How about you just uninstall the game already because based on multitude of your posts I've seen over the past few days...you're clearly NOT ENJOYING the game. UI is a nightmare...game is HIDEOUS...etc etc...It would save you a lot of frustration and it would save us a lot of face-palming by reading your cringe-worthy posts.
Pf... how about you actually PLAY the game yourselves before releasing it? The UI is a nightmare.

You don't have to read them, much less respond.
Yes, I am frustrated and disappointed with the game because it's an ealry-beta at best with tons of mistakes that could have been avoided with a proper QA and testing.

I don't deny you the right to be a fanboy/girl, and I'm not questioning your right to accept sub-par quality standards, so if playing an unfinished game with bad UI makes you happy - good for you.

In other words: you have the right to have your opinion, and I reserve the right to not give a flying F about it.

It could make a difference if it is a game breaking bug.

Platforms have different internal processes as you mentioned, but it's up for the developers to have this in mind and make sure it's released at the same time.

I imagine this is going to be a one time thing as it's new to Paradox, I have plenty of games from Game Pass from other publishers that get the patches on the same day as other PC platforms.
I disagree, the choice of distributor is in the hands of the players.

If Steam's quicker update approval process and a few days' difference are crucial to you, then consider purchasing games through Steam.

If you prefer having access to wide selection of games through Game Pass with a slower update frequency, consider buying games from Microsoft's store.

Holding developers accountable for this situation may impact their marketing,
But it's not their responsibility your vendor's choice.

I wonder if you apply the same standard for exampl to car manufacturers...

"We are aware that the brakes don't work, so for the meantime, please drive slowly, we will release a fix for that in about 6 months"...
Sorry that is a stupid comparison. If the car brakes don't work, you cannot use the car and / or it is threatening your life. CS2 working or not is not threatening your life. Also, CS2 currently works for me. Not the way I want but I see the improvements. That is all I am saying. Never said I am happy with it, never said I approve how they released it. But it is also useless to kick your garage mechanics' ass (devs) when the manufacturer board (Paradox Management) decided to deliver you a broken new car from factory.

If you don't like the game or the way it was released, don't buy it or refund it. It is the most effective way to be heard.

I work in the automobile industry, and I can say that this approach is not unique to software development. It's part of how industries evolve and improve. The car you're purchasing today is the result of numerous iterations and improvements over time.

Just look at how many warnings ( and delays! ) were available for 1st Tesla autonomous models ...

We're doing our very best to make it available on Microsoft Store as soon as possible.

Hi, I was expecting a few hours delay, now it's basically a day and still no ETA on when the MS store version will get the patch.

Please provide some ETA? Is it today? In 24hs? 48hs? A WEEK?

I really hope this is a one time thing as the team is new to the MS Store and not something that will happen every patch.
Please sync with MS to improve this for future patches so it can be release together as many other publishers that have games on different platforms do.

Thanks!

Or, delay the Steam patch so that GamePass and Steam patches are released simultaneously.

I personally think Colossal Order doesn't have control over MS needing to certify the patch updates for GamePass. There is no process to fast-track these changes. Otherwise, MS would be telling every other devs they are playing favorites, which isn't a good thing for them to do.

So, give Colossal Order some slack. They already submitted the patch, so the ball's in MS's court now.

Why would you ever want to do that? Why punishing Steam users? Just so that other users emotionally feel better? There is no sense or value in delaying a patch for a platform if it is available and improves the game.

I'll pass on that offer.

C.O's team has delivered a quick patch and fix within 48 hours to address the issue that affected 90% of their player base.

If anyone has a concern, it would be more appropriate to voice those concerns about the delays caused by Microsoft's approval process.
There's no justification for everyone having to wait for Microsoft's delivery schedules.

Then how would you solve the discrepancy between Steam and MS Store? CO can't control what MS Store will do during the certification process, and you want to keep things fair for Steam and MS Store consumers. CO did the right thing by announcing there is a delay to MS Store, and you get people asking about ETAs when MS Store doesn't give ETAs like that.

My chosen vendor is very bad, let's worsen everyone's experience to mine.

My god ...

The elitism people feel because of whatever platform they have their game from, making they FEEL THE NEED to come reply on this topic adding nothing to the discussion, it's beyond comprehension.

It's almost as ridiculous as the console-war thing.

If a COMPANY chose to distribute their product on multiple platforms, is their responsibility to treat every CUSTOMER the same way.

Period.

If this was the other way around I wouldn't be here telling the Steam customers to just "deal with it".

If you can't understand this COMPANY <> CUSTOMER relation then I have nothing else to say, maybe read a book or something.

Please if your game is already patched go play it, unsubscribe from this topic and stop posting BS here, for Gods sake.

There's nothing for C.O. to solve here, it is out of their control

Yeah its like people playing and buying games on other platforms also, they pay same price and expect same customer service. If ms store cant publish 50MB patch in few hours this clearly shows how "good" this platforms are.
People just come here and ask when they can expect actual patch to enjoy the game more on the platform they use and they dont get any official answers, not even single one. So what you expect. If this patch wont drop before weekend they get even more angry cause they have to play it in bad performance for few more days instead of enjoying it with new hotfix.

Back to topic:

Is there a designated thread where we can stay updated on:

  1. Future game development plans? ( ex. performance implementations )
  2. A list of currently acknowledged bugs that are actively being worked on?
  3. Features versus bug fixes? ( ex. no export transit )

A list of currently acknowledged bugs that are actively being worked on?
For this one, you can actually see them.

  1. Go to the CS2 Bug Reports subforum.
  2. On the right side, there is a "Filter" panel. Filter by the thread flair, "Confirmed".
  3. Click on "Apply". You have to scroll inside the panel to see the button, because the panel is pretty tall.
