How much does lack of supply affect ship stats, if at all? Anyone know the formula?
@Sbrubbles

To the best of my knowledge supply does not directly affect ship stats, but it does affect fuel flow to fleets on missions. Reference defines:
  1. NNavy.MAX_FUEL_FLOW_MULT = 2.0 max fuel flow ratio for ships, which will be multiplied by supply
  2. NNavy.FUEL_COST_MULT = 0.10 fuel multiplier for all naval missions
Ships out of fuel will see a reduction in their stats per these defines:
  1. NNavy.OUT_OF_FUEL_SPEED_FACTOR = -0.75
  2. NNavy.OUT_OF_FUEL_RANGE_FACTOR = -0.75
  3. NNavy.OUT_OF_FUEL_ATTACK_FACTOR = -0.5
  4. NNavy.OUT_OF_FUEL_TORPEDO_FACTOR = -0.8

Ah thanks. I guess this means parking a big but near-full fuel fleet as strike force in a low supply zone isn't that bad because it won't lose fuel if it's just chilling waiting for a battle, but being active (convoy raiding or patrolling) with that fleet in a low supply zone is dangerous because it might quickly run out of fuel.

Assuming there aren't other issues like the fleet eating away the army supply there, of course

A near-full fuel fleet assigned to a strike force mission will use zero fuel as long as it remains in port per define N.Navy ON_BASE_FUEL_COST = 0.0 (ships that wait at naval bases cost this ratio).

A fleet assigned to a strike force mission typically remains in port until an enemy fleet is fully spotted at which time it will automatically move to engage the enemy. That strike force fleet will then pay full fuel costs when it moves and it will pay double fuel costs when it is engaged in combat per defines:
  1. N.Navy MISSION_FUEL_COSTS = 1.0 (fuel cost for each mission - STRIKE FORCE)
  2. N.Navy IN_COMBAT_FUEL_COST = 2.0 (ships in combat will get this ratio for fuel cost)
Fleets assigned to convoy raiding missions or to patrol missions are subject to the same or similar defines. See below.

N.Navy MISSION_FUEL_COSTS defines summary table

What does the type of Unit Medals that can be obtained depend on?

From the country? Of the land doctrine? Of the Officer corps?

I have seen that there are different types and with different bonuses, but not all options are available in the same game. The game offers only 4 options.

my guess that is related to political(neutral, fascist etc). but i need more tests to confirm.

I don't have enough men to deploy 24 planes, how can I deploy just 10 planes instead?

That reddit user documented it, is by country, theres the major nations and generics.(same criteria for trains icons).

Do personality traits (Brilliant/Inflexible strategist, Career officer, etc.) slow down XP gain for generals like earned traits do?
What about assignable traits (Infantry expert, Adaptable, Logistics wizard, Charismatic, etc.)?

Only earnable traits affect the speed

Thanks for this answer. One clarifying question- is it only the earnable traits themselves (ex: "Hill Fighter" and "Ranger") that slow down XP gain? Or is the XP gain slowed even further if I pick a trait that has earnable trait prerequisite(s)- like "Adaptable" ?

I've always assumed that holding off picking "Adaptable" or "Infantry Expert" for a while would help accumulate XP faster, but I have no evidence to support that.

Also, expanding even more on mine and your question: I read in several places that lower level generals are supposed to earn traits faster, but I could not find an official or even semi-official source to back it up.
Is this the case or is it just an urban legend (possibly born because lower level general tend to have less earned traits)?

What happens if run a collaboration govt against a tag that multiple other tags are in war with?
  1. Am I correct to think all co-belligerents will benefit from lower capitulation limit?
  2. Will they also get higher post-capitulation compliance in their annexed states as I do?
  3. Does collaboration govt affects Peace Conferences directly or indirectly?
