I really appreciate politeness.

My statement, in its essence, is that it would be complicated to un-announce and refund part of a product package (the DLCs) while another part of the package (the base game) has already been released and sold.

What would you do if you were PDX? And what would the different players think about your decision?

What would you do if you were PDX? And what would the different players think about your decision?

If I were PDX I would comply with the consumer laws and I wouldn't sell products with fake delivery dates. As for what the different players think, I have no idea because I'm only one person, not 1,7 million players. What I can guess, though, is that the "keep my money and don't give me anything in exchange, I don't care" mentality is only a minority, as very few people like to be scammed.

Base version of hundreds of games can be upgraded to some deluxe version. Downgrading a deluxe version is no more complicated.
