I hope you are still doing this. Your work has been a great inspiration to me
Yeah I am , been doing mostly unit graphics and tech images. Takes for something so trivial a lot of time when it comes to scourging the internet for images. I can send you the final GFX result if you want. I think I have around +100 unit cards now.

Sure! I'd love to see what you've produced so far.

I've only got like, maybe 25 unit pictures, 14 unit icons. My big thing has been tech team pictures.

Apparently you've been pretty busy!

Backstory for Hellenic League. Give me your thoughts of what you think?

The Hellenic League, often simply known as Greece, is a nation composed of small city communes who by working together over the years formed strong military and economic bonds. While majority of Greece was untouched by nuclear fire that was set down by the actions of the Coalition, Axis and 4th International powers, the plague and internal conflicts that followed, ensured that no central government would be able to shape for almost 100 years. Currently, the League has its capital in New Athens, a new city on the island of Skyros, founded by each of the city-states and mainly populated by their politicians and prominent traders.

These are events that took place right after WW3 ended the world.
On the outbreak of World War III, the fledgling Hellenic State was not considered a serious threat by the Coalition, but its membership in Axis assured its being targeted by couple of missiles, nonetheless. Because of its threat level only four sites were targeted by Coalition nukes: Athens, the capital and military headquarters, Thessaloniki, headquarters of the Hellenic navy, Patra, headquarters of the Ionian fleet, and Larissa, headquarters of the Hellenic air force.

Members of the ruling party were warned of the impending strikes and managed to evacuate Athens before it was struck and moved government operations to Heraklion, on the island of Crete. A gathering order was issued for all Hellenic troops and ships not lost to gather at Crete. Several ships and planes were able to escape the strikes in the attacked areas due to advance warning and gathered at Crete, but the majority of the Hellenic military hardware in these four cities were destroyed or disabled. While the Greek government established themselves in Crete, social order began to break down throughout Greece.

In the Peloponnese peninsula a charismatic republican began speaking out, blaming the military dictatorship government for the hardships being endured by the population there. As the Hellenic forces became more organized they began to retake control of mainland Greece. Spurred by what they saw as aggression from the failed state, Nikolaos Michaloliakos and his followers declared the Delian League, after the ancient Greek alliance of the same name, and began fighting against the invading Fascist forces.

After some initial skirmishes with Delian forces, the Hellenic government decided to move up the eastern coast of Greece to try to retake easier targets and build themselves up for a fight with the united forces of League. The Hellenic pullout simply emboldened League though, with the Nikolaos Michaloliakos calling it a great victory and using it as a focal point for his propaganda. By 1988 the League encompassed nearly the entire Peloponnese peninsula and inciting the old glories of the Byzantine Empire, Nikolaos Michaloliakos began speaking of a Greece Empire in the Mediterranean. That very same year, with the support of military detachments, Nikolaos Michaloliakos carried out a coup against the Delian high command, and installed himself as Emperor of the now proclaimed Byzantium. 2 months later, the plague that had been devastating Western Europe, arrived in Greece, wiping out 3/4 of all population and putting an end to the unified Greece for the next 100 years. Now it is 2137, and for past 40 years, Hellenic League has endured as a unified nation against all external and internal threats. But new enemies have appeared at the borders and it seems that senate that has ruled with the upmost diligence is ever more failing.

It is a good idea. How about also adding Greek colonies? I mean if the majority of the Greek population escaped the nuclear war, than they could take larger territories. The Hellenic League could compose larger territories.

That is where it will start if you choose so, as unified state only was created 40 years ago, and still needed to deal alot with neglected stuff. So expansion!
So neo-byzantium? You are going to make a lot of paradoxians very happy :D
Not exactly neo-byzantium, as it only perceived for brief moment in 1988 before plague finished what nuclear war started. But I am planning events to choose to remain a semi republic or dissolve the senate. And have like Kaisereich style multi paths every play-through.

ALso because of reasons, I will need to release all map populated cause setting provinces in E3 map with = yes is way too time consumptive. So scratch my plan of map in chunks.

Yeah, I have no idea how the FODD team managed to do it with just North America.

Editing provinces to reflect some post-apocolyptic situation is going to be difficult though; there are thousands of provinces, and if you are using the WW2 E3 map, their IC and MP, plus oil and other resource values, are going to basically reflect what it was in WW2. My approach to this was to wipe all IC, MP, and resource values for every province on the map, and then using the editor fill them in with new values as I develop the map and add countries. You might want to try a similar approach.

To have only specific provinces you need to do like it is in battlescenario, set all map = no and then add individual provinces as yes ( for example 61 = yes )

What edditor or you using again? :D
As I remmember there were two different kind of province editors
For my part I have been using good old pen, paper, sweat and tears and base.inc when it came to edditing WW1 and 1871 E3 map :D

I meant to say how the FODD found the time or patience to do so. It must have taken hours to get all those provinces down.

And I'm using the map editor that came with/ is a part of "Alternative Hoi2 Editor" version 0.48.

I think I got it from a link in the useful modding tools section of this forum.

It brings up this great view of the map, which you then can use to click on individual provinces and edit their province values and also who owns it and who has cores on it.

I'll try to find it for you.

EDIT: I think I found it

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/dh-capable-data-editor.755222/

It's now at version number 0.52 or something, which may have actually fixed the horrible glitch that messes up the bases file every time you use the map editor.

EDIT 2

Here is the province.csv file you wanted, as a text file. Assuming we are using the same version of the E3 map, this should work. Note that it set all province IC, MP, and resource values to 0, and all infra values to 30%.

Partial timeline, made on the run, later will edit it.

1942 - Hitler gets assassinated
1944 - Soviet Union signs bitter peace with Germany
1945 - Reichskommissariats are disbanded and pro German puppet governments are installed.
1945 - USA drop Abomb on Japan, while Germany successfully detonates one off the coast of New York, via a submersible.
1945 - Peace is signed between Axis powers and Allies
Stuff happens involving much earlier technological breakthroughs and discoveries.
1980 - First hand held computers hit the markets
1986 - A group of some of the top Reichs officials retreat to military bases in Norway. Current Fuhrer is not amongst them.
1987 - Nuclear fires devastate the world. Nobody knows who first launched the nukes.
1988 - Unknown plague is inflicting far greater casualties then nuclear weapons ever did. Devastated world in unable to combat it.
2137 - Mod starts

So this is very rough draft. But the idea is that in 1987 , German Reich was undergoing political shifts that didnt suit with some of the more radical elements of the NSDP, who thought that Germany had lost its way. So they went in hiding, engineered final solution to everything, and helped push the world to a nuclear breaking point. Hence why there is New Reich in Norway, that would act as poor mans Enclave in my mod. This also serves as excuse for having places like Africa to be still devastated in the timeline and not be super OP

I desagree, what about a partial reform? Reichkomissariat Ostland and the generalgouvernment Polen continue, but A pro German Russia, Caucasia and ukraine are estabilished?

I am going in lore with disbandment of Reichkomissariats as per some plans that were drafted prior to Barbarossa. It was mostly in regards of buffer states , so Poland wasnt included.

Btw it is not final, just some thoughts.
I could as well go with this:

''In a memorandum sent to Rosenberg in March 1942, Nazi anthropologist Otto Reche argued for the disappearance of 'Russia' both as an ethnic and political concept, and the promotion of a new plethora of ethnicities based on medieval Slavic tribes such as the Vyatichs and Severians''

Kind of like Crusader Kings 2 all over again

So at least keep reichkommissariat ostland, they can be a new teutonic state

Just thought about a country, that you could add if you like: Order of the White Falcon. It would be a successor to the KKK movement with a Grand Master, which could have been tremendously influenced by the victorious Reich.
