I see the design saving seems to include graphics. How does that work between countries that don't share graphics? Or are designs more or less country-locked?

In either case this is one of those features I've always been surprised isn't a thing in some PDX games. Like instinctively I assumed that was how naval task force templates worked, same with armies in EU4, like why would I define an army if not because I want to reuse it in other campaigns? (gotta keep in mind it took me hundreds of hours in that game to reach a point where being able to construct multiple standardized armies made any sense)

You are able to import any design that is available for the equipment designer you have open. This includes if you are missing modules, upgrade levels, it is made for different chassis that you have open or even if it contains things from mods.

As for loading designs, you will not be able to select the designs for which you lack modules or an upgrade level for. The designs for different chassis are not visible until you open the designer with that chassis. If a design contains modules or upgrades from a loadset you don't have (e.g. disabled mods), then it will not show up in the lists either.

I was maybe a bit quick in my formulation.

Designs for the correct chassis are shown in the list. If you lack the modules or upgrades to build them, they will be grayed out.

Designs for a different chassis then the only you are currently designing (e.g. heavy tank designs when you are designing a light tank) are not shown in the list of designs.

I hope that clarifies it :)
If i have a design i can't build, becauseni am missing one or two modules, can we get a mouseover tooltip telling us what modules we miss for this design? Or can we just look at the design to figure it out ourselves?

You can still use them but it would be the default graphics (unless you pick new graphics for them after selecting them).

Hovering over the design should give you all the info you need about missing modules or upgrade levels. Please report back if you find a situation where you are blocked by any unknown factors (preferably with an exported design string) so we can remedy that issue.

A quick question, can you add more states at the Levant region? Sometimes I just don't want to see that pistol-shaped map near the Jordan River. And if I could see more of the famous ancient-cities of Upper and Lower Syria on the map, I will be a happy man.

Can you rename graphic icons in the list to show what real life equipment piece they are based on? It would help players find the closest similar picture to their modifications.

The shareable equipment designs are for tanks, planes and ships so it should already be there (assuming you have the dlc for the ship designer).

I think @goodcigar is refering to something different here: The function of the designer to create historical designs (which is absent for ships with the exception of the UK)

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/naval-presets-are-missing-their-names.1724104/ very old bug at this point

"- United Kingdom: Expand the Secret Intelligence Service typo fix (it's no longer the Greta War)"
This is sad. It was more interesting and enjoyable for me to wonder who Greta was, and whether she won her war with the UK.

Or has the SIS been covering it up for a century?

Well Amanullah now has 5 generals, 2 tribal leaders Niedermayer and he keeps two on, would be good to have Amanullah as a FM, especially since the Civil War is about restoring him to the throne. But normal Afghanistan needs more generals.

AND ADD the SHIAS to the game, Iraq is majority Shia and in Afghanistan the Hazaras were probably 25% of the population at that time.
Iraq also needs more generals.

When a focus is completed and the screen pops up, you used to be able to press escape to go to the focus tree. This is no longer possible in the beta. Could you please bring this back?

Some suggestions after a quick reflection on finishing my first democratic Afghanistan campaign on the Open Beta:

- Require to avoid the civil war should either be:
- Non-Aligned support is less than 50
- Democratic Support is at least 35
## Both of these are achievable. I was able to get at least 40 Democratic Support and about 12 Communist Support by rushing for the new advisors and giving the "He who puts his faith in God" trait to the King. The Democratic Influx ends, if rushed, in mid-1938, at which point the communist support starts to eat at Democratic support##
- Add a co-mutual focus on "Declare the Republic" to "Control the King". This would remove the Non-Aligned Popularity gain from King Zahir Shah
- Rename the "He Who Puts his Faith in God" trait to "Pious Muslim"
- Advisor Abdul Hai Habibi (from "Education Reform") should grant a slight democratic boost considering the focus discusses "we must do more to instill democratic values.." . I suggest either +0.05 or +0.02
- Follower of Islam should also be lumped into modifying "Pious Muslim" by adding current modifiers. It should also be moved upward to be immediately available after "He Who Puts His Trust in God".
- Again. The Focuses "Parliamentary Democracy" and "Socialist Coup" should be co-mutual.

Generals!

For the next several days you’ll be able to test some things and give us all your feedback.

Please report issues in Bug Reports!

You can play around, test and give feedback on anything you like, but our focus will be on these points:
  • Equipment Designer - We’ve added functionality to save your designs across game sessions. Save a tank/ship/plane design in one playthrough, and load it up in another.
  • Also added is the ability to share designs with friends using the import/export feature.
View attachment 1278465View attachment 1278466

  • Saadabad Pact Branch - Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey are getting a shared branch that allows them to cooperate more with one another.
  • Iran is getting some extra characters and focuses, including scientists and generals.
  • Afghanistan is also getting some extra characters in the form of a communist country leader and some new advisors.
  • Iraq’s Kurdistan branch is being expanded upon

We’re working hard on polishing Graveyard of Empires content on multiple fronts with the addition of new focuses, characters and events. We’ll continue to work on fixes, content and balancing as the beta progresses, and we may want to update the beta content during this time to make sure you have the opportunity to give us specific feedback relevant to the state of the game at that time.

The equipment designer persistence feature is something we might want to extend in the future towards other parts of the game as well, so please give us feedback on that! (The import/export feature is available in the equipment designer that comes with MTG, NSB or BBA)

Is it possible for more generals to be added to Iraq?
