Hi Team,
I’ve been playing Cities: Skylines 2 for over a year now, purchasing it even before the release. Despite the initial bugs and performance issues, I’ve been patient and optimistic, appreciating the potential of this game and waiting for patches to address these concerns. But now, I feel there is a limit, and I urge you to take stronger action to resolve these persistent issues.
Since your latest patch, I’ve been unable to load my saved city—something I’ve built with time and care, now the fifth or sixth attempt, as previous saves became similarly unplayable. I’ve tried every recommended step: clearing the cache, validating files, and playing without mods, yet nothing has worked. It’s both frustrating and disheartening, as the game has become less a source of relaxation and more a point of stress. This is a wonderful game with immense potential, and I have confidence it can become something truly great, but it requires more attention and consistency to reach that potential.
What I’m asking for is clearer communication on what’s being done to address these problems and an understanding of what players like me—who have supported and stayed hopeful for this game—can expect going forward. If there’s a timeline or a larger patch anticipated, please let us know. This is not just a game; for many of us, it’s a way to disconnect and relax. However, the issues make that impossible, leading to more frustration than enjoyment.
I was especially excited to try out the new creator pack to enhance my city, but now I’m left wondering if I’ll need to start from scratch again. I have a powerful PC, so I can confidently say this is not a hardware issue. Please understand the impact of these unresolved issues on dedicated players.
Thank you for your attention and consideration.
Best regards,
Ben
