Just wanted to ask really quick if anyone knows of any particular SRCW mod that allows for better transportation of military units from one nation to another. Specifically, one for short ranged combat aircraft? For example, I make a pretty decent killing when I sell F-4's & F-5's but until recently, I was pretty much restricted to selling them to other nations in my region b/c they have such short range. To counteract that, recently, I just invaded & annexed Lebanon so I can sell them to Israel, Turkey. I'd like to also sell them to Iran since in 1955, they're one of my biggest ME Allies. But they'll just sit on the runway at Beirut Intl Airport because at this point, Iran doesn't have any air transit treaty's & its too far away for them to go.
So, I was wondering if anyone might have created a mod that circumvents this? For example, maybe something like, any sold air units might be respawned to the buyers capitol or once a sale is complete, they're given unlimited range for a short time until they reach the buyers nation? I can understaned the need for having ground units travel by ship, when they feel like it that is, but a lot of $$ is lost when it comes to aircraft. Another thought I had regarding Allied units sitting at your bases after a sale was too, if possible, change the dynamic so that if the player sells weapons, than the PLAYER has to deliver them to the purchaser. I would think that would clear up that issue almost entirely. But, I've never done any MOD'ing for SR so its just a thought.
(Or if anyone knows of any shortcuts or tricks around this subject, please, let me know!=)
Thanks!

Theres an option on selling units called Diplomatic Merchant Marine. If selected the units move from seller to buyer, if unchecked they "magically" appear in the buyer region, usually at the the barracks, port or airbase closest to the capital.

No s**t? Wow, how did I miss that? LoL. What menu is it in? Diplomatic trade? I'm not seeing it.

When you start a new game , look in the game settings , military.

Edit That feature is new so be sure to get latest update as well as register your game.

Hold on a second. it shows up in my settings for a new game already checked so I think its the same for my current game. I tested it out in a new game and it seems to be at least partially active in my current game. Except that the planes only fly off if they're in range. I can't see why it would be checked automatically for a new game and not for my xurrent one since everything was up to date when I started it.

No. I just tried selling a single F-4 to Israel and its sitting at Langley. Altho, I am wondering if the games lag might impact it?
Because right now, there has to be a couple of thousand unit markers on the map, mostly naval that is just slowing me down to a sometimes frustrating level. I've got 8GB of RAM also.

Uncheck for the units to move to the buying region "magically".

From the BG forums

- Unit Trade - default to "trade where located";
---Scenario lobby option “Diplomatic Merchant Marine”, off turn will “magic transport”.
