How about a little love for people using linux and fix the file names that prevent starting the mod? Its annoying to have to manually rename them each time a new version of the mod comes out.

It's beta as long as there are question mark coats of arms and the Dothraki Sea is the way it is right now, I think. :p

Which files specifically are causing problems? None of us use linux...

Actually only 1 file in this version, made the post before checking the logs, sorry I was a bit annoyed.
Its gfx/models/Settlements/Dothraki/Mongol_port.xac -> should be Mongol_Port.xac (with a big P), as linux is case sensitive, the mod won't start with the original filename.

The previous version (5.0) had about 6-7 wrong filenames (similarly a difference of 1 uppercase letter) and not sure if those have been fixed consciously or not.

Oh and thanks for the reply and for making the mod, I love it! :)

It shall be fixed for the next version and now that we're aware we can keep an eye on it for the future.

afaik the dotraki Sea is not finished, there are no events and it's not possible to conquer massive parts of 2 Empires because there's nothing.

Greetings

I agree on the first point, but not the second, I'm pretty sure the Dothraki Sea is as it is planned to stay.

But the OP says "You may notice an enormous area called the Dothraki Sea, it is currently inactive as the Dothraki mechanics have not been completed yet". So I assume they're working on mechanics for the Dothraki.

- Missing Stark children may now possibly reveal themselves when adults

How does it look like in the game?

It is just a pop up event saying they have turned up in so and so's court....if thats what you are asking?

I believe i've only had it happen for rickon and bran (2 plays, hardly an exhaustive sample).

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. Do they return with claims?

Rather sad, given that after the twentieth crash in three hours from what appear to be interface issues, the game does tend to get to be a bit of a chore to re-launch.
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the policy. That said, if you want to play, then this tip from Faber81 in another thread fixed the CTD issue for me:
I figured out a way to stop most (if not all in my case) of the crashes, editing slavery_events.txt. I removed the event chains regarding the "escape of a slave" and the "demand freedom of a relative" and it works fine, without removing slavery and all the decisions related to that (only you can't demand freedom for a kin and there won't be any slaves escaping, but it's no big deal imho). Anyway there must be something that break the game in there, but I don't know what it is.
No more crashes for me yay!

If you don't feel comfortable messing around with the innards of the files, you can also delete the "slavery_events.txt" file entirely (it's located in the folder "mod\A Game of Thrones\events" if you can't find it) which will get rid of most of the slavery system, but I believe will also fix the problem.

I really hope that moon tea gets edited, I have far too many stillborn children from the wives drinking moon tea. At the very least I think there needs to be an event that always informs the father of the child if the woman intends to drink moon tea.

You also have to consider that with almost every expansion (Sunset is the exception), the devs have to re-write some code just to make sure that the mod is compatible with the new patches. I wonder how long they will need to be compatible with RoI.

Edit: Anyway, over at the "Dragon Name Suggestions" thread, knuckey has mentioned that there will be fixes to the CTDs, together with improved dragon mechanics, in the next update, which is soon.
