There are like 5 or 6, depending on how you interpret conquest. Good job on this one though, I found it a fun run when I did it, though I stopped once I was done with the achievement.
Indeed, you're right. I looked through the achievement list more carefully and found 4 more. Portugal, Dai Viet, Dahomey and even The Ottomans have conquest or expansion related achievements with 1500 deadline.

My 92nd EUIV run: Cuzco -> Inca.

This is my 1st run in South America and what better choice could have been than doing it with Cuzco -> Inca? Obviously, Muisca or some non-Andean minors could have been contenders, too, if they had received some content, but it is what it is.

The run was very easy, I conquered all other Andean states by 1465 (except for Muisca) and then just awaited the Europeans to arrive. I was attacked by Portugal, but they only sent a few units and it was just a waiting game until I could make peace with huge reperations from them. It was the only time someone declared war on me.

After reforming my religion, the gold that I had made me super rich and helped me to support a huge army and build up my country. In the early 1700s I was able to become an Economic Hegemon.

Ethiopia has moved to West Africa lol.

Hisn Kafya into Ayubiyyid achi into Persia to complete its stupid, stupid mission tree.

Such wonderful missions as:

50% income from trade (sabotage your nation)

Insane influence for estates (have to give out 90% of all possible priviliges)

Have to conquest Beijing, Naijing and Canton because the AI is too stupid to take all of them (you need ONE ally to hold all of them or hold them yourself, allying all holders dosent count)

Deal with the completly broken persian influence mechanic (if you have like any provinces that arent of an accepted culture, enjoy sitting at 0 influence)

Needing Greek islands for the "Drive turks from Anatolia mission".

Not that fun.

I noticed that Orissa was very trade heavy with all their trade and goods produced modifiers so I decided I would play them I think they're the last Indian nation I haven't played yet that isn't a super small one. It was fun enough until I had to stage proxy wars every single time i wanted to conquer anything because Gurkani became Defender of the Faith and needed to declare another war along side so I could get them in. Thankfully I had used the Timurids as a defense blob early on so when they turned into the Middle East demon and had double the troops of the Ottomans I was able to manage it. Or I don't think it would have been possible to expand as much as i did. Sometimes I hate that they fixed the AI never being a defender lol.

Allies: Gurkani, Ayuthaya, Khmer

And it's a rare Scotland, Spain had Military Hegemony but Spain AI is terrible at defending itself because its troops are always in the new world so they got slapped down by France.

After that previously irritating campaign I wanted to play something with a little more flavor so I picked Burgundy again. The start was pretty cursed AI wise England somehow lost a war to Munster and Scotland and got full occupied so I was able to get a foothold by allying Munster and protecting them so for the first time ever AI Ireland made it's first appearance. Burgundy's bonus dip slots makes for a crazy alliance chain I maxed out at 11 slots so I was able to ally basically everyone that had any strength for my campaign.

Allies: Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Austria, Brandenburg, Palatinate, Geneva, Cologne, Sweden, Poland

This one got really fun after I finally found some traction against the Commonwealth and their Swedish lapdogs. I allied with Spain who ended up PU'ing Hungary and helping immensely in the grand endeavor. Funnily, once I completed Offensive and Quality idea groups I was able to melt through hordes of Russians with ease, and looked cool doing it. You know that the dominant culture in Gothia is Crimean Goth. It was Abbasids who formed Arabia and Naples who formed Italy. I could have expanded more, but what's the point when I'm already making ducats hand over fist from playing tall (I had good luck with ruler stats). Enjoy.

My 93rd EUIV run: Oman -> Zanzibar.

Oman has been a tag that I had wanted to play for a long time. It was a big dissapointment that it wasn't updated with the King of Kings Immersion Pack, but Winds of Change, luckily, corrected that mistake.

While Oman is known for its naval and colonial gameplay, it starts as a landlocked country surrounded by much stronger Hormuz and OMP Liwa. To alter the situation I had to act fast, so I recruited the Free Company and declared war on Hormuz in January, before it gets any allies besides Liwa. It was a hard fought war, but I managed to annex Liwa and leave Hormuz as an OPM.

After I had finished the war, I noticed that Mushasha is attacking Haasa, so before it annex it fully, I managed to snatch Qatar and Bahrain from it.

The next big threat was the Mamluks, they were eating up Arabian minors one by one and it would only be a matter of time, when they decide to come after me. Luckily, I managed to secure an alliance with the Ottomans and Ajam. Now that I was sure that no one would attack me, I could slowly start expanding in India, take over Mahra and gain footholds in East Africa.

Since money hasn't been a problem since the conquest of Hormuz, I was able to charter a company from Pate. Later on, I landed all my forces there and started my conquest of Swahili coast with Pate itself and Mombasa. After that Kilwa followed.

Eventually, my territories in East Africa became even more important than Oman and Mascat, I even moved my capital to Zanzibar.

I do enjoy the French playthrough as it stands now it lets you cut through some of the really tough AE modifiers in Italy pretty easily with all of the Reconquest cores that Provence gets on Naples if they're your PU. Started out with alliances with Scotland and Castille but when I stack wiped England which was an unexpectedly tough Hundred Years War. Scotland attacked England while I was still at war with them and conquered half the country I managed to get a foothold in England but didn't manage to take much overall before they were fully annexed by Scotland.

Scotland managed to develop three different colonies and laid the groundwork for me to break the alliance with Spain when Spain attacked Scotland to try and get the Scottish colonies but I decided to defend my Historical Friend and took out Spain. Somehow I managed to get a PU over Scotland and was able to vassalize Spain after they ended up becoming an Austrian PU. Basically a good way to conquer the New World, let your friends and enemies do it all for you lol.

While I'm not finished by a long shot, my current Brabant into Netherlands run has some fun things that makes me want to show it off.

Playing tall, Netherlands style. I can't fit all my colonies and trade companies into one screenshot. Both Printing Press and Global Trade have spawned in my lands.

Interesting things happening in the wider world:

Ottomans, what are you doing?

1723993321484.png

Brittany, Sligo, Burgundy, Teutonic Order, Livonian Order, Riga, Glogow, Moldavia, Perugia - all still exist in 1600. HRE has bounced from Austria to Hesse, who held it for a long time, to Landshut for a short while, and currently is held by Brandenburg. Avignon is an independent OPM allied to Spain. England is weak, primed for me to PU them.

1723993781316.png

Adal has formed Somalia, VJ and Bahmanis are still more or less balanced, Japan has formed but Hosokawa recently took Kyoto from them. Scotland and Denmark - my allies - have colonized a fair bit in North America (which means I'll have to turn on them at some point).

And finally the Mughals culture assimilator :

That one was annoying because you'll own 99% of a culture and struggle to understand some island got colonized and annexed by Giga-Spain (who got a PU on France super early). I also lost Steam connection / Iron Man status 5min after completing the achievement for some reason so that was fun as well.
But overall yeah Mughals is op

My 94th EUIV run: Hisn Kayfa -> Ayyubids.

Hisn Kayfa is probably one the hardest starts in the Middle East, especially, when Aq Qoyunlu allies the Ottomans even after like 10 restarts. I had to accept the situation and find a solution to the problem. I managed to ally Ajam and the Ottomans myself, too. While I was unable to attack Aq Qoyunlu at first, I attacked Qara Qoyunlu instead and got the Ottomans in by promising them land, since they didn't have a border with them, I couldn't give them anything anyways. I was able to get 4 provinces (Bitlis, Sinjar, Mosul and Arbil) for myself.

The problem with the Ottoman Aq Qoyunlu alliance was solved a few years later, the Ottomans were in dept, with war exhaustion and at war with Byzantium, so they refused to help their ally. Aq Qoyunlu only had 4k units for some reason, so it was a very easy war and I fully annexed them.

Next up was Dulkadir, but I couldn't fully annex them, otherwise the Ottomans would break the alliance with me and I couldn't afford that yet, because I needed them to help me against the Mamluks and Qara Qoyunlu again. In my first war with the Mamluks, I annexed their vassal Syria. By 1500 I already had conquered Baghdad and all of Levant. And then the Ottomans became hostile towards me, but they already had served their purpose. I could easily deal with the Mamluks on my own now and I attacked the Ottomans together with my new ally - Poland, while they were busy with Karaman and its allies.

I continued to fight the Ottomans and Mamluks until I restored the former borders (and a little bit more) of the Ayyubid Empire and brought it back to its former glory.

Honestly this run overstayed its welcome. You would think you only need to complete the "religious" branch of the tree, but nah, you need 100 provinces in India etc with the main branch.

My 95th EUIV run: Lithuania.

Lithuania starts as one of the largest countries in Europe and it has already reached its historical peak, but it didn't stop me from making Lithuania even greater.

I rejected the Union with Poland and prepared for my own war with them. It was a hard fought war, I ran out of manpower and took some loans, but I emerged victorious.

My next war was with Livonia, Riga and the Teutonic Order, my main rivals, who have subdued my Baltic brothers. While I didn't take anything from the Teutons, I annexed Riga and left the Livonian Order with just 3 provinces in Estonia. I returned to the Teutons much later, actually too late, because they had joined the HRE and I had to fight Austria at first and later on Protestant Brandenburg.

Next up was Crimea, luckily, it didn't fall under the Ottomans, so it was an easy target.

After that I took a long pause without direct expansion and built up my country and helped out my allies like Novgorod and Venice. I actually helped Novgorod too much, they formed Russia and then rivaled me. It was the time, when I started to expand into Russia by taking Novgorod's and Muscovy's core territory.

While the mission tree of Lithuania was kind of small, it was really great, especially since I could become an Economical hegemon by just making 500 ducats a month.

It's awesome to see you're excited about the game release and already prepping! Getting familiar with the features and hotkeys beforehand is a smart move.

You're right about Europa Universalis IV (EU4)—the default hotkeys for taking screenshots are F11 and F12, and they automatically save to your screenshot folder. You can find them by going to Documents > Paradox Interactive > Europa Universalis IV > Screenshots on your computer.

Additionally, pressing F10 in EU4 brings up the in-game map, which you can save as a file by hitting F12. If you'd like to customize the hotkeys for screenshots or maps, just head over to the "Controls" tab in the game's options menu.

I hope this helps you capture some amazing moments and maps in EU4. Have fun with the game!

My first time playing Poland since they got new missions. I played until 1810 just to get the Poland can into space achievement which I'd never bothered to get before, kinda got bored toward the end but it was a fun, chill campaign since my PUs did most of the work. Got Lithuania by event and Bohemia by royal marrying them at the start then claiming the throne since they got my dynasty, then forced PU on Hungary by mission. Got the BI, disbanded the HRE, and ended up keeping them around and feeding them the Low Countries and half of France. Lucked out on getting an uncontested Austria PU fairly early, then Sweden from the mission tree; and late game I contested Spain for the Portuguese throne, fighting Spain & their ally Great Britain plus their colonies. After I beat Spain, they somehow got occupied by Brunei who forced to release Catalonia. Portugal has Rio Da Prata, Brazil, Peru, Caraibas and Australia, I stole Colombia from the French. Other fun occurrences were the United States being conquered by an independent Canada and Mexico, and China going revolutionary.

I normally don't play with cavalry but I boosted their combat ability through ideas and policies and they were incredibly strong, I was trying for clean borders but central Europe is a mess.

My 96th EUIV run: Tiwi.

This is my first run with Native Australians. I expected the campaign to be boring and dull, but it actually was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot! While it was a really long wait for the Europeans (Portuguese) to arrive, I spent my time by getting used to the mechanics and reading about Tiwi and Alcheringa religion.

As soon as I reformed, Portugal attacked me in a few months. Luckily, they only sent a few thousand units and the rest, like 10 years, was of me waiting for them to accept a peace deal, where I take their colonies and war reparations, so I could build up my country and prepare to start my expansion in the Moluccas!

Since I had unlocked Baiame cult, I gained a colonist and didn't have to take Exploration ideas. I started with colonising Timor and Ambon. From there my first non-Australian conquest happened, I annexed Bali (they had colonised 2 neighbouring islands) and Makassar.

After that I gradually expanded my influence in the Moluccas and even managed to become an Economical hegemon in the Age of Revolutions.
