Hello! Sorry for my bad english.

I am playing for USSR and this is very fun. It is my third try to game. I am glad, that there is real workebility AI for Axis members and fight against them is real challenge.

In second time in your mod i gave Axis many boost, for example speed +60% and PP. And this is so great! German take all Europian part of my country, i defend near Stalingrad and Moscow in september 1941. And i take great satisfaction when i did the counter-attack and defended the capitalicy. I play in HOI2 very long and it is one of most interesting expirience in this game. German spent manpower in nowember 1941, battle in Moscow was there long counter-attack, i rotated 200 division, command them going to battle or realax and using offering attack to fall german bonus.

Now i start again (19 july 1939 now) and try use all game mechanic to take all efficacy for mother Russia and i will fight with very boost AI.

Your idia about China war is unussual for HOI2, i did not saw any else mod, when the historic balance and China have chance to stay alive to 1941, if Japan take Nankin. But there is small bag, China as Japan minor have not manpower( And AI not use air power alltime, but it problems can be fix from boost to me.

I am from Russia, and thank you for attention to details USSR OOB. It is also first mod, when i meet brigade and corps special of USSR. Interesting moment - divisions NKVD, it is little popular story, but they fighted witgh German in front (Charkov, Stalongrad) all war and i glad, that you not forget them. Thank you also for specific like divisions of Leningrad militia.

Maybe it is interesting also to add soviet milition divisions, special event like forming of early war infantry brigades (from marines, fighters of militia, rear-person), Grenader brigade if german take Tichvin.

It is sad, that HOI2-mechanics can't to present situatuion in june 1941, when big soviet army was split into three echelons and it is one of reason effecycy Barbarossa. But in your mod i spent my divisions if i even take all division on boarder and it is cool for game belance, thanks!

I have prepared a new version of iron Fist, the new 1.226 which differs from 1.225 only for having a scenario called "Iron Fist No Time Limit" to be able to play without anxiety about the end of the playing time, nothing else will change.
So now you also have the opportunity to play and do all the tests you want knowing that the game will last until January 1st 1999.

Insteresting events! It is not striking to me, because in Russia soviet ideology stay in modern brainds in the gender aspects. According it, in the work or buisness human always must be good human and not important, what is the gender of your "tovarish". At one time it was strange for me to find out what was different in other countries.

But as a rule woman not went to the combatants on the front-line, the goverment conscripted womans on rear positions (air defense, communications), fabric work, medicine, and (in very dark time in 41) on massive fortificate work. However, the army, fleet and air-force not prevented to volunters-girls. The womans as tank crew, sailors and pilots and even rige-infantry were not yet ussual, but and it was often. Many special ops troops had womans-pecialists, for example - squad of special division Dzersginskogo, wich included Zoy Cosmodemyanovskya, national hero of my country. And our sanitar companyis almost always consisted of women, young girls take wounded mans from battlfield under german fire...

And it is important, that you presented it in mods for. I am respect you and your uncle for this!

In Soviet Union have not only experience of woman on war, but, and it is sad story, experience of many children and teenagers (girls and boys). They mobilaze on fortificate work. When my grand-grandmother was teenager, she constructed trenches near Moscow.

Also many young boys and girl lied about your age and try to go to the front. For example, my grandfather go to the front in 15 old (it was 1942) as volunter, but his one-hand officer recruiting station take my grandfather on East front near Japans, becauce that officer thinked, that German front not place for boys. In 1941-1942 volunter and consript young boys 15-19 old fell into place on Far East. It made it possble to direct more contract older warriors theathre on German front. Like rotation. And young boys on eastern border gave veteran and contract warriors, for example, to Vasily Zayzev (he stay in Pacific fleet to august 1942 and long time not found replacement to head west) possble goint to the Front. The army re-formed in the Far East consisted of a million soldiers, moreover, they were mostly boys - the officers had to teach them in conditions of constant readiness for war with Japan (and skirmishes with the Japanese were common until 1944)

You can continue the old game without problems, however the maximum time limit is 1964.

When my force go to board of Germany, i meet with Wervolfs and Wolksturms?

Under certain conditions the German AI carries out desperate controffensives with troops generally of second order, the Wolksgrenadier division and Volkssturm battalions integrated with the divisions (which are worth nothing, give only small bonuses).
The German knows how to make himself dangerous until the last moment, I tried to reproduce this with the game.
Werewolf no, no such event or counterattack, werewolves have been uninfluential from a military point of view.

I am very happy that a Russian friend really likes my mod.
For me it means that we have done an excellent and honest job even towards players from the former USSR.

No, iron fist will remain based on arsenal of democracy.
I created and developed the game with the help of another person who was testing the various changes and additions.
I created, my uncle tested. Only 2 people.
It was a huge job, which took me about 7 years.
I will not start editing again to bring to darkest hour.
I chose arsenal because it is more stable and with fewer bugs than darkest.
At most I could further refine the game and add event for cold heal and moon rush ... but I won't start a new job.
Then in Italy right now there are other problems.

Wolffer34, Since boulvard is nice enough and gave us permission (with credits) to let us use some of his work, we can integrate some of Irön First logic and technologies into AoD 1.13 or later releases. Is there something specific from Irön Fist you like to see in AoD? I can't guarantee it would be in the release, since the Dev team would need to discuss it, and we get players thoughts first.

I have one question about the scenario Irön Fist. Now most (UK) destroyers has brigade naval fire control and none have naval asw. Is this intended from your side or just something you didn't change from the vanilla 1936-scenario? I think most destroyers should have asw, shouldn't they (if they have any brigade at all)? Another thing i woonder about is submarines having naval spotter as allowed brigade??

(I have also started to make some small changes, based on changes i made to the economy and map of AoD some ten years ago. I can tell you if you want.)

In fact, if you look at the formations, the most modern ones have the asw.
It is up to the player to produce asw to be assigned to destroyers instead of fire control in order to have destroyers with specific anti-submarine capability.
It is the result of a study and also a choice having only one place per aggregate brigade.

submarines have the option of having the naval spotter.

My creation is freely available to anyone who wants to use it for new MODs, additions or studies.
Knowing that people want to use it for their mods and additions is very cool, it makes me happy.

For me, making many players in the HOI II series happy has been a great success and satisfaction.

Thank you for your quick answer, now I know why you did as you did! What concerns me is that the AI doesn't seem to change it's brigades.
I will try some changes and see how it works - including to allow two brigades for destroyers..! I really like the ability to make small and simple modifications but I'm not as skilled as you :)

Ok ...sorry

I got confused, ASW (anti submarine weapons) are not reconnaissance, they are electronic anti submarine countermeasures like you said.
The scout is the REC.
But the logic of technological research is the same, the radar was in its infancy in 36 and therefore also the electronic countermeasures.

I really love your modification, adding new graphics for the units of the large participating countries, the artificial intelligence much more historic than that of the original game.

Hello everyone.

New updates are coming soon that fix other minor errors and text strings.

I wanted to inform you that in the coming months Iron Fist will also have full translation in French, German, Spanish and Russian.

By now both the beta tester and I have been playing with it for years and everything goes smoothly as no serious errors were found, indeed, from January to October, we found only small errors and missing or incorrect texts.
