Hmm, for some stupid reason I can't connect to Vnet - it says it is trying to retrieve the list of channels, but it never succeeds and when I hit back, it CTDs..
EU2 and HoI2 Vnet worked fine for me so I wonder what could be the problem..

I could take Barcelona, to be a bit out of flame, Middle East/Balcans seem pretty crowdy anyways and Barcelona is an average duchy.

Well that first session went well. Most everyone was there. Though not always at the same time. About 5 rehosts and 3 or 4 CTDs.
Tzare and Flamey, and anyone else for that matter, are more then welcome to join us next week if they don't mind not playing for the first 20 odd years of the game.
Hopefuly Cyrus can get his computer issues fixed by then. Or just play from his girlfriends house from now on.
Also we discussed a new rule inthe game. We think its best everyone run a SemiSalic Succession law(or elective). To make things more interesting.

My wife hunt was dramatic - I found that duchy of Asturias has no heirs, so I tried to marry my duke with her, but the old pothead would rather mary her to some faraway count then my triple-duke, so I immediately sent an assasin to that county, then tried to marry, but she was married again (in 2 weeks or so), so I killed that idiot too and finally I could get my bride.
Cost lives of my heir and eldest daughter though, -2.5 reputation and quite into prestige and piety negatives.
But I got all those courtiers from child courts, yay, at least a decent spymaster - 11 not 8 intrigue!
Hope she produces a good heir and we unite our duchies (asturias + catalonia, marche and bourdeaux)..

Well Cyrus seems to have gotten his problems fixed. And while I was giving him the save game I noticed that we have our first kingdom in the game. The AI made Pisa!
