This is what a single child of destiny in Tibet can get you. Note the date.

It's just like life I suppose. One minute you're minding your own business in some temple somewhere, the next you're leading a horde of tibetans into mesopotamia and destroying the house of wisdom 400 years early,

Decided to just capture it here since the guy is like a billion years old and gonna die soon anyway.

Looking forward to a significant portion of the world's population being ruled by my lunatic son.

How do you get the Dalai Lama title?

Still not finished with the game. Last time I posted, I also had a female ruler, though that one was more awesome, but this one has quite the health traits.

I started with going for "The Conqueror" achievement (long done), now if all goes well I'm two generations short of "History in my Blood". I'm not sure if I can think of a goal after that, though.

This is kind of a special case, at least for me.

This is a 769 game (my first Fylkir playthrough) in which I'm trying to reverse history's course by having the reformed Germanics beat back and drive out the Christians. After leading campaigns to take Britannia and Italia, Catholicism is pretty much broken, so I regarded this 'first phase' of super-driven expansion as complete, and was content to let each of the other two empires govern themselves, settling back in my custom empire of Sweden to only command them in the capacity of their religious head.

Obviously not the 'optimal' play, it just seemed like a neat idea, to set up these new Germanic states and let them loose.

Why are you secretly tengri? :p

Why are you secretly tengri? :p

This character had such a 'nice' portrait I decided to make her as much of a menace as possible. Demon worshippers, secret religion, whatever seems fun at the time.

I'm honestly not sure where all the Tengrism came from but they managed to take over the Arabian empire, which then underwent grand conversion to Hinduism, so, having a normal one.

This is my second time playing this mod.
I started as a custom apostolic count of Long Island and ended up with the formidable Empire of Atlantica. When I stopped playing in this save at 2966, the borders of the empire were pretty much the same as in this screenshot, with the exception Michigan, that I have entirely annexed, and of Cuba, and therefore my territories in Yucatan, who became independent. In this meantime, I had lost the Imperial Throne, reconquered it from the usurper dynasty 30 years later and forced the claim of a member of my family as Emperor of the Holy Columbian Confederacy. Also the Empire of Aztlan has collapsed to Japanese, Mexican and Texan invasions, a catholic Rust Empire was formed in the regions of the Great Lakes I didn't controlled, as well as a Cascadian Empire north of California.
After a age of petty kingdoms, North America entered into a age of empires.
(the fact I didn't held Boston was to try to avoid being the target of a Redcoat Invasion)

Here is my Empire of New California, led by Richard "the Great" of the House of Woz, ruling from the new Imperial City of San Francisco. Only by the grace of Tsar Bomba was this feat achieved.

Getting back into CK2, picking up my game in the After the End mod:
4AGYwlt.jpg

Main storyline in-game at the moment is the old guard from the time of the previous emperor dying in fairly quick succession, could be technically considered old guard as well at the age of 52.

Other major storyline of the past few times I've played is the destruction of the Kingdom of Deitscherei, at one time a major threat to my realm. Ended with a whimper after Nicholas' mother Cynthia invaded about a decade ago, then literally all their remaining neighbors dog-piled onto their corpse to pick away at the remnants.

Currently ruling from Wilmington is Nicholas Derren, First of His Name of the Delawarean Empire, Second of His Name of the Kingdom of Maryland. Paranoid and deceitful; but also strong, brave, just, and kind. Married to his cousin Melody, age 53.
Their children and grandchildren:
  1. Ashley, 32, current heir presumptive. Lazy, stubborn, and arbitrary; but also strong, honest, and patient. Married to Elfego Loving of Sarnia.
    -Franklin, 10. Willful and idolizer.
    -Christian, 6. Unremarkable.
    -Keith, 1. Unremarkable.
  2. Susan, 26, commonly called 'the Unfaithful'. Kind, charitable, and content. Married to Clayton de Flower Mound
    -Aston, 8. Conscientious.
    -Bevil, 3. Unremarkable.
-Melody Wilmington, her baseborn daughter by an unknown father, 1.
  3. Laura, 11. Indolent, but also affectionate and playful.
Title history of the empire:
Melanie I (1/23/2733-9/18/2735)
Cynthia I 'the Magnificent' (9/18/2735-12/23/2765)
Nicholas I (12/23/2765-CURRENT)

- who the hell kow tows to China when they have Emperor title, let alone 450k troops... bleh. Disgusting.
Considering i own china aswell its basically visiting my brother in that game (also to steal some items) i have nothing to do in that savegame since no1 dares rebel against me and its 0 independent states left

- still, you are the one who installed him on the throne, it is him who should visit you, not the other way around.;)

I also kowtow to China. Why wouldn't I?
- really, its just its a matter of RP'ish selfrespect for me. If im strong enough i never ever kow tow to China.

Your approach to the game is a bit different to mine. You seem to get great enjoyment out of projecting power and asserting yourself vis-a-vis your computer opponents. I'm not too concerned about it. :)

By the way, if you do find a way to make the Chinese emperor come kowtow to the player then please let us know. :p

My Zunist Empire with an awful HRE-color.
I first created a kingdom spanning from Indus river to Esfahan. And then I stopped waging external wars. Except of course when defending against Crusades and Jihads.
My vassals alone conquered Arabia, India, Tibet and then some more. Got a little troublesome for them to face the Chinese, Greeks and Germans, so the borders remained as such for quite a while.

I didn't bother with wars, because I was testing out a mod I'm in the process of making. Way of Life Plus mod so far adds a hundred events, and I only touched Rulership and Intrigue focuses.
(blatant self-promotion)

I should add, this is a Reformed Zunist empire, where my character is literally considered a god. So, that was a blast.

Quick update:

The Children's Crusade marched on Jerusalem, but they only targeted a small Ikhshidid revolt. The Crusade won, leaving a tiny city-state of children. So, I made it a tributary state. Then the Pope called for a crusade for the entire kingdom, won, and handed it to the present Catholic King of Jerusalem, my tributary. And so...

Thanks, Pope!

So, quick update on the Sultanate of Antioch:

The boy king of Jerusalem grew up, became impossible to manage, and inherited Francia. Sounds dire, right? Yeah, we kinda hate each other. But then the Fourth Crusade went off, and Byzantium collapsed, the Latin Empire formed, and it was suddenly a mad scramble by all of us for Anatolia. Now, I just went for the main prize of Thrace. Turns out, those Fourth Crusaders were really big on the expansionist and bloodthirsty side, but not quite so big on the Jesus as their personal Savior thing. So after my guys took Thrace, they all decided to just convert to Islam and keep on conquering from there! So hey, why not, form the Empire of Antioch on the bones of Byzantium and keep on going!

So now I've got folks like Tornik Karling and Adémar the Just taking over Bulgaria and Wallachia while I absorb Greece, insh'Allah, giving me time to keep paying the Pope a visit and see what fine treasures Christendom sent him these last few years.

Biggest problem, is that now every single crusade is for Thrace from here on out, and I've been fighting this most recent one for seven years. It's getting old. C'mon, guys.
