I want to start a game for new to moderate skilled players. If you consider yourself moderate skilled, don't come here to bash newbie and screw the game por favor.
Pre-required:
- Reliable (don't disappear in the wilderness please).
- Punctual.
- Not afraid to lose (it's impossible to have 8 winners.).
- Good spirit (with this attitude you can win, even if you are crushed).
Scenario : 1492 Ryoken's balanced scen (not the moddir) Link for scenario
Objectives:
The objectives of this game is to have fun and a lot of wars.
I will create some objectives (with rewards) that will encourage war between player.
Those objectives will be based upon 2 things :
- Historical situation
- World situation created by the game itself (for example, why not a Swiss revolt if France take over Helvetia?)
Also, players are encouraged to send ideas about objectives. I'll certainly take those ideas in mind when creating those objectives (my time is limited unfortunatly).

Rules :
WAR:
- 3 prov max per war (you can't lose more than 3 provinces).
- Colonies count as level/10. Meaning 2 level 5 colonies count as 1 provinces. Maximum of 6 colonies.
3 to 6 yrs War:
Winner:
- 300d and -1% inflation.
- 30% chance of a leader
Loser:
- The loser have 600d and -2% inflation.
- 20% chance of a leader.
- Edited after session.
6 to 14 yrs war:
Winner:
- With each real war, the winner have 500d and -1.5% inflation.
- 60% chance of a leader
Loser:
- The loser have 1000d and -3% inflation.
- 30% chance of a leader.
- Edited after session.
Exceptional war (over 14 yrs):
Winner:
- the winner have 1000d and -4% inflation.
-100% chance of a leader
Loser:
- The loser have 2000d and -8% inflation AND 1 DP click (without stab hit).
- 70% chance of a leader.
- Edited after session.
- This war will involve population migration based on where the combat took place (this will be statistical calculus to avoid any partiality i might have in particular situation).
Alliance :
- Alliance are permitted only when you want to declare war to an enemy (this will build up the tension). Alliance will be edited out after the session to avoid penalty involved by the game.
Varia:
- Discussion of Treaty would be public, except for alliance to attack someone.
- Non-aggression pacts and diplomatic intentions must be stated openly. They can last for a maximumof 15 yrs. They Cannot be renewed. 15 yrs or a war need to occur between these 2 country to resign another NAP.
- Map trading with AI is stricly forbidden. Map trading between humans is forbidden until 1625.
- If a nation has -99WS and -3 stability it must accept the next stabhitting offer of peace.
-Players are not allowed to annex or take land from another players vassals until they've been at war with those vassals for at least a year.
-If you force enemy cots open via. war. Cots must stay open for 20 years.
- If you force military access through war, the MA should last 20 yrs.
- Using pirates to stop a load or deny a retreat is forbidden;
-If you are vassalised, be that via event. You are forced to stay so for 10 years. (doesn't apply for vassalisation already in effect from game start.)
- You can't vassalize another human kingdom.
So I think that this setting will let new players to learn fast what is diplomacy (open treaty) and war (bonus for war that help to recover fast from a war).
Plan :
When we have enough players we will do a connection test to see if everything's ok.
What you should know :
1 - Install patch 1.08 1.08 patch
2 - Download the latest beta patch 2 feb 2005
3 - If you have a router, you have to know which port you need to forward to your computer. ports 2300 to 2400 AND port 47624 . Find a friend to help you if you don't understand this sentence. Otherwise, you won't be able to play.
That's it. Feel free to discuss rules, objectives, etc... About the time, it's hard for me to change that. Maybe Tuesday would be possible, but let's see who's interested. I would like at least 8 players.
