They could try and do a procedurally generated fantasy pausable real-time grand strategy 4X instead (like Stellaris in the sci-fi genre).

As someone whose heart was broken three or four times by random world generator projects being abandoned, I would love to see that.

Has anyone connected this yet;
Tiberius- The 2nd Roman Emperor
Caligula- The 3rd Roman Emperor
Titus- First Roman Emperor to follow his father directly (the first of his kind).
Thus if we are to be semi-reasonable it would follow suit that these names tease their placement in a series. Tiberius and Caligula being successor projects and Titus being a new IP.

We also know that Chris King, the brain man behinde V2, is working on a secret project which I would bet is Project Caligula. (Make of that what you will). His project also is taking on a large budget, as we heard about in the financial report stream last week.

In addition, Jon Shafer just left and the project heb was leading was canned (Titus, more than likely). So I doubt we will hear much about ol Titus ever again.

Just some food for thought; this struck me just now and thought I'd share it to stir the rumor mills!;)

White Wolf was purchased by Paradox.

Yeh but was it purchased by PDS or PDX?

AFAIK White Wolf is under PI, not PDS. So technically White Wolf and PDS are separate. Does that mean World of Darkness can't be used by PDS? I doubt so, seeing it's the same company, but it makes little sense for PDS to develop another studios' IP, especially if the studio is still there.

Of course, that happens all the time. Like with Tomb Raider. And many more.

White wolf isn't really a video game dev company, they have never developed their own game in house, the two video games they have developed were made by Troika (Bloodlines) and Nhilistic software (Redemption), both published by Activision. Likewise, PI is the publishing arm while PDS is the production arm. They could also source out to someone else like they did with Werewolf (to Focus), another WoD property.

I hope it's Rome 2. While I have haven't agreed with all the changes Paradox has made with their game series since then, overall I feel they've gotten a lot better. It's one of those games where I would even support a whole lot of DLC since there's just so much room to build on that time period. Go back to Alexander and his successors or forward to the crises that plagued Rome. Not mention the different governments of the period if done properly could create an unheard of amount of replay value.

Paradox probably trolling us.

Project Hadrian was probably sending the intern on the lunch run.

Paradox knows how much power they have over us and enjoy it.

"Hey did you guys get that trapped bird out of the office?"
"That project was completed."
"You announced the project name on twitter didn't you?"
"...yes"
