I agree with this, and if you want take another player out, go and fight a WWI game ;)

Depends on how this game goes, I have some ideas for some rules next game :)

Anyways, just wait for lamprey's response. If he doesn't response soon, I propose we only play 1 game this weekend, rather than 2, and get a sub for lamprey ASAP, perhaps Lotus Lo. I want to give Lamprey a chance to respond until Wednesday. On Thursday, I'll email a saved game to Lotus Lo (if he accept) .

Anyways, hopefully Lamprey will respond in time, if not, I'll send information to Lotus Lo, saved game plus what I know about Prussia's diplomatic situation. Don't worry, I'll only update Lotus Lo based on what Lamprey has told me so if you told me any secret, it's safe with me. ;) I think if Lotus Lo get those information on Thursday, he still has 1-2 days to prepare himself if he's subbing for Prussia :)

Hmm...

On the days and times...

I would prefer earlier evening starts say around 9pm EST on Saturdays or Sundays. My university and EU2 schedule rules out every other day. Its difficult for Australians to play MP cos US times are during the afternoon for us.

my email is adslcaw0@tpg.com.au

I'm still thinking and wont' finalize until this game's over really. It's just what I observe and what I think might make the game more fun.

For example #1 power is not allowed to have any human allies period, none. If you become #1 while you're at war, you can keep it but once war's over, you have to termininate all human alliances. This does not prevent you from conducting diplomacy and causing other players to attack each other and leave you alone but you cannot make any alliance with other humans. This makes more war possible and harder to hold #1 position.

There are others but I want to observe this game more.

Lotus: looks like we won't have Friday session, so we probably don't need a sub as Lamprey replied :) thanks though.

I think I will need a sub, I will go to my grandfather coming sat and I am afraid I wont make it home in time, so Im sorry.

You have Lotus Lo's email address so I suggest you contact him as soon as possible, update him on what's going on and give him your latest save game file (if you have it). If not, I'll try to see if I can find one from another player and give to him. I think the latest I have is 1841 or so, I need to see if I have any 1849 saved game file.

Because I dropped out halfway last time I have no save, but I will contact LL.

Ok, Rafiki is joining as UK. I see no problem for human to play UK now as alliances have formed, enough to counter UK plus more. Besides, no one voted against Rafiki as UK :D

Rafiki does ask people to be gentle with him and he claims people give him too much credit and UK may crash and burn. :D

You could always join the underdog alliance. I think Prussia/Russia/Spain would be able to find a place for ya :)

no they are in war with you atm!!! They are the enemy, remember that, and never thrust them......

Ah, not being subscribed to this thread (till now), I hadn't kept up-to-date with what was going on here.

Also, having found out what was meant by profile, I'll try to say a few words on that as well;

I am a total n00b when it comes to multiplayer, either we're talking about Victoria, Paradox games or in general. I'll probably need some coaching in getting things up and running ;)

As for playing style, I'm fairly peaceful, preferring to focus on industrialization, research and to a lesser extent colonization. I start the occasional war when I think it suits my interests or when I think it's justified, but very, very rarely for the fun of it...

I don't consider myself a skilled player, but I don't hink I'm too bad either; I know a good deal about the game, just haven't been able to actually use that knowledge at all times ;)

I have been known to carry a grudge if someone tricks me or gives me a bloody nose I didn't expect, but at the same time I'm pragmatic, preferring to focus on the future and how I can make the best of my current situation, rather than being stuck on things that have happened and that are impossible to do anything about anyway.

Not sure if this covers what you need; feel free to ask if there's anything left out.

:) Rafiki

Welcome rafiki!!

Well, I know you may feel like there are things about the game you may understand but be unable to implement. I know how you feel. i constantly reference my own manual on plurality. I still don't have a full grasp of it! In the last war in this game, I hit the mobilization button when my army maintenance was at 50%. D'oh! Newbie mistake. :(

Good luck, you may need it, you may not since you're UK :)

Trickery is the name of the game. I think it's hard to avoid being tricked 100% as I've seen some tricks already occured.

If you have questions, feel free to ask and I'm sure many nations would love to talk to you as you are the new gorilla on the block :)

It's good to try to put the past behind you otherwise you may get frustrated sometimes.
