It never was an option on my table... the rule of the House of Savoy was legitimized by the 1848 Albertine Statute which established the Kingdom as a constitutional monarchy. On the monarchist side, there was no plan whatsoever to withdraw it, as far as I know. VEIII was not interested in day-to-day politics, anyway.

In this new scenario, you can play as Italy, Greece or United Kingdom. The goal of the Italians is to conquer Athens by the end of 1940, while the Greeks must defend their homeland at all costs; the British can use their RN and RAF assets to harass the Italian forces in their advance, and they can also target the Italian fleet in Taranto. The OOBs are as accurate as possible, down to the officers in command: I added a few leaders to Italy and Greece, but some still have no picture.
This update also includes a few additions and fixes to the main campaign as well.
Let me know if you like this scenario and if you find any bugs or anything that could be improved. Have fun!

I might be able to rustle something up. What do you have in mind as far as descriptions go?
Thank you! The descriptions should briefly illustrate the political and military situation of each of these countries from the fall of Tunisia and the 1st july 1943 (the scenario start date). In particular, since I want to include the beginning of Operation Achse (scenario ends on 8th september 1943), you might want to mention the unreliability of the Italian leadership due to the bad military and social situation, and the plans of Germany to assume control of the peninsula.
Also, a few quotes of leaders or generals about the invasion of Italy could add some flavour (other than the old "soft underbelly of Europe" by Churchill).
Impressive and massive work on the Italy project you have here. I haves started to work on a Italian Republic project that democratic and communist nation can liberates I would link it to RSI so that FA nations can only liberate RSI and ITA(kingdom.of.italy).

They became brig. generals in the 50s/60s. Giuseppe Izzo should be a tech team as well (paratrooper specialist). De Martini could be an intelligence minister (Political Specialist).
They should be Armament Ministers.

The Husky scenario is 80% done. Only minor graphic elements are needed. This is a totally new scenario, i.e. it's not based on the Husky scenario from HoI2.
The OOBs are as correct as possible, however some compromises had to be made due to the abstraction level of the game.
The navy and air force OOBs of USA and ENG could contain some inaccuracies. Maybe someone could give me advice (see attached files)?

At the beginning of 1943, Italy was facing defeat. The collapse of the African front on 4 November 1942 and the fall of Tunis on 13 May 1943 exposed Italy to an invasion of the Allied forces. On 11 June 1943, the Allies captured the small island of Pantelleria, the first part of Italy to be lost. An Allied invasion of Sicily, Sardinia or Corsica was now imminent. Having lost the best of the soldiers and equipment on distant battlefields, Italy needed German military aid to defend its home territory. However, the heavy bombings of the cities and the lack of food and fuel demoralized the population, the majority of whom wanted to end the war and denounce the alliance with Germany. On 24 June, Italy's Duce, Benito Mussolini, knowing that his navy and air force could not stop the invaders at sea before they came ashore, gave the following speech: ‘If the enemy tries to disembark it is most likely that he will be ground to a halt at what sailors call the waterline, the line in the sand where the sea ends and dry land begins. If by any chance they penetrate any further, our reserve forces—which exist—will fall on those that have been able to disembark, and destroy them to the last man. So it can be said that they will have occupied part of our fatherland, but they will do so after having been laid out dead, not standing up.’ Mussolini was aware that a successful invasion would topple his regime and put Italy out of the war.

With the conquest of Tunis on 13 May 1943, the Americans and British and their Allies had won the war in North Africa. This success paved the road for a major offensive against the Axis across the Mediterranean. Sicily was selected as the next Allied target in the Mediterranean on the ground that its conquest would relieve some of the pressure on the Russian front and help knock Italy out of the war. In British eyes, Sicily would be the first step to gain control of Italy, which would enable the Allies to dominate the Mediterranean sea-lanes and would also decide how military operations in Southern Europe could develop: this in turn would dictate the postwar map of the northern Mediterranean. The Americans were instead reluctant to detract in any way from the ultimate invasion of Northern France, however a campaign in Italy was a profitable way to employ troops already in North Africa to tie down German forces and keep them away from France. The invasion of Sicily, codenamed Operation Husky, was to be a combined amphibious and airborne attack carried out by the 15th Army Group under the supreme command of General Alexander. The components were Montgomery’s British Eight Army and the U.S. Seventh Army commanded by Patton, with the U.S. Fifth Army kept in reserve for any follow-up operation. Winston Churchill called Italy ‘the underbelly of Europe’, but how soft would it turn out to be?
Currently, the scenario starts on 1 july 1943 and ends on 8 september 1943, that is the date of the OTL armistice between Italy and the Allies). It doesn't include the armistice event itself and the occupation of Italy by Germany. However, I wonder if I should include the armistice event with the dissolution of the Italian forces (game over for ITA) and a few weeks of Germany alone vs the Allies, with an end date at the end of september 1943. What do you think?

The main addition is the Husky battlescenario, featuring accurate OOBs with all the historical commanders for the four countries involved (ITA, GER, USA, ENG), custom graphics for each event, and two historical speeches about the Italian surrender: the Italian radio broadcast and the Roosevelt speech.

A the moment, the latest release is pretty solid. The implementation of Husky scenario was a big effort!
Due to the lack of free time, I will only be adding new pictures for leaders from time to time.
However, I'm thinking about the following additions:
- a puppet Italian North Africa and/or a puppet Italian Egypt to be release in case of victory
- leaders for Somalia
- Desert Fox scenario (unlikely, due to the enormous amount of work it would require)

Your mod description mentions alternate events for the grand campaign. I was wondering if among those we can see things like Italy declaring war on Germany in 1934 or in 1938 over Austria (years for first attempted Anschluss and proper Anschluss) and/or if there are paths for choosing neutrality in WWII.
