id like to see a improved carthrage flag
ok, please choose an image from here:

shieldsag7.png

remember, to have a carthagian one, it has to have the little guy symbol in it :)

as for Aetolia and Bosphorus:

I though for Aetolia 5/3, or 6/5, or 11/6

and for the bosporans 5/1 or 9/6

tell me if you like my picks, or any other (not completely historical, but nice for the campaign)

EDIT: i swiftly created a carthage one, if you like this or its "negative", then its already finished :)

We plan on it. We will probably convert after we finish our current campaign. I know I will be getting it for sure. I want to download it today but I am afraid if I do that then once I no longer have to assign a gov'nr for every freakin province I might not want to go back to the original. This is my dilemma, but there is a very strong chance we will use Vae Victus on the next campaign. It should add a whole new dimension to Multiplayer, especially with the republics not being able to ally with who ever they choose and having to declare war on a nation when it might not be convenient. Should be very interesting.

Vae Victus Expansion

I installed the Vae Victus expansion thinking it would be similiar to other expansions by still being able to play the original. Ehhhh, wrong. And the previous saves are not compatible either. I suppose I could uninstall the whole game and go reinstall the original and the old save file might still be there, i have that option when I uninstall every other game so it should. But that would mean I would have to uninstall and reinstall this game every week. Curses. The expansion vastly improves the game, did I mention you don't have to assign a million govenors anymore?? I want you guys to post on this and tell me what you think. If we converted then yes we would have to start over, which would only really hurt Dan and me since we were about to take over the whole map. The campaign has become more than a little imbalanced with the rise of my Seleucid Monster. But I will put it to a vote, this is your campaign also. If you want to continue getting beat into the ground by the unholy alliance from hell or start over with a vastly improved game Vae Victus. And I think most of you have 9 bucks layin around somewhere. Its the equivalent to going to McDonald's and supersizing, only in this case you are improving a game that you already spend hours playing. So everyone post your opinions on the issue. Oh and the download time is like 1 minute, and the install took 30 seconds.

You could always make a copy of your unmodded, un-expanded Rome folder. Would waste a bit of space but would allow you to switch between the normal game and VV.

Having played a few hours' worth of VV, though, it's a huge improvement. I wouldn't mind switching over, especially since it helps me out of my precarious position :D

I know, I really don't want to go back to the original. The regional govenor and the different senate factions. Oh and you don't have to hold the cursor over your stability marker anymore to see your infamy, its right there on the top bar. And all that information on the province window, and its so much easier to make trade with other nations...the list goes on and on. Did you know you can assign armies to regions to fight barbs and rebels?

knowing that i can't buy the expansion for some time, my vote is for continuing this one (not to mention i wish to have a game untill the end for God's sake atleast once)

...however, if anyone is willing to buy it for me, my vote will change :p

using GamersGate since some time without having a creditcard, i know it has no risk to give people my code for my account so that they can buy things for me  (the worst that might happen is that they BUY me something :D )

the best part is that i have some games there what can this way be legally shared with the people who would like to play the purchased games

I know its unlikely that anyone of you wishes to pay for a complete stranger, so the chance that my vote changes is only 1% :)

anyway: if you buy the expansion, just copy-paste your game directory somewhere else and rename it (I renamed it from eu - rome to eu - sparta for my modding experiments  ) then you can install the expansion on the original game

you can then use both versions when you need/want to without problems, and i don't think we really have to end the game now, its still not end-date

EDIT: i know that all of those who can have the XP already are excited about it and that's fine, but please don't kill this campaign because of it

I personally couldn't stand how BORING management was in vanilla Rome, it seriously was like WOOO I GO INVADE THINGS <_< -what else is there to do?- Now I get to plot the rise and fall of factions, and set-up a character to become supreme dictator =D!
i love tribes as you can enrich them, civilize them, colonize a bit, and maybe even become a dictator (after you already became a republic)

what i miss is the decision where you wish to have your capitol, you can only manipulate this via a civil war :p

EDIT: please decide if you wish to play today with the normal vanilla game campaign untill 23:00 CET (00:30 CET is our usual gamestart) so if we don't, i can atleast get some sleep :(
I understand if you swap, even if I won't be happy with the decision

I'm putting it to a vote. I will wait to see what everybody says.

Continue As Is

As much as I'd like to try the new game (which I will eventually buy), I think we should continue the campaign as is. We've all put too much time into this, just to start over.

On to VV

I'd like to move on to VV. The current campaign is going to last only one or two more sessions anyway, unless, of course, we form the Greco-Roman-Egyptian-Carthagian Alliance. And I doubt that we are going to do that.

I know that the allmighty Atrebates Empire looks frightening, but you really don't have to ally against me :p

Well I have recieved more no's than yes's so I will unintall and reinstall the original and then meet you all in the metaserver
