Could you fix the problem that the port, airport, cargo train don't export products?

Export products like this?:

As I also documented on the corresponding bug for this in general export seems to work, it might just need some tweaking and explanation. To export goods by train the right conditions have to be met (same for planes).

From my discovery a factory starts exporting by train if...
1. it produces way more goods than are needed in the city
2. export amount exceeds what a truck can load
3. exporting using train is more economic than exporting using train → exporting small amounts by train is just too pricey it seems

For the same reason you may not see cargo being transported by ship and plane as both are even more expensive with cargo plane being in lead.

I watch this situation for a long time now - during day just 50t of goods (usually metal which I'm not producing actively) are exported, same for the night. The number increase when there is rush hour (streets and highways are blocked by vehicles so transport costs on road rise) - during these times trains are filled by goods like shown above (had up to 1kt being exported on the current, not that massive industry district I have).

Calculation if transporting with other vehicles than trucks is an option is way more complex than in C:S1 (in which only network length was a big factor - now it's costs of transport mainly)

Even my post sorting station does what it's intended to do without breaking the system as my population is above 60k and growing with some well established post offices :)

Just my two cents.

Did this patch fix underwear being outerwear and skin glitching through clothing? I'm not seeing it anymore; but it's also winter in game, so.

II was actually able to look at my cims in the new "doesn't get all blurry anymore" photomode without wincing with empathy embarrassment.

Rotate Camera Modifier option is missing in Cities Skylines 2. It only works with the middle mouse button. I hope this setting will be added to the game as soon as possible, thank you!

If you have a Logitech mouse you can use the Options Application to configure your mouse buttons per game. This way I have set the rotate button to left back button instead of middle mouse button.

Maybe they solved the problem of distance of service, rather than the capacity itself. I have cities with 4k and to make everyone, at least not sad about Education I have to build 3 or 4 schools, which it's very unrealistic. The same to clinics or police.
Yep. In real life, a city of 4k inhabitants needs about 400 elementary school student places.

there is this line in the patch notes:
  • Fixed undesired clothing variations
Not sure if that’s the fix for what you describe or something else

They said in a couple of months. If with couple, they mean two.... we'll see it in January some time.
What they actually said was
We expect it will take a couple of months to get the Editor in a shape where we can release it, but we don’t have a concrete timeline yet
So although they expect a couple of months, it could in fact slip as it already has done, reinforced by them saying the timeline is not concrete. Personally by what they have not delivered so far, and the slippage, along with them not even being able to import the assets yet, I'd be surprised if we see the AE before end of Q2 2024.

That's understandable, thank you for replying. Has it been mentioned somewhere what those targets are?
We have shared our plans and goals for performance here:

Since the patch cars use really weird paths. Before the patch cars used the green road, now they all use the red one. I tried changing the road types but it didn't change anything.

Are you still seeing this behavior after letting the simulation run for a good while? If so, the best thing to do is make a report on the bug forum and attach the save there, so we can look into why they prefer that route.

Tried that, it actually made it worse. The game now in its entirety looks like a painting :D (no matter which setting)
I'll mess around with the settings another time.
Anyway thank you. I appreciate the more detailed response.
If you continue to see this more often than before the patch, then please make a report on the bug forum so we can look into this. It may be you're just unlucky and get a trigger more often than most, but we want to make sure there are no new situations we need to take into account.

Really? I haven't plopped it even once because everyone says it's bugged so I just have post offices in my city. Any idea why people think this is bugged? Agreed on cargo btw, it's definitely working, I'd probably tweak the requirements down a bit tho, it would be fun to be able to use it with smaller amounts of cargo.

Actually yes - it might appear bugged for similar reasons the export by train seems to be bugged, you must reach a certain level of letters to be processed and for that you need a relatively high population (so some need for letters to be collected / processed / transferred).

If you are not even close to 50000 citizen the facility may collect some letters and process them but they may remain in storage until there actually is enough letters to fill TWO large trucks (letters get collected by one but are split by sorting into local mail and global mail ;) ).

If there is not enough local mail it will never get exported from the facility which may lead the system to stop working, flagging the system to be unreliable (as, you know, letters don't leave the facility on time).

So also in that case (if true, I only can judge from what I spot in my save) it's not that the system itself does not work or is broken but it also needs tweaking (like forced export after a certain amount of time for extra cost or letting local mail vans collect sorted local mail at the facility instead of waiting for a full truck ;) )

My suggestion as a player would be to have at least 50000 residents, level 5 high density office buildings and a well accepted postal service with multiple offices in place before plopping that facility - this way by now I didn't see any negative effect for around one game year now. Letters get collected, letters get sorted, letters get exported and (most important) nobody started complaining about unreliable mail service (it's +7 currently in most places).

It took me forever to build rail and sea cargo stations because everyone said they were broken, yet here I am watching them export coal, wood, paper and rock; which are not incidentally, the things my industries make the most of.
