated to me, he did a Nobel prize work.
But I was never able to do everything as I wanted, AI is very difficult to build and set up, I spent whole nights until 4:00 am and then worked from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
In the end I thought I should settle for an acceptable compromise result.
If I hadn't been satisfied, the result could have been too little better but the infinitely more dedicated time.
So I made a decision and released Iron Fist.
Iron Fist is unfortunately not a perfect game, but I think people who are committed to develop the game, have always aspired to perfection by any means.
