PDS is happy to present:
My name is: Sara Wendel-Örtqvist
My forum nick is: SolSara
At Paradox development studio I work as: Scripter
So what do I do, really – what does that mean? I script events, databases, anything that might need scripting, write events, do a lot of game writing, historical research and some design.
I have worked on: Victoria II, Hearts of Iron: Semper Fi, Europa Universalis III: Divine Wind, Crusader Kings II, Sengoku, Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam, March of the Eagles, Europa Universalis IV.
Right now I´m working on: Super-Secret Awesome Game Project!
My best moment at Paradox Development Studio: The game project I am currently working on, and the trip to New York 2011.
My best game ever and why I like it: (that I did not create)There are so many! The Witcher games, Little Big Adventure 2, Grim Fandango... The Witcher games because I love the story and the fact that they took inspiration from the books and made it even better. Little Big Adventure 2 because it was the first "real" computer game I played, and I played it with my mother as I couldn't really understand English at the time. Grim Fandango because it is the only game that has ever made me cry (I was 10 when I got it).
My hobbies include: Kickboxing, floorball, skiing, reading, playing games.
If I was a game character, I would be: I would like to be Jade from Beyond Good and Evil.
I have decorated my desk with: Two stuffed Totoros, one Totoro in the shape of a moneybox made of clay, a bust of Caesar from Europa Universalis: Rome, a medieval tankard with a red bird stuffed into it, four Raving Rabbids (evil clown, Altair, cherry blossom and Cleopatra) and three toys from Kidrobot.
And out of the 7 deadly sins, I am definitely guilty of: Pride.
Little known fact about a Paradox Development Studio game: The elusive cat event in CKII was made upon podcat's request.
