Just bought the game... the manual, while excellent in historical content, is a bit confusing with gaming details. I have the US version but cannot determine how to easily quit the game except to hit "ctrl-alt-delete"... I'm sure there must be an easier way?

Yes there is. Just go to the options menu and choose surrender.

It would be nice to have another way of quitting. It's gets a little tiresome seeing the ending video every time I want to shut down for a bit....say, to write on the forums.
When the first scene of the ending video appears, just click the mouse and it goes straight to the score screen.
This works also to skip the "connecting . . . loading . . . " animation at the beginning.

Ctl-alt-esc toggles out to the desktop, then you can ctl-alt-del and kill the process there. Easy.
I try not to use Ctrl+alt+del too often... somehow i think its not healthy for your pc/program And to imagine my EU being in less than perfect condition is just too horrible a thought to contemplate.

"Surrendering" may be a pain-but when else am I going to see the "defeat" animation!!!!!
