The rewards for an AAR will be scaled based on the year we end. AAR's should at least be around 20 lines of continous text, gm's reserves the rigth to decrease the amount given or even not give anything if they consider the AAR to not fit theese criteria.

So i can get 600 gold by now with 2 scaled stategifts? Wow...

Being of English, Scottish and Irish ethnicity, I thought it only fitting that I should have a kingdom composed of English, Scottish and Irish. My first move was to offer a vassalage to the Irish. They were at first hesitant, but when I mentioned I would soon be constructing four grog refineries, and that as my vassals they would definitely get a good share of it, they happily became my subjects.

Next was Scotland, but the Scottish king had just recently watched braveheart, and said that he would never give up his "freeeeeeedooommm"! He said it just like that. Having read a little of the history though, I knew that the hollywood version, where English soldiers were depicted as basically imperialist pansies and were unable to win any pitched battles against the scots, was untrue, and that I did infact have a shot at winning.

When an opportunity arose to fight them without losing stab, Norfolk deployed and soundly defeated the Scottish army, disabusing everyone of the myth Mel Gibson fought so hard to create. The Scots thereafter became my loyal vassals.

We had a civil war. There wasn't really any fighting, so we called it the cold civil war. RR was high, so I couldn't invade any other countries. I just hung around and built refineries, got a weapons manu, teched infra. Used war as an excuse to tax my citizens now and then. I spend their money for the betterment of the kingdom, and it eventually trickles back down to them, so I don't feel bad about it.

Then I realized that being Anglo-Saxon, my roots went as far back as the land of the ancient Saxons. I needed to unite part of Northwestern Germany to me before I would be able to truly identify with my country. So, I launched an invasion of Brandenburg. Sadly, the session ended at about this time, and so I was unable to follow it up with a victory. But, next week, victory is mine  .

Oh, I also prevented Austria from losing the Low Countries, in exchange for the northern section, the Dutch provs, whenever Burgundy was annexed. However, at this point in time, he has reneged on our agreement, even after I generously gave him an extra few years holding them so that we could do it via edit. He says I never specified an exact date, so he says he'll do it in 50 years when they go reformed, which is utter BS.

What this is is trouble for Austria. I saved their asses before. Now besides refusing to pay me for my service, the archduke doesn't even acknoledge the service, saying that HIS actions convinced the French to leave Burgundy alone. Which included what? Losing an army or two to Richmont?

The English King may be making a side trip with his army to the Low Countries soon. That, or he will be waiting in the wings for an opportunity to arise, when Austria will be under seige by one or more of its neighbors. The loss of prestige and wealth suffered by the English crown will simply not be unavenged.

The Archduke has until the start of the next session to apologize for his many faux pas' and authorize the edit of the four northern dutch provs to England, or there will be casus belli against Austria for at least as long as it holds these provinces and pays back whatever income I have lost from lacking their possession.

Pff, take your empty threats elsewhere KJ, since you are only good at making em, and not at putting them to use.

I am fairly sure that if you went to war against them you will not have to face austria alone. Do i need to be more specific? ;)

Spanish AAr 1453-1488

The Conquests of Álvaro de Luna

1453. Castile. A weak, unstable and decadent realm. With a King that was totaly impotent. Both in terms of power as well as in terms of "reproduction". Both things were destined to change (not the King's impotence though!). For the best, of course. And who was the one to change it all? No one other then myself. God entrusted me with that task.

First of, Álvaro de Luna, an experienced fighter during the civil war some decades earlier, was sent to fight the Aragonese Coalition, composed of Navarra-Armagnac-Naples and Aragon itself. Countless victories are achieved, and all castles are taken. All of their territory is pillaged, men are killed, women are raped and children are sold to the Turks as slaves (or to England as sex machines).

Álvaro de Luna, the Constable

The process took about 15 years, and killed about 10% of the entire population, but it contributed vastly to the Castilian economy. 5000 gold coins were amassed at only 2% inflation. A new pillaging record? At least, my personal record. The world's finest and earliest refineries were thus built. Forests were cut down. Galleys were built. Territories both in Iberia and Italy were conquered and Navarra vassalized in the end. It also contributed to "modernize" the Castilian Technology. Despite our decentralization and stubborness. And even so i am teching faster then anyone else apart from England - but that is only for the fact they are totaly centralized and inovative, so its meaningless to me.

Hugo Chavez, the First Spanish Prime Minister

Enrique finally died. Poof. Isabella then decided to marry Ferdinand of Aragon, currently a vassal of Castile, instead of the French King. Poor French King... Abandoned by Isabella and having Mary of Burgundy married to Maximilian of Austria, all at the same time. Is the French King that ugly that no women feels atracted? Hell, even Anne of Brittany didnt want to marry with him. But finally he acted like a man and dragged her to the altar by force. Women are needed to be kept in check, anyway... As Machiavelli himself said "Fortune is a woman, and to control it, you must strike her and beat her down."

With such a large realm, and busy with her "duties" of Queen with her husband, Isabella nominated Hugo Chavez, Minister of Spain. Chavez's first action was to get rid of the infidels in Granada, and at last, unite Iberia, by conquering Portugal. Portugal handed over most of its provinces, thanks to the great leadership of Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba, later named El Gran Capitan (The Great Captain) for his talent. Navarra was so amazed at such efficiency that it decided to join our ilustrous empire. Ferdinand of Aragon decided to make what was left of his kingdom, part of Spain, as well.

Fernández de Córdoba, El Gran Capitan

However we feared that a certain Northern Pig could vassalize Portugal and make my life a bit harder then it already was, so i decided to re-dow Portugal quickly and vassalize them before he could get that as an idea. Stability went down right into hell, but damn, who cares? Torquemada soon apeared and killed a couple of Moors and made everyone a bit happier. Yay!

The biggest problem however apeared when Columbus showed up. Chavez decided to state a couple of things, saying that Columbus was Portuguese, and not Italian as certain Papists like to say, however the English monarch didnt like that, to which he quickly replied, in very bad Spanish "¿POR QUE NO TE CALLAS?" (translation: Why dont you shut up?). Chavez was mad once he heard this. Very mad. It is rumored that people saw smoke coming out of Chavez's head. But no one tells Chavez to shut up. Or he will do worse.

Chavez's Speech

And in fact he did. Back in Madrid, he decided to gather all the peasants together and make a speech to them regarding the King of England (Henry VII himself) and his current war with Bradenburg. It is worth saying that he calls the King of England "Mr Danger". After all, that is what he is. A threat to every living being walking the earth. A walking Danger. And so the speech began with him saying:

"You have messed with me, birdie. You have messed with me, birdie. No? You dont know much about history. You dont know much about anything, you know? (comment: after all the English Monarch found the proofs that stated that Columbus was Portuguese, non-sense). A great ignorance is what you have got. You are an ignorant, Mr Danger. You are an ignorant. You are a donkey, Mr Danger. You are a donkey, Mr Danger." ----- the population aplauds.

"You are a coward. You know? You are a coward. Why dont you go to North Germany, command your army and face Bradenburg alone? It is so easy to command an army from afar, and face Bradenburg together with Austria. If you ever come up with the crazy idea of invading Spain, I will be waiting for you personally, Mr Danger." ----- the population, aplauds, again.

"Coward, Assasin, Mass-Murderer. You are an alcoholic, Mr Danger (comment: England has more refineries then anyone else after all!). A drunk, "un borracho". You are immoral Mr Danger. (comment: whats the morality of going 2v1 against Brandenburg while they are so small and tiny already?) You are the worst ever Mr Danger. God save the world from this menace. Because he is an Assasin. A sick man. Personally, a coward." ----- the population goes crazy and agrees with full heart

"But he has a lot of power. He has a lot of power. And look what is hapening in North Germany. Yesterday the world marched against the war. 70% of your own people, Mr Danger, are against you. Against the war. You are a liar Mr Danger (comment: He said that he wanted to make Holstein free once more, and part of the Hansa... But we know that he just wants their center of trade!). You are killing children who arent responsible for your illness, of your complexes, Mr Danger. You are an Assasin, a coward Mr Danger!" ----- and so ended Chavez's speech.

Hugo Chavez and the Spanish King, Ferdinand in Person

It is rumored, that the King of Spain himself, old as he is, at this moment, said to Chavez himself: "I can die now in peace. But you cant." Will Chavez lead Spain to glory and forturne? Or will Mr Danger suceed and bring chaos and destruction to the world? Stay tunned!

edit: ontime: cash

Holy crap, i got more then 30 provinces so that means 600+600 gold for me (2x since it is 2 scaled stategifts).

So lets see. For ontime we get only cash. For AArs we get either 1% deflation, -3 BB or stategifts as well?

Anyway, this means 600+600 gold (2 scaled stategifts) for me from AAr, and 300 gold for ontime cookie (we are currently in 1488 afaik). 1500 gold overall.
