No Fear- A Polish Attempt to Conquer the World
I'm not the best player in the world, so the settings aren't to make my task a feat of champions:
Very Easy/Furious
Cheats used to lower dissent after a DOW and to increase war entry level
Note: The dialogue seems cooler if you imagine it to be said in a thick Polish accent.
Start:
Annexation of Czechoslovakia
Prime Minister Marian Zyndram-Koscialkowski steps up to the platform.
“My people, as you know, our archeologists recently discovered ancient Polish books in a cave near the Czechoslovakian city of Slakov. This, along with the text inside the books themselves, firmly states that Poland has ancient claims, yet present rights to the territory of Czechoslovakia. We have discussed this politely with the government of Czechoslovakia only to be mocked and ignored. We have tried every avenue a thousand times, and yet we are ignored. Well, we shall be ignored no longer!”
[Prime Minister Marian Zyndram-Koscialkowski waits 30 seconds for the crowd to die down]
“People of the Rzeczpospolita Polska, there is more to say!”
“It would take a stronger man than I to be able to ignore these insults on my human dignity, and as a human, I feel we must we MUST take action. As I speak, our army, strengthened by three new advanced engineer divisions, is marching across the border! I will not pretend to you, my beloved people of the great Polish Republic, that war is an easy casual thing. It is NOT. War is and shall forever remain hell. I wish there was some other option, but our human honor will not permit for these Czechoslovakian insults to go unchallenged! We shall meet these insults with the tip of our swords, and no regrets!”
[The crowd goes wild and chants “Rzeczpospolita Polska” long after the Prime Minister steps off the stage]
[War Room in central Warsaw, many men are looking over a military map of the Czechoslovakian border. The door slams open with a loud bang, and Prime Minister Marian Zyndram-Koscialkowski walks briskly in.]
“How goes the war gentlemen?” the Prime Minister questions loudly.
“Ah, Prime Minister, the war progresses well, yet not as planned.” Chief General Rydz-Smigly replies in a deep voice.
“Explain General”
[General Rydz-Smigly motions for the Prime Minister to come towards the big map on the table].
“As you can see here, the Czechoslovakians were only partially ready for us. They advanced from the Province of Kospice and took the Polish territory of Przemysl, but our advance from Cieszyn cut off both Przemysl and Munkacs from supply. As you can see, I personally commanded the assault on Troppau and slaughtered the scum in that province. The assault on Munkacs goes well, but is not nearly as progressive as Kospice and Troppau. We expect that province to be captured quickly now that they are out of supply, and the army there shall retake our home province from the Czechs.”
[Two days later the phone rings in the Prime Ministers office]
“Yes?”
”Prime Minister, it is I, General Rydz-Smigly. Our forces have advanced from Kospice and took the major Slovakian city of Bratislava, and my personal army broke through the thick Polish reserves in Praha. The war will be over shortly, the Czechoslovakian’s back has been broken.”
“Excellent, how are our losses?”
“We have lost roughly 40% of the 30 divisions sent into Czechoslovakia, the war was not easy Prime Minister”
“I see, but our reserves remain high, those spots shall be replaced as soon as the war is over.”
“It shall be done, Prime Minister”
“Excellent, and make damn sure that no one finds out about the fabricated evidence for the war. We will need more yet if Poland is to ascend the path of glory”
“Of course, Prime Minister”
