Even as I can not apply to the work atm (as I am studying at university), I am just curious:

What programming skills would you think would be needed to work for Paradox in 4 years?
- C++ and Visual Basic?

What kind of 3D knowledge should one have to work with the 3D for Paradox? What languages will be used for the ingame graphics in 4 years?

If you could answer that it would be a blast as I could specify my education for such subjects.

C++. Lua and Python is good to know as well.. Visual Basic knowledge is as useful as knowing how to play an ukulele though.

Maya for development. Shader programming for coding, and knowing directx(12 or 13 by then?)

Looks interesting. :) Shame that I would have to change my place of living from the Czech republic to Sweden. :(

Anyway, a short hint on fee/payment would be helpful (motivating;))...

Thanks for the info.:)

Is this one position, or many positions?

You have one position just for this forum? :eek:

Setting up a work ad here is infinitely better than using the regular channels.

Giving an ad to the national employment agency would only give Johan a thousand (make that two in these harsh times) applications from people with varying experience like running hot-dog stands or doing nothing at all. Not to mention those who apply for jobs only to get unemployment benefits or to appease government officials.

Just browsing the forum hints on a basic interest of the company and the products. Of course, the interest required might not be as deep as for that Amiga graphics program, which if taken apart properly (assembly language) would reveal a telephone number and a message that the skilled hacker was an interesting candidate for employment.

Will applicants without immediate fluency in Swedish be considered?

Just learn the one true language and the problem is solved :):D:p

I have all of the technical qualifications for this job.

I have Forum Moderator experience.

And I actually am looking for a job right now.

And I actually live in Canada ... :(

I do hold an honorary Swede passport.

Are you willing to pay for relocation?

Knäckebröd = +1 for me :D

But it would take me 1.415 km – ca. 16 uur 8 min to get to work without traffic jams!!

Do you have flexible working hours?

I think I speak for lots of gamers that we all would love to make our job from our hobby.

Open a position in marketing, sales or something. :3

jag språk svenska på dig

...?

That means: "I language Swedish on you" :rofl:

I can do all of the Technical/Infrastructure side of the job, but my programming experience is non existent other then troubleshooting.

Is it that often that you have a programmer that can do the DNS/DHCP/Infrastructure side of the house? In my experience it is two completely separate realms. Although if you guys are a small window's shop, I don't see why you can't farm this out? It might be cheaper then running a dedicated setup.

Add to the fact that I am a US citizen, and would need a sponsor.

But if the New York office needs help, I would be more then willing to help....

Visual Basic knowledge is as useful as knowing how to play an ukulele though.

Hahahahahaaha :rofl:

Anyway, I think this is a great initiative :) Sadly Im quite underage for Employment... :p
