Hi, I tried a LAN game yersterday in 1.04b, but the save cannot be loaded by the joining player : it keeps compressing and transfering several times.

This is new thing beta patch, as we never have had similiar issues in 1.04a or before.

According to him, he made no changes that should in any way alter the way MP works, so he suggests that you either have a faulty installation of some sort (in which case, reinstall and repatch) or there's some sort of issue with one of the computers having f/w setting that aren't working correctly.
CK uses ports 2300-2400, 28800-29000 and 47400-47700
Also, if one of you has recently upgraded to WinXP SP2 then you could have issues that stem from the new firewall that they've integrated into the OS (I had problems with that myself) so you may need to tweak the settings to allow CK as an exclusion to the f/w.
If anyone else with the beat patch is having issues with MP save game transfer, please let me know and I'll delve into it further.
