No limit. Go for it :D There is just an overall ship limit.

Cool. Those pirates will never know what hit them.

Have people established a good "rule of thumb" for the ratios you should use in Space Combat and Ground Combat yet? Until I learn more about the game, i'm just going to use the standard "Attackers should outnumber defenders 3 to 1 at the location of the battle to be victorious".

@LordDamien
You would have to show us a screenshot of the surface view of the planet.

But you can only build observation posts on pre-ftl species. pre-sentient species can not be observed like this but can be uplifted when you have the right tech.

They were stone age people is what i can tell you ( will provide a screenshot next time i play the game, ). Ah That would explain the tab for all the species of people I have met. I have to look though their and find theirs and see what i can do. I wanted to really only do experiments on them for the most part.

Can't update my mod:

It actually might be better to divide up your fleets into there repective classes. Hit a fleet with your battleships (or biggest ships first) and then bring in your smaller fleets into the battle. This will get the opposing fleet engaging your more harder to kill ships whilst your smaller ships deal damage with little-no worry of being killed.

Help! Can someone enlighten me...I found a strategic resource (that betharian stuff or smth) and when I selected it to be part of a sector, it wasn't being supplied anymore. I had to remove it from the sector in order to have access to it again

@MI24th
First you need to research one. One of the earlier techs is hydroponics module and solar panel module. Once you do that select the planet with a space port and switch to the space port tab. Then click the little empty box to the right of your spaceports weapon system. Then a list will be brought up of what you can build.

This is probably blatantly obvious but how do I get / make an initial spaceport module?

You mean, how do you make a spaceport on a new colony? Establish a colony (wait until you see surface and ship shelter), go to spaceport tab, choose one of 3 "initial weapon systems", start building spacepor for 350 minerals.

This may be a bug, post it on bug reports subforum (first you probably need this https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...team-account-to-sync-your-owned-items.894506/ )

ANother question, how does Betharian Stone even work? I have 3 slots of it so I'd assume I'd be able to run 3 betharian power plants but for some reason only one of my factories work. My second factory says no Betharian stone.

Where can I see how much of it I have?

@Clay Hawk
In the top of the screen there is a white icon with an up and down arrow. hover over it and read the tooltip.

Question about Anomalies . Do they always have a chance of appearing as long as you have space that is not explored in your game ( un survey systems ) or do they stop after a while when you get into " Mid game or late Game ". I hope they never stop appearing as long as i have systems that are not survey by my empire

Also is it possible to find a anomaly in another empire system.. That you have not explored yourself but they have ?

Should I be using frontier outposts? I built a few early on in my game and now they're eating through my influence like crazy. I didn't realize they had a constant cost. How else can I connect my boarders when there's no decent habitable worlds around? Should i just let them be separate?

@LordDamien
Every planet you scan has a chance to produce an anomaly. They don't stop at any point unless you stop scanning planets. And with that in mind, yes to the second question.

@klopkr
You should only use them to secure really high value systems that you cannot colonise. IE system with 10+ energy or minerals is always good. Though you should only ever be using about 2-4 at any time.

There are three ways of expanding your borders
1) Getting planets
2) Frontier outposts
3) Techs extending border range

You shouldn't build more than 1 outpost early game, personally I never build more than 2 by mid and 3 late game (usually stick by 2). Put them only on the best, most worthy systems. Also, unfortunately there is no indication of range of potential outposts but if 2-3 systems are close enough they all may be taken by one outpost.

Thanks guys i guess i was using the outposts all wrong. I spawned near a lot of really rich systems with no habitable planets in sight so they were a major boost early on.

Just to be clear when i lose range with mining stations they just disappear right?
