Hi everyone. We have another hotfix for you today with improvements and bug fixes, see the list below for details.

Please note! With existing save games, most simulation fixes require the simulation to run for a while to take effect.

  • Increased leisure probability to balance the "No customers" situation with commercial companies
  • Improved balance of companies' profit
  • Tuned down companies ordering input resources when their storage don't have enough space
  • Fixed trade resource bug preventing some resources from being consumed
  • Fixed miscalculation in college/university eligible count
  • Improved conditions for companies to move away when bankrupt
  • Fixed a dependency error with land value causing potential instability
  • Fixed an issue where loading a new map would cause water state to get out of sync with the save data
  • Slightly increased Windows emission intensity
  • Optimizations for area lights
  • Prefer rendering small objects after large ones when possible to improve GPU performances in some cases
  • Improved shadow LOD calculations to cull irrelevant shadow casters earlier
  • Reduced situations where trees and alpha clipped objects would lead to virtual texturing space running out
  • Fixed citizens hanging around at park areas on regular building lots never getting inside the building
  • Decreased resolution of unnecessary large character textures
  • Removed Spasm radio ad (due to offensive content)
  • Added missing localization ID for Paradox account linking

Update: The patch is now live on the Microsoft Store & Game Pass as well.
Thank you for continuing to fix and update the game. Looking forward to more improvements and more streamlined CS2 game experience. One game option I’m looking forward to is being able to switch off weather effects/season change which can also help improve the game play functionality.

What I would like to see in the base game:

- metro transfer stations (crossing and parallel with one exit)
- elevated metro stations
- compact railway stations with two tracks

The ads played are based on the companies present in your city. We are looking into reports that only a few (or in your case no) ads, whether this is a bug or the system needs some tweaking.
Thanks for responding. The only other ad I've heard (other than Spasm Electronics) was for "Wafford Shoes", but again, I haven't heard that ad either since the patch. I know I have many other businesses present in my city. I may try opening my other city and see if I hear the ads there.

Nice, but I beg of you to add an option to disable the "talk show" or "news" section of the radio as they are extremely repetetive and annoying
To be fair, I've read that there's a bug that causes only a fraction of them to play, and they'd probably be a lot less irritating if all of them played instead of the same few over and over. I agree, though, I'd love to turn them off, too. At least they're informative unlike the ones in CS1.

To the devs: thanks for removing the spasm ad. Not so much that it was offensive (I suppose it was the word 'spasm' that made it inappropriate) as much as that it didn't fit the mood of the station, and also, well, I just found it really irritating. Don't think it will be missed. The one with the professor could probably be removed, too, in my humble opinion. The professor character just feels too cliche and exaggerated.

I think the colors could be brighter and not so depresive all the time, it seems like the in game world is grayed out to much. the grass texture is not that pretty to look at, there is no wild flowers or bushes growing. there is aurora but i havent seen an rainbow :p the tornado looks so unnatural. yet i enjoy the game so far and love cities skyline 2! hope you will continue to update our best game :)

MS user here, tried out the new patch yesterday. Good stuff for me, my fps increased from low twenties to mid thirties, I seem to have less stutters, and definitely have more traffic in my industrial areas. Trucks seem to be delivering goods in a meaningful way now.

Garbage is still not working right, and my specialized industries still don't export (a semi truck will spawn in full for just a blip, then vanish, over and over). My little city with a population of around 20k (held at that level for a long time now) is doing well and making tons of cash. All my demand bars are full. I do have pervasive 'high rent' issues, but I think that may be because I'm not expanding my city the way the game is intended to work. The whole city now has high land value and low unemployment, so of course CIMS will want to move in, but since I have not added housing in forever, the rents sort of have to go up. We'll see what happens, but I do not intend to grow my population any further in the interest of simulation playability on an old computer.

Add an option to disable the Chipper notification being displayed every moment, causing the game to often freeze for a short time.

Furthermore, even though city taxes are increasing, it is sometimes impossible to get money, while people who live in the city continue to request more services and expansion of the city.
Welcome to politics!! :)

Since modding is now going to be integrated into Paradox infrastructure and therefore it's an official feature of the game, I don't get why GFN and console players can't access the same functionalities for the same price.

Developers said consoles won't get mods, only assets

But it won't be a big deal, as now, on a console you could not do a city bigger than 150k people.... no meaning if they don't fix cpu bottleneck in late game

for the radio, could you make it more variety for a different situation? Economics views, Politics Views, Natural disaster and many topic to do. I think i can remember it all for now lol

As the program is improved, are there going to new hardware recommendations? I have system barely above minimum requirements and have been playing with everything thing set as low as possible. However, I'm thinking of building a newer system. I know you recommended the 6800XT as an AMD GPU, but that was before AMD had released their whole line. Would a 7800XT or a 7900 XT be the better alternative to using the 6800XT?
